an agreed hourly charge for this service.

Such a lovely visit as always. Staff were very accommodating from booking the visit, right up until the minute we left. We booked for a large group of 10 and were assigned the garden room which was set up beautifully and we were offered drinks and checked on throughout our visit. It was a very positive
visit and it's clear to see how happy she is there - I believe that this is down to the wonderful care she receives. Even on leaving the manager made the effort to ask us how the visit was. A very deserved outstanding rating.

Visited my Granny today and as always we were very well looked after. Staff are so welcoming and friendly and were so accommodating, providing us with tea, coffee and biscuits during our visit. The home is clean and well kept and my Granny is very happy and well looked after there. Staff go above and
beyond to make residents and visitors happy. We used the garden room which had been decorated for Christmas and had a lovely festive feel. There was a group of 9 of us visiting today but nothing is a problem for staff at Amberley. We had the room to ourselves and were made to feel very welcome. Really enjoyed our visit today and it's easier to leave Granny there knowing that she is in the best hands of caring, loving staff. Can't rate this care home highly enough! Thanks to all staff at Amberley Lodge.

We had a lovely visit today. The staff are always so lovely and always give such a warm welcome. We came in a large group today so had our visit in a room which was set up with a festive backdrop and lots of fairy lights, which the kids loved. This is just one of the many times we have seen the staff
at Amberley go over and above with different ideas for different occasions to treat the residents and keep them entertained. We were offered hot drinks and given biscuits too - nothing is ever too much and we always feel at ease, as everyone is always so accommodating. We are so lucky that our precious Grannie is in such great hands and cannot fault the care she receives in this lovely care home. Keep up the great work Amberley, we really appreciate everything that you do. You are all amazing and always go the extra mile.

Mum has been at Amberley Lodge now for well over a year. There have been some ups and downs but generally, things have been really great for her. During covid, the home was very honest and professional in their approach to informing families of the protocol. This meant we as a family could still see
Mum from time to time. Mum, her weight has gained during her time here and due to the regular activities she is fairly sharp.

My mother has been at Amberley Lodge since April. After a period of adjustment, which was to be expected, she has settled into the home really well. She is so well-cared-for and it feels like a real family community. As a nurse myself I know how important excellent care is and how rare it is to find

I wanted to say a big well done to all the team at Amberley Lodge for their Platinum Jubilee celebrations across 4 days. I attended the relatives gathering on Sunday 5th June and I thought it was a tremendous effort with the food and drinks that were laid on. A really good spread. We even managed to
get mum out in the wheelchair for some tea and cake. Thank you for an excellent afternoon. Shouldn't be surprised as this is very much in keeping with how the home is run - very well organised. Happy in the knowledge that mum is well looked after and cared for.

Mum is very happy at Amberley Lodge and has quickly found it to be home. Staff are wonderful, caring and attentive. Food is amazing and mum is always keen to get home after a trip out, which to me is so reassuring that she feels safe and happy!

From her initial assessment, mum has been treated with so much respect and care. I cannot thank the team enough for the excellent care they give to mum every day. The whole team from the brilliant Manager, through admin and services, to the wonderful care team have worked with every effort to ensure
mum could stay at Amberley Lodge and that all her needs are met with dignity. Mum has dementia and her behaviour can be difficult. Amberley Lodge has turned that behaviour around and now mum has a good quality of life. She is safe, engaged and happy. I cannot recommend Amberley Lodge enough. 5 stars.

My mother has recently returned from respite care at Amberley Lodge and I'm so impressed with how well she was treated throughout her stay there. Mum has late stage dementia together with depression and anxiety. I was intially worried as to how she would adapt in a new environment. However, from the
moment she arrived the staff were so kind and attentive to her needs that, when I left, I felt totally confident that she was in very safe hands. The floor she was on was very secure and her room was bright, airy and very pleasant with en-suite bathroom facilities. She had easy access to the lounge and dining room which are cheerful, cosy and very well laid out. I usually have trouble getting Mum to eat but the menu at Amberley is so varied that she was spoilt for choice. The staff were very efficient in dealing with Mum's medication and sensitive to her incontinence issues. Thank you to all the staff for their outstanding care and professionalism.

