St Vincent's House

I selected this home for my relative as I needed to find somewhere quite rapidly following a hospital stay and when it become clear that living at home would not work. That was over 2 years ago and I have had no cause to regret my haste!. The staff are outstanding and provide very personal care. I like the consistency of who works on the floor, I am always warmly greeted by those who are on duty and the floor manager Renee, if asked, will always make time to review my relative with me. Food is varied and quite well presented. Cleaning and hygiene in the purpose built light and airy building is excellent although (as minor comment) I would say the communal and bedroom bathroom facilities look quite tired and would benefit from a refurbishment. Likewise some attention is needed to resolve the frequent lift breakdowns.

Over the years I have had much contact with Care homes for various relatives and I would highly recommend St Vincent's House

The way the staff foster a sense of familiarity, routine, and dignity is truly commendable. I picked up some colleague nomination cards but found it impossible to choose - there are simply too many people to thank, and I didn't want to leave anyone out! Please pass on my sincere thanks to everyone involved in her care. Your work is invaluable, and I'm so grateful for the difference you make every day.

My mum has been at St Vincents for 7 months now and I am very happy with the care that she has received. She is treated with kindness and respect and her individual needs are taken into consideration. There is a fantastic, varied activities program which keeps her busy and any special requests eg for food are always acted upon. All the staff are caring and approachable which contributes to the sense of community within the home.

As a son living far from my mother with dementia, I would often wonder how she was. But, as I learned of St. Vincent's brand of quality care for its residents, I became confident my mother was well taken care of with love & respect. When she passed, I could feel how the care home staff missed her like family. For all these, I'm very grateful to St. Vincent's Care Home.

Mom has advanced dementia. She moved to St. Vincent's in July and we were very concerned the move would be disorientating and traumatic for her as she was very settled in the previous home. Obviously there was some confusion but the staff were absolutely brilliant with her. Much to our surprise and relief Mom was extremely quickly very happy. She likes her new room and is much more involved in activities. For somebody who always likes to be busy this is working really well for her. We are particularly pleased with the cleanliness of the home and the attention to Mom's personal hygiene. Which is not an easy task for the carers as Mom has a very independent and stubborn streak. All in all we could not have wished for a better out come.

My friend has been a resident at St. Vincent's for 6 months now. At first he was very disoriented and didn't understand why he was there. He was recovering from a fall, was dehydrated and fragile after a nasty bout of flu. Over the months his health and strength has returned, and his memory has improved. Generally he seems happier and quite settled and has started to be more chatty with the staff and more sociable. I have minor concerns regarding his everyday grooming and personal appearance, which doesn't seem to be high on the agenda, but in every other respect he appears to being treated well and cared for by the team.

I truly enjoy the activities I attend, especially when animals visit for pet therapy-it's always such a wonderful experience. The activities team are very enthusiastic and always create a welcoming, engaging atmosphere for everyone. The home itself is very clean, well cared for, and the management team are always approachable and helpful.

A big thank you to everyone here and hopefully mums going to be with us for a long time to come.

A superb nursing home! I had to leave a review for the staff at St. Vincent Nursing Home. My father was cared for by the dementia team, and they truly exceeded my expectations - so professional, kind, and compassionate. I had assumed nursing homes were neglectful, but this couldn't be further from the truth here. Every day, nurses and carers attentively looked after him. His room and bathroom were always clean and comfortable, and they even let us bring his own wall-mounted TV, which the lovely handyman installed. He was served delicious meals, and staff even offered me food when I visited - such a thoughtful touch. My family and I appreciated how willing they were to accommodate anything for his comfort. Special thanks to a few specific members of staff, and all the amazing team. You were a blessing to my father in his final days. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

I am a regular volunteer at the care home and I attend the activity hour twice a week. While volunteering I have seen a wide range of activities which have been provided which encourage residents to engage with each other. There is a very friendly and fun environment here where all residents seem to thoroughly enjoy these activities that take place.

St Vincent's Care Home Hammersmith have been taking care of both my grandparents for over a year. The care which they have received is outstanding and consistent. The kindness and attention is noticed. They welcome family to the care home with much warmth. They are always happy to assist with a smile, even in challenging times. We have been extremely satisfied with the standard of care given.

If I am there during lunchtime the food always looks very presentable and looks very well cooked with good variety.Overall the experience is highly positive.

My brother took up residence 1st week of February. Continuing care end of life.This place is very special. He is content and very comfortable.The staff are very caring and attentive.Nothing is too much trouble .They are friendly and welcoming and engage with relatives.St Vincent's is very well maintained,lovely fresh decor and no unpleasant odours .Its very homely and comfortable. Well run and managed staff will gladly answer your questions.Professional medical staff in house and gp visits what more can you ask for?. Have complete confidence in management and staff.would highly recommend this establishment. Plus activities available to suit all residents .

I am happy for everything. Top class, no complaints. The care I am receiving is More than I expected. I am happy with the room and all the services being provided. The nurses and all staff are very good, they are very attentive.

A diggestion is, that when the office is unmanned, an entry code should be left on the entry pad and removed when the office is manned so entry is not hindered.

The staff are all so friendly, caring, helpful and really take time with my mother going over and above to make sure she is ok, safe and looked after. They take the time to engage with her and also with the other residents. The management team are very approachable, personable, professional and helpful. We have seen an improvement in the meals and snacks recently. Housekeeping is good, staff is helpful. The activities team do an amazing job making such an effort to put on a variety of activities for the residents including those who don’t leave their rooms. It is evident how much the residents enjoy this time. The garden is lovely and peaceful. There is also a great hair salon. My mother is very happy at St. Vincent’s nursing home and we are also very happy that she is there as she is well looked after and safe. That is a testament to all the staff and the care given at all levels from carers, nurses, support, housekeeping, kitchen, admin and management etc. Thank you St. Vincent’s.

I think more could be done to make the garden space more pleasant to be in. My mother very much enjoys the food provided at the home and the singing entertainment.

When I leave the care home I never worry about her well-being they are so attentive.
