St Vincent's House has a real family feel and everyone is friendly and welcoming. The knowledgeable team provides personalised nursing and dementia care for older people on a permanent or respite basis.

The home is light and airy with beautiful facilities including a comfortable cinema room, a vintage tea room café, a sun lounge and an activity room. The home and grounds are fully wheelchair accessible, so residents can enjoy relaxing in large garden space, or even getting involved in the weeding and planting.

Residents at St Vincent's House have their own unique, personalised care plans, which are continually monitored and updated to account for any changes to care needs or personal wishes.

other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

St Vincents House has many facilities on site, however, due to my mum's condition, she is unable to use the as much as others. I decided to bring Mum to St Vincents House as she has grown up in the area and wanted her to continue to have contacts with locals. It's a lovely residential area and the layout
of the home has a private feel to it, as well as a warm community environment. Other relatives will visit my Mum and I have been able to talk to them personally and not feeling alone as they are going through the same.

The staff are friendly and always smiling. They address my mum by her name and seemed to know her soon after she moved in. Everyone is spotless - cleanliness is superb. The food always looks yummy too!! Any requests made to staff are always done immediately - they are all so helpful.

My mother has been in St Vincents for nearly 8 years now. In that time she has been cared for and looked after really well. There have been times when I have felt very sad about my mum's declining health and the staff have also supported me. The staff at St Vincents always take care to inform me of
my mum's health and listen to me when I suggest things regarding her. Mum feels safe and secure where she is. I really couldn't ask for more than that.

Job Title: Home Manager

I'm very proud that I started my career as a Nurse at St Vincent's House and have worked my way to Deputy Manager and now Home Manager.


Care UK is excellent at seeing the potential in colleagues and supporting them to develop their skills and expertise.


The team at St Vincent's House is very close-knit and hardworking. We support each other to do our best for residents and their families. There's always a lot to juggle each day. In my role I tackle anything from recruiting new team members to supporting colleagues with training, getting to grips with new policies and procedures, and liaising with relatives.


What I do is only possible with the support of our amazing team. They never cease to surprise me with their dedication and passion for what they do.