My mother lived in Amberley Lodge for almost 6 months until her death in February 2022. From our very first contact with Amberley staff, we were impressed by their attention to detail and genuine concern in supporting Mum in transitioning from hospital. Initially, my Mum’s plans changed but the staff
at Amberley assured us this was often the case and agreed to follow up with us at a later date. When Mum did move to Amberley, her room was personalised to support the transition, her diet (coeliac) was given special attention and the staff were very welcoming. Throughout her stay at Amberley she was treated with loving care. Nothing was too much trouble. Amberley Lodge is a care home that specialises in Dementia Care and Mum benefited from the staff having the specialist knowledge of caring for clients with dementia. At all times she was allowed to do whatever she could for herself and when more personal care was required the staff maintained Mum's dignity and privacy.

My mum was a resident at Amberley Lodge for 9 months. I have only got good things to say. The staff went above and beyond, they were loving and attentive to all my mum's needs, she was treated like family. I would highly recommend Amberley Lodge to anyone looking for a loving and caring environment

My Mum moved into Amberley Lodge in December 2021, Mum has Dementia and we were really struggling to meet her needs at home. The manager and the staff at Amberley are experts in Dementia care and Dementia Nursing care. I visited many other nursing/care homes and the team at Amberley are by far the most
knowledgeable, understanding, and caring I have dealt with. I really didn't think I would be able to say this but Mum has improved since being at Amberley. During our short visits, Mum is relaxed, smiling, very well dressed, and looks so well and happy. I have no doubt she is challenging but my goodness what an amazing job the staff are doing because clearly her needs are being met so unbelievably well. We were extremely nervous about the move as we had tried a different care home in the summer for Mum which was a total disaster and left us in a crisis but the whole experience with Amberley has been outstanding. We are so grateful we found such a wonderful home for our Mum.

From our first visit to Amberley Lodge until the end of the four-week respite care period, we experienced outstanding care, kindness, and approachability from all staff. It is a testament to the high level of skills shown by the staff that my husband left the Lodge reabled. He was able to walk, to manage
his own personal care, to use a knife and fork, and to avoid falls - all serious issues when he entered the Lodge. Carers, chef service, laundry, reception staff showed superb attention to detail and showed pride in their work. Evidence of a high level of understanding of dementia care was striking. This showed me that Amberley Lodge values the best training available for its staff and they in turn value the respect in which they are held by leaders.

My wife has been resident in Amberley Lodge for two years, suffering from severe dementia. The care staff and management are consistently caring, thoughtful, compassionate and tolerant of sometimes challenging behaviour. We had our golden wedding in July, and the staff pulled out all the stops to give
me and two daughters a celebratory lunch under an awning in the garden, a real treat for all of us, and very much appreciated.

My mother has been a resident for 5 years. She is well cared for and has been since day one. The staff have done an amazing job of keeping COVID at bay and keeping residents as safe as possible. Video calls were appreciated through the lockdown. The management are very accommodating to relatives needs.
The garden is a lovely feature of the home which the residents can enjoy.

The family had doubts that our mother would settle into a home but thanks to the very good advice and assistance the manager supplied she has settled in well. I have found all the staff very helpful. Also to compile a book detailing mum’s history is a lovely touch.

My Mum who has dementia has been residing at Amberley Lodge since the beginning of January 2021. From the moment she went there we were reassured by the excellent care that was given to her. The staff are amazing - so reassuring and caring and look after the residents with so much compassion. We have
100% peace of mind now and know that she is well looked after and is very happy and content. The staff are on the ball and always informative and keep you up to date with what is happening. As a family, we could not wish for a better place for my mum to be.

Mum is cared for by a wonderful team. They are always so kind and attentive. Myself, brothers and sisters were able to celebrate mum's 94th birthday with her and the staff were fantastic. They had given her a party in the morning with the other residents and this afternoon, supplied the most fabulous
cake, balloons and banners. They are truly wonderful. Thank you to the manager and your fantastic team!

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2016

I have a nursing degree as well as an MBA from the University of Wales. I started my career with Care UK when I joined Amberley Lodge as a Senior Nurse in 2016. It was an exciting move as Care UK has a superb reputation for its vision of care and the support it gives to its colleagues.


I’ve seen the company’s high-quality approach to care in action at Amberley Lodge; it was a privilege to be part of the team that achieved an ‘outstanding’ CQC rating in 2018. Now to be the home’s Manager is something truly special.


I love spending time with residents and colleagues to find out how their day is going and look for ways I can support them to enjoy their day to the full. We’re one big family - relatives, residents and colleagues all look out for each other. I look forward to welcoming you to Amberley Lodge very soon.
