My mum was a resident for about four years. I live in Sydney, Australia and during this time I visited her several times and my last visit was in September 2019.
I just wanted to drop a few lines to let you know that I can’t thank the staff enough for the care and attention that my mum received during
her stay at Barchester Brook House Care Home. I found the facilities were exceptional and the staff were all so cheerful, attentive and supportive.

cared for our mother during her stay at the Barchester Brook House Care Home.
We were happy that our mother spent her last few years in such a caring environment with such an impeccably high standard of care

My mother was a resident for 3 years at Barchester Brook House Care Home suffering from Alzheimer's. She recently passed away at the ripe old age of 98. The care she received from the staff was excellent and much better than we could have provided at home. All the staff of Brook House, the manager and
his team, nurses, care assistants and reception and admin staff are professionally trained to look after the residents and welcome relatives when visiting.
The end of life care provided to my mother by the nurses and care assistants was first class. During the last days of my mum's life, the relatives were given 24-hour access and support. Also, the after death service was very much supportive and sympathetic.


Once more my family will be eternally grateful to the staff and management at Brook House for looking after our late Mother.

My mum went into Brook House Wembly in May 2015. I had no concerns when Covid kicked in as I knew she was still receiving the utmost care in every way, This home deserves the highest recognition on all levels. Mum passed in May 2021.

Summertime was a good experience at Brook House. Outdoor garden visits were well organised. They celebrated most festivals with activity coordinators and staff, though we missed the celebrations as were restricted. The photos/videos sent by the coordinator were very much appreciated by our overseas
family too. Throughout the pandemic, we were given feedback as to what was going on at the care home. The indoor/cubicle visits with the speaker system is a brilliant idea. Recent facility to visit Mum indoors has been a great relief. We have been very happy with the care/management and all the staff. The Gwyneth and Hindu speaking staff makes a lot of difference in communication with residents, especially Mum relates to them and enjoys the activities with better understanding.

The team at Brook House are very conscientious and genuinely care for their residents which is very reassuring. They become good friends with visitors too. The standard of care in practical terms is excellent. I am always impressed by the quality of food and how it is tailored to the needs and likes
of individual residents. My only real concern is that communication is not their strong point, including it seems within the team.

From day one, I have received a good, friendly and kind reception and service from the management, especially the manager and the carer who took the extra trouble and care to make my stay comfortable, happy and made me feel at home. I am so pleased to recommend her for her kind, generous and loving
care, service with a smile and made my stay pleasant and comfortable in my difficult time. I have a language problem and am a strict vegetarian, but despite that I have been well looked after. Providing me with my choice of TV programme on Netflix made my day. God bless the personal carer and the manager and the staff and nurses. Thank you all.

Barchester Brook House have been exceptional looking after my father, all the staff are friendly and welcoming. The manager goes above and beyond to ensure all residents have been well looked after. The home is well run and have done especially well during the COVID-19 situation.

We have had heartbreaking circumstances within the last three years, losing both or parents and Brook House supported us throughout. They have completed treated

My mum has been a resident at Brook House for over 3 years now. Her needs are high so we did spend a lot of time in trying to choose the right place. I am glad we found Brook House. The last 2 months have been very tough for my Dad and I. We haven’t been able to see my mum during this pandemic. However,
the support and communication from Brook House has been outstanding. Particularly as far as my elderly Dad is concerned. They realise how sad he is and the outpouring of love and care for him has been amazing. They recognise that it is not always about just the residents. They are always asking after him and regularly send pictures of my mum as well as facilitate video calls. They also drop food around to his house. All this goes on quietly and without fuss. They don’t shout this from the rooftops as some publicity stunt. They just do it. My mum meanwhile is being brilliantly looked after. This care home, in my opinion, stands apart from all the others.

My Mother in Law has significantly improved since her arrival due to the care and attention provided by all the staff. Always willing to answer any questions. I am fully aware and kept up to date on my Mother in Law's progress. With the lockdown, the management was so helpful to use their personal mobile
to do video calls so we could see and communicate with my Mother in Law. This was very much appreciated. My Mother in Law was bed bound. Since she moved to Brook House she has become so active and cheerful.

From management to carers, nurses, cooks, cleaners and all staff I have only got good reports on care, food and friendliness within the home especially in the awful times we are all living through now. The activities are sometimes not so good but understandable due to the present situation. I applaud

My wife suffers from Alzheimers/Dementia. She has been in the nursing home where I visit her, (health permitting) every other day for about four hours. I am a pensioner and enjoy seeing my wife as I don't work any more. My wife, who is an ex-nurse, does not walk any more and needs the staff to feed
her. I have nothing but admiration for everyone involved. All the staff are pleasant, cheerful, and I could not fault them for anything!
They have a difficult job but they really are the best of the best. From the management to all involved in her care. Thank you a thousand times. The home looks really nice and bright. I would not change to a; £1,000 - a day home! Thank you.
