Limetree Care Home provides person-centred dementia care in a spacious and homely environment.

Jonathan and the team at Limetree, recognise the importance of ensuring that every resident receives a service that is based on their needs, their preferences, their beliefs, life history and aspirations.

There is great emphasis on building new friendships and maintaining existing relationships. Family and friends are encouraged to become part of the Limetree community and participate in the daily lifestyle activities that take place.

The team is proud to hold the Beacon-status for the Gold Standards Framework. A framework that is all about the resident and their quality of life, where they will try to ensure each resident and their family are helped to be as physically well as possible, to feel safe, informed, reassured of support. To be treated with dignity and respect, as an individual person, and where your views and preferences are sought and acted upon where possible.

The home is currently undergoing a decoration programme which is all centred on consultation with the residents so that Limetree includes what is important to them and it gives them a sense of belonging in their home.

Residents are key to helping select new staff members through their involvement on the recruitment interview process. Residents get to ask potential candidates questions around how they will deliver their care and help them maintain their quality of life.

The home has recently re-focused on the Resident of day model and is using the form ‘This is me’ from the Alzheimer’s Society to help aid this process. The form provides an easy and practical way of recording who the person is; their cultural and family background; events, people and places from their lives.

Kindness and care in helping to settle into a new environment. Helpful having staff on the floor and at the nurse's station.
Activities to have a sense of community and great to have a piano.

Very good that the home smelt clean, so often in care homes there is a smell.
Very helpful staff.
The window in my friend's room is covered with material that you cannot see through so she cannot look at the outside world.

I would to thank all the staff at Limetree Care Home. My mum was admitted to home last November after becoming very unwell following a viral infection. My mum has remained very settled, it is wonderful to see how she has gained weight.
She was not eating and taking her medication was a problem when
she was in living on her own aided by carers.
Whilst she has been at Limetree she has gained weight, she engages in activities and talks about what she has done.
Thank you for all your patience, understanding and care. Seeing my mum settled has really given me peace of mind.

I visit my uncle at Limetree Care Home on a weekly basis, and I’m very much impressed with the home as a whole. Kind staff members who are attentive to my uncle really give me peace of mind. The environment is always tidy and clean, and I usually arrive at the time that they are doing their exercise
activities, and my uncle does thoroughly enjoy them.

Carers are really helpful. Every time I come and see my relative, she is clean and talking with other residents. I made the decision to bring her there. I'm really happy that she is there. She is happy, and I'm also relaxed that she is somewhere safe and well looked after. Thank you, Limetree.

My grandad lives in Limetree and he is very happy. We love visiting him in a clean and nice environment and being able to sometimes get involved in activities that they might be doing during the time of our visit. Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.931)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.931) out of 10 for Limetree Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 32 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 32 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.931 for Limetree Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (351 Excellents x 5) + (24 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 376 Ratings = 4.931
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Limetree Care Home is based on 32 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 92 registered maximum number of service users is 18.4, which has been reached with 32 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
