I was very impressed from my first enquiry to my father's return home. All the staff I've dealt with have been extremely professional caring kind and above all, they enjoy helping the residents and their relatives. He was given such a warm welcome when we arrived which gave me peace of mind for the
duration of his stay knowing that he was being looked after by such a kind caring team. We will definitely use Uplands Care Home for respite care in the future. Thank you for looking after my father so well.

My ex husband / son’s father is currently receiving end of life care at Uplands Care Home. As a Nurse myself I have been so impressed with the high level of nursing care he is receiving. The staff are all very welcoming, friendly and truly care for the residents and families. Nothing is too much for
them. I go home after my visits with no worries as I know he is safe and in good hands. This is so important when you are dealing with the emotions of facing the loss of a loved one.

My experience with Uplands staff has been very good, overall. They are friendly and professional. I am particularly grateful for their efforts to celebrate my uncle's 100th birthday, which was a very special and thoughtful event. My uncle is cared for with respect and dignity. He is clean and nourished
and I feel confident that he is safe and secure. His clothes laundering is well organised too. The home is clean, although inevitably there are times when the corridor does not smell fresh. I appreciate that the staff phone me to let me know any developments about my uncle.

Mum has been at Uplands for three weeks and is settling in nicely. The staff are very accommodating and are able to meet Mum's cultural needs from food, to having interaction with other residents of the same culture. Mum says she is OK and the staff treat her with care and respect. After being very
against Mum being placed into a care home, I feel assured that the home respect her dignity, culture and healthcare needs.

This week my mum had a sudden fall, not long before handover at 8pm. The paramedics were called and she was taken to hospital to be checked over, where she was admitted. The male nurse in charge stayed until 10pm, when the ambulance left, long after his shift had ended and made sure I was updated before
he had left, which I am very grateful for.

I'm very happy with the care and support of my aunty. She is smiling and content whenever I come to visit. The staff are friendly and personable from the moment I walk into reception. It really helps to ease my anxiety and puts a smile on my face as I go to see my aunty. I know you have a range of meals
but my aunty is keen to eat food prepared in a west indian way, although I know this is not practical.

It’s with a very heavy heart I am writing this as my father passed away on the 11th of April 2022. The end of life care he was given was unbelievable. I would like to mention a few people, firstly the manager, two members of staff, in particular, the maintenance man and the rest of the staff, who were
all outstanding. It had been a hard 5-weeks watching my father pass as well as me going to work, but it always made my day when I came to see dad and how well dressed and lovely he looked. My family and I would like to send our love to everyone, they made our last memories ones never, to be forgotten. My father is now starting his last wish, to be buried in Barbados, which is going to be happening very soon. I would give the home top marks in everything and I even received a call from the manager today to see how myself and the family are doing. Thank you Uplands Care Home, my father’s family for the last 7-plus years.

My aunt was in Uplands for seven months. She was taken to hospital with pain and doctor's found she had cancer. She said she did not want treatment, only to go home. I asked her where home was and she said Uplands in Streatham.

Uplands Care Home is a gift to family members! The staff are warm and welcoming, and the team is lead beautifully by the manager. The team have cared for my mother so well, and I am incredibly grateful. The staff feel like family, and in times like these, the reassurance they have provided is priceless.
I always know she is not being mistreated but treated with tender care. My mother was coming from having to previously rely on home visiting carers that often had a fast turnover and limited connections. I am happy that uplands seem to retain a constant roaster of exceptional staff. Thank you team Uplands!

Mum has been a resident at Uplands Care Home since May 2015. She went into Uplands reluctantly. Mum has suffered with psychotic illness/schizo affective disorder, so Mum's behaviour has been very challenging for all the family and staff. She could be physically and verbally challenging when unwell and
can't remember anything afterwards when well. The staff at Uplands got to understand Mum's ways, they adapted to her, calling her Princess and Bubbles, which Mum loved. During Covid, they were Mum's only support. We did not see Mum for a year leaving her care up to them.

In the four years of my friend living at Uplands, I have experienced much kindness from carers and nursing staff. They always have been willing to listen to requests. They have discussed care plans regularly and have been open to suggestions. The nursing staff have made suggestions to improve the lifestyle
ie to buy a television for my friend, despite her dementia etc.

Hello, I just had to share my amazing experience with Uplands Care Home. My wonderful Mum came to live here a few years ago. From the very beginning, they tended to her every need and it became quite obvious that the staff were kind, caring, professional and the right people to look after my mum, and
this was the right place for her due to how clearly involved the management was. I used to visit daily and noticed how clean and well looked after it was, and because of this, we then decided that my Sister would also be happy here. The communication via myself and the staff was always brilliant. Any questions are always listened to and answered.
It wasn't easy to get my sister into Uplands but it happened with the manager's help and support, she went above and beyond. It is obvious that she cares deeply and is great management.
I will be forever grateful.

The staff are friendly and caring. My relative is happy being there. When I visited my mum on 20th August 2020, she was very cheerful and looked good ie clean and happy to see me, though I was not happy that I have to stand outside even though I booked an appointment, but the staff I saw explained why
