Welcome to Cedars Care Centre in Barnet. This large, detached, traditional home offers 24-hour specialist care to those over the age of 18. The home is fortunate to have a long-serving team of nursing and support staff that provide high-quality, person-centred care within a homely environment. While specialising in Dementia care, they offer long-term, palliative, respite and post-operative care.

The well-maintained home comprises 35 single bedrooms and 5 companion rooms for couples wishing to share, all with en-suite facilities. They encourage residents to furnish their new surroundings with familiar pieces of furniture and personal possessions to make them feel truly at home. They welcome and cater for live in small dogs and cats as well as welcoming visiting pets.
While bedrooms provide a tranquil area to rest and relax, the bright and attractive communal day rooms offer residents the opportunity to catch up with friends over a pot of tea, enjoy one of the guest entertainers or simply recline in front of their favourite films. The day rooms look out over beautifully landscaped gardens and French doors open onto the terrace allowing safe, ease of access.

At Cedars, the team encourage residents to take part in a range of engaging activities based on their lifestyle needs and preferences. Many of the activities take place within the home environment and include garden tea parties, barbecues and arts/crafts. Within the garden, there is a raised vegetable patch offering the opportunity to ‘grow your own’. They empower individuals to enjoy those everyday routines they cherish, whether that’s having a manicure, visiting the cinema or keeping up to date with their favourite football team. All are encouraged and available. Residents enjoy the wider community, with a thriving high street, independent shops and local park all within a short distance.

I visit a lot of care homes with friends and family in London. By far The Cedars is the best, the home itself is very clean, welcoming and friendly. The care staff are very professional and very good at supporting my mum with dementia. Always doing activities and stimulating my mum. She has really improved
her well-being.

Management and carers all very welcoming and engaged to take around the centre and answer all questions posed openly and fully. Room is nice and clean, furniture looks to be in good order. The day room is light and airy and accommodates comfortably all the resident. During my visit there was karaoke,
residents were encouraged to get involved and lots of happy energy could be felt. Nurse and daytime carers were all attentive, caring and keep close eyes on residents.

My husband has been a resident at The Cedars Care Centre for some three-and-a-half years. During this time he has been cared for extremely well. Any concerns I may have are always thoroughly addressed. Management, nurses and carers and activities personnel are kind, caring, thoughtful and considerate
not just for my husband but also for me, his wife. They find the time to listen, be compassionate, care for relatives and be very supportive. I would have no hesitation in recommending The Cedars Court Care Centre.

I would like to say I find the management and staff very helpful and considerate. They provide a good variety of entertainment all year round, often including family members! In the summer they arrange a good selection of events, the vast majority held in the garden. There is always a good selection

When she could still appreciate it, Mum liked to be wheeled into the garden to smell the flowers. We've just had the alternative experience of my aunt deciding to stay in her bungalow, and her last months would have been so much easier if she'd agreed to go into a place like The Cedars. Since our dad came in July, he has received excellent care. Everybody who comes into contact with him shows nothing but care and love.
