Alexander Court Care Centre

Since my wife has been here I have found everything good, looked after well and also have been kind to me by feeding me lunch with my wife together.

Made welcome from arriving at the home. Very clean and friendly. Any problems are sorted that day, good food and lots of choice and diet needs are catered for. Friendly staff, greeted by all, would recommend to others. Made the room like home and everyone always helpful.

What can one say, the staff and management of Alexander Court Care Centre were fantastic, although my cousin was there only a week. Myself and husband were treated like family. Kind and helpful at all times bluebell unit is where my dear cousin was and he was treated with respect at all times. Kept clean and any wishes he had upheld, the day before he passed he said he was comfy and how quiet the unit was.

Well done Alexander Court Care Centre and a big thank you from all the family.

Amazing staff and management. Have been very supportive throughout the time my mother has been there. The staff have cared and supported Mum and made her feel safe and happy. Our family would like to say thank you to the team and management for everything.

Our family cannot thank the staff enough for the care they gave Dad. We were all apprehensive about our dad going into a care home for respite but he went in a poorly man and came out to being our dad again and that is all because of the care he was given. From the management to the cleaning staff, you are all brilliant.

The staff at the Alexander Court Care Centre were brilliant looking after my mother in her last few months. The management and staff running the home have a very professional and caring attitude. My mother passed away in a comfortable and peaceful environment.

I would recommend Alexander Court to friends and family as it was recommended to me. Any problems with my husband's care were discussed by myself and the staff and the answer, I am pleased to say, was found. The friendly and welcoming staff are to be praised for their ongoing care for all their patients.

Very professional staff and also a very good manager. Excellent care is given to all residents and very helpful if there are any problems.

If you find yourself under the care of some of the staff from Bluebell Unit, then you're in luck! I absolutely loved my stay there and lord knows I wasn't an easy person for them! But they helped me either way and the cleaners to the kitchen staff were all so great. The night staff as well, equally as lovely; several in particular and whoever else took great care of me during the night; I thank you.

My father was a resident at Alexandra Court Care Centre. My family visited him and every time he was in clean clothes. His room was hazard-free. The room was well ventilated. Alexandra Court Care Centre staff are friendly, always attentive, and reported back to the family about his needs and feeding progress. They communicated directly with him even when I visited and it was pleasing to see how much confidence he held on to the staff and carers at Alexandra Court Care Centre. From managing his medication up to facilitating his hospital appointments Alexandra Court Care Centre staff were brilliant. I was really touched by the way they go the extra mile in their service.

The staff were pleasant and cared for my mum. The restrictions and red tape regarding visiting were initially onerous for a resident in respite care but this was overcome and mum appeared in good spirits. Mum's care in respite allowed me to respond to other family issues that came up and have a short break myself.

I was dreading visiting my grandmother since her fall. The level of cleanliness, facilities, comfort for the residents, and attention to detail from the staff was amazing. Thank you! She’s so happy and has really put my mind at rest.

My husband was a resident at Alexander Court for 18 months until he sadly passed away in August 2020. I am very thankful to all the staff for how my husband was cared for and how he was very well looked after. I found the staff to be very approachable and I could always speak to them about any concerns and they would always make me feel welcome. I wish the home and staff the very best for the future.

I have been bowled over by the staff's handling of the pandemic. I have had regular face-time contact with my mum and now I am even visiting once a fortnight in their safely managed secure garden. Everyone has been caring and understanding. Well Done.

Excellent, caring and professional.

The family chose Alexander Court after visiting 4 other care homes. It immediately felt homely and friendly, from the receptionist onwards. Since the 3 years Mum has been there, carpet replacement in the corridor and decorating has been carried out. Talking to the chef at one of the regular relative's meetings he seemed happy with the kitchen equipment provided. He and his staff give residents the type of food they want, plus new menus for them to try. The activity ladies offer an alternative to staying their rooms or lounge, by getting them to use their memories and coordination often through music - excellent. The nurses are very friendly, professional and patient with the residents. The carers who, despite Mum's sometimes challenging behaviour, somehow managed to cope with the work they have to do. I must not forget the often unseen staff such as the administrator, housekeeping, laundry, cleaners, handyman etc. The manager seems very capable, approachable and has the residents and relatives interests at heart and welcomes input and suggestions.

My Mum was on end of life. The care home was Alexander Court. Mum was a resident for 7 years. The care throughout was unbelievable. She was treated with dignity all the time. I could not have asked for better and Mum's last 3 weeks were so peaceful and all the staff were so kind, as though she was their Mum. I would like to thank the Manager and all the day and night staff for their help.

Within the 5 weeks of our son being in Alexander Court Care Centre, we have been very satisfied with the service provided and made to feel welcome by all staff.
