Atfield House is a modern, purpose built home set on beautifully landscaped gardens. The care provider is located in Isleworth; opposite St. John's Park and close to Syon Park, Kew Gardens and the Thames Riverside.

The facility provide first-class nursing and residential care and also provide expert care for those with Dementia in their Memory Lane Community and have a facility for palliative care.

A team of highly-qualified and attentive staff focus on the individual needs of residents with a tailored care plan for each person. The teams dedication can be seen across the board - in cooking, hospitality and in organising activities for residents.

Atfield House is a very warm and friendly Care Home that is very efficiently run and managed. Communication is very good and any requests or queries I have raised have been speedily dealt with or resolved. I have been kept informed by the nursing staff of any health issues that have arisen with my
brother, which is very reassuring.
The Care Home itself feels safe and secure and has a lovely feel to it; it is pleasantly decorated and everywhere is immaculately clean and tidy. The dining room is a lovely cosy area and the daily menus are displayed. The food is of a high standard and there is always a choice. I cannot praise the staff enough, especially the Nurses and Carers, who are not only kind and caring but are always polite and cheerful and treat the residents with respect.
Also at Atfield House, there are daily activities and events arranged for the residents so there is always something of interest going on. Physio is also available to those residents requiring it.

My mother-in-law had respite care in Atfield House in July for two weeks. The overall care she got there was excellent and she was very happy and settled in well there for her stay. Friends who called to see her said the staff and management were very caring and friendly. I have no hesitation in recommending
Atfield House very highly and would use it again for ongoing care.

From the moment of our first enquiries about a home for my mother, the staff at Barchester Atfield House Care Home could not have been more helpful. One admission, my mother was initially bewildered and disorientated and all the staff treated her (and us) with such care and compassion. They are kind
and gentle with her and treat her with respect. They respond promptly to requests and are polite and efficient. The building is bright, airy and clean and visitors are welcomed. I feel that my mother is safe and comfortable and will be well cared for.

My 92-year-old mother was not able to return to her home following a fall and hospital admission. I looked at care homes nearer me and was instantly impressed on a visit to Barchester Atfield House Care Home, where the managers were very accommodating in meeting the family's needs. I am very impressed
with the care and attention of a team of dedicated nurses and other people and feel more comfortable that my mum is being kept safe than with a live-in home carer. There is a very calm and peaceful air about the home. In addition, I am impressed by the efforts made to keep residents as active as they can in mind and body with a vast programme of varied activities.

Our aunt was in the care home seven months. She was well looked after. She was always clean. Food was excellent and her room always clean. Any needs or problems were immediately addressed and resolved. Staff are very caring and professional.

I arrived to visit my friend, we had a coffee and a cake. Wonderfully inviting, clean and friendly. Superbly decorated and comfortable. Care team were absolutely lovely. Interested in my friend who said she felt valued like a princess. Definitely treats residents as individuals, I'm impressed greatly
by the care here. Celebrating life is the motto here. In practice also.

All staff were very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Demonstrated to me, dignity and respect for the elderly nursing care is excellent.
My husband was very anxious at being in a care home for the first time, would meet his needs. They always listened and took on board his worries and panic
sometimes.
They showed concern for me as his carer. Lovely surroundings like a hotel.

Having used the care home for respite care in 2023, it was an easy decision to choose this home again when our mother needed more urgent permanent, 24-hour care. The home "pulled out all the stops" and found her a room the same day of our request.

I met with the team at Barchester Atfield House Care Home to discuss my father's complex needs and was instantly met with understanding, empathy and support. I was thoroughly impressed with the room, facilities and gardens and left feeling comforted that all of my father's needs would be met.
Upon
commencing my father's four weeks respite stay, the team made him feel at ease and were always willing to provide something different or change times of meals to suit him. I want to personally thank the deputy manager who has provided sound advice and support for his ongoing medical needs and we only hope he can make a full recovery.

