Limetree Care Home provides person-centred dementia care in a spacious and homely environment.

Jonathan and the team at Limetree, recognise the importance of ensuring that every resident receives a service that is based on their needs, their preferences, their beliefs, life history and aspirations.

There is great emphasis on building new friendships and maintaining existing relationships. Family and friends are encouraged to become part of the Limetree community and participate in the daily lifestyle activities that take place.

The team is proud to hold the Beacon-status for the Gold Standards Framework. A framework that is all about the resident and their quality of life, where they will try to ensure each resident and their family are helped to be as physically well as possible, to feel safe, informed, reassured of support. To be treated with dignity and respect, as an individual person, and where your views and preferences are sought and acted upon where possible.

The home is currently undergoing a decoration programme which is all centred on consultation with the residents so that Limetree includes what is important to them and it gives them a sense of belonging in their home.

Residents are key to helping select new staff members through their involvement on the recruitment interview process. Residents get to ask potential candidates questions around how they will deliver their care and help them maintain their quality of life.

The home has recently re-focused on the Resident of day model and is using the form ‘This is me’ from the Alzheimer’s Society to help aid this process. The form provides an easy and practical way of recording who the person is; their cultural and family background; events, people and places from their lives.

I was impressed with the set-up. Interaction among residents was great. So too is with staff. The environment is very clean and tidy. Meeting with other relatives and feelings of the home through discussions was great.

I regularly visit my grandad at Limetree and experience a little of the Limetree way. My grandad seems to be very happy and always well-presented. Thanks to particular staff members like his carers who always go above and beyond their call of duty to ensure my grandad is comfortable.

I have just visited my aunt at the care home today and I am amazed to see such level of interaction between the residents and the staff. The home is clean and tidy, no odour anywhere. My aunt was well groomed and her hair was nicely done. I can only say a big thank you to the staff for their hard work

I am pleased that my mother is happy and content at Limetree Care Home, despite the problems that are presented by her dementia. It is a great load off my mind knowing that she is well cared for, especially as she is not near to me. All the staff are very kind and helpful, and there is a good team spirit
there. They're always welcoming to me as well, and keep me informed if she has any medical problems. Covid lockdown was a terrible time for everyone, but at least I knew that my mother was being cared for well, and they did so much in very challenging circumstances, keeping the home going and making sure that everyone was looked after. It was such a relief to know that she was in good hands, even though I couldn't see her.
Reply from Louise Bouthemy, Regional Quality & Risk Manager at Limetree Care HomeThank you so much for such lovely feedback - the team surely strive to ensure residents' safety and well-being and they will be elated to have this feedback.
Thanks again and take care.

I do visit my grandma every other week on the ground floor in Limetree care home sometimes with my mother and one thing I can say is all the fears my family and I had prior to grandma moving in have completely been eased. My grandma has made friends, the atmosphere within the home and amongst the staff
is positive and the environment is clean. There is usually music playing or some kind of activity going on when we visit which we were scared would be a problem as grandma lived a fully active life before moving in but she seems to have settled in fine. I'm very appreciative to the managers and the rest of the team for taking such good care of my grandma.
Reply from Louise Bouthemy, Regional Quality & Risk Manager at Limetree Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. We are thrilled your Grandma has made friends and enjoys her days at the home. It's so important you and your family feel at ease and we're so pleased this is the case.
Take care.

Mum has been here just over 2 years, she has nursing dementia needs and is looked after by a team of nurses and carers. She has regular staff which makes it easy for mum to know. She gets on well with the lifestyle coordinators and has a good relationship with the admin which was built through Covid
as we did video calls to keep up to date.

My Aunt entered Limetree (reluctantly) at the end of 2018. Although she took a little time to settle, the staff worked very hard to help her adjust and when I visited her for the first time she was sitting with visiting schoolchildren painting Valentine cards. I believe she is very well cared for and
has the opportunity to join in with several activities which she enjoys. The environment is modern, clean and well-maintained and my Aunt has a very comfortable room with a nice view of the garden. I can't visit in person as often as I'd like but communication from the centre is excellent and I receive regular reports on my Aunt's welfare and well-being. I know in my heart that she would rather be in her own home but Limetree works hard to make the centre the next best option.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.931)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.931) out of 10 for Limetree Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 32 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 32 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.931 for Limetree Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (351 Excellents x 5) + (24 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 376 Ratings = 4.931
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Limetree Care Home is based on 32 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 92 registered maximum number of service users is 18.4, which has been reached with 32 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