Barchester Atfield House Care Home has been a good experience for my 88-year-old mother. They have been very caring following her stoke and the setting has enabled her to have a better experience in a caring environment. In 2023 I had three short stays at Barchester Atfield House Care Home, Isleworth, so when it became necessary for me to have more care, I knew exactly where I'd go! It is a very welcoming, cheerful home with modern colours and art. Rooms are comfortable, there is a variety of activities, morning and
afternoon, with professional guests at times. There are regular doctor and physio visits, hairdresser. I feel very safe here, so if you were looking for care of a loved one, you would have no worries at all to place them here. Staff always like to make sure you are happy. They are cheerful and run a very happy care home.

My mother, who is living with dementia, has been at Barchester Atfield House Care Home for just over a year after a fall that put her in hospital. She is receiving a good level of care. We had initially selected Atfield because of the atmosphere, that seemed to be less institutional than other homes
we had visited. What is a key factor now is that the management and teams seek feedback and respond to improve the service. We have seen the staff develop (at least one of the members of staff has won an external award), there is little churn of staff which is a good indicator.
There has been a significant development in the activities program. There were many events around Christmas that engaged the families, these included panto, carols, tea, trip to the local church for a nativity service. There has been similar engagement for Mother's Day and Easter. There is a varied and busy weekly program of activities that includes exercise, visits from schools and pet farms, trips to garden centres and parks.

The staff are very caring and keep me well informed of my mum's progress.
Laundry is done very promptly and the home is clean.
The food is mostly good, though my mother has difficulties with eating. The staff are very attentive to me too, e.g. offering me tea and biscuits as well when I visit.
The
home is safe and welcoming.

Hi, my name is Subin, and I am the General Manager here at Atfield House.
I transferred here from another Barchester Healthcare care home in Chippenham.
I joined Barchester in 2019 and I have been the General Manager of Atfield House Nursing Home since 2022, I am committed to ensuring the residents receive the very highest standard of care, and I am passionate about developing and leading my team in a way in which they are empowered to use their skills and knowledge for the wellbeing of those we support. I am so proud to receive the CQC inspection report with one outstanding rating under a responsive domain. My favourite part of the job is meeting all our residents and finding out about their life and backgrounds -I have met some really interesting people throughout my career and I think life history plays such a vital part in everyone’s care. My vision for Atfield House is to create a “ home away from home environment for our residents and be one big happy family.


I have over 14 years of experience in the care sector and I have recently completed my Step up programme with Warwick University. I really enjoy the daily challenges, team recruitment and always pushing and exceeding performance where I can. I also enjoy adding value, enhancing care and giving elder life purpose to enable residents to engage in a fulfilled life. lam passionate about delivering the levels and standards of care that I would expect for my own parents. My biggest achievement is Making a difference in people's lives throughout my career. I strive to continually develop which ensures that the individuals I care for experience the very best care and life enrichment in later life. I started working in Atfield House in 2004 as a Carer, and was eventually promoted to General Nurse, Head of Unit and, finally, Deputy Manager. I consider Atfield to be one of the most welcoming and friendly homes. My role is to ensure that all residents receive the highest standard of care and always take into account personal wishes and requirements. I focus on delivering person-centred care to support residents in understanding the aging process, to maximize their independence, and create a safe, homely environment for everyone in the home. I offer support and guidance to all Nurses and Carers and work closely with external healthcare professionals.

I have been working at Atfield House since 2006. I am now Head Chef, my role is to produce a fresh, nutritious and well-balanced menu suited to the needs of each resident. I enjoy chatting with residents and their visitors and ensuring that they enjoy the food I have prepared.

I have been working at Atfield House since October 2022 as a Health Care Assistant. During this period of time, I have faced many challenges and hurdles in order to reach the position I am in today. I have been recently promoted to Head of Maintenance this wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible team that we have here. I enjoy my role as a Head of Maintenance it has boosted my confidence and inspires me to achieve more. My responsibilities are to ensure that all statutory requirements are up to date and that safety comes first for everyone at Atfield House.

I have been a member of the care team since 2020. In this time, I have learnt a lot. They are a great team to be part of and we all work very well together. Previously, I was a Chef and Manager of a Caribbean restaurant two very diverse roles for me. However one I enjoy a lot.
