Welcome to Cedars Care Centre in Barnet. This large, detached, traditional home offers 24-hour specialist care to those over the age of 18. The home is fortunate to have a long-serving team of nursing and support staff that provide high-quality, person-centred care within a homely environment. While specialising in Dementia care, they offer long-term, palliative, respite and post-operative care.

The well-maintained home comprises 35 single bedrooms and 5 companion rooms for couples wishing to share, all with en-suite facilities. They encourage residents to furnish their new surroundings with familiar pieces of furniture and personal possessions to make them feel truly at home. They welcome and cater for live in small dogs and cats as well as welcoming visiting pets.
While bedrooms provide a tranquil area to rest and relax, the bright and attractive communal day rooms offer residents the opportunity to catch up with friends over a pot of tea, enjoy one of the guest entertainers or simply recline in front of their favourite films. The day rooms look out over beautifully landscaped gardens and French doors open onto the terrace allowing safe, ease of access.

At Cedars, the team encourage residents to take part in a range of engaging activities based on their lifestyle needs and preferences. Many of the activities take place within the home environment and include garden tea parties, barbecues and arts/crafts. Within the garden, there is a raised vegetable patch offering the opportunity to ‘grow your own’. They empower individuals to enjoy those everyday routines they cherish, whether that’s having a manicure, visiting the cinema or keeping up to date with their favourite football team. All are encouraged and available. Residents enjoy the wider community, with a thriving high street, independent shops and local park all within a short distance.

Since our dad came in July, he has received excellent care. Everybody who comes into contact with him shows nothing but care and love. The Cedars Care Centre have been so welcoming, not just the warmth and love they show my mum in incredibly difficult circumstances, but the respect and kindness they show to the many relatives that visit their loved one. It's got a real family feel, the staff work so hard, not just the quality food

My mum has been here six months and settled in very well. She has a very nice room. She enjoys the food. She enjoys the quiz that the activities coordinator does with them every day, as well as any other activities. The activities coordinator goes above and beyond with doing things for the residents.
All the carers and nurses are very friendly and keep me informed of Mum's progress.

Very impressive whenever I visit my friend. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. Watching the carers at work is a wonderful experience. They relate to residents with sensitivity and great care. Always attentive. The home has excellent management which filters down to all staff, setting such

The event organiser put on a charity fundraiser for Parkinson's' disease. My Mum who suffers from Parkinson's disease and who gets (in our opinion) the best care at Cedards - it was an absolute honour that the event coordinator who organised the event along with the carers and nurses made it a very

Wonderful staff, such a comfort during Mum's last few days.
The nurses were so supportive, they always gave us clear and useful advice and the care staff really lived up to their job title and were very patient with us (no matter what time of day we turned up!).

My father came to The Cedards Care Centre for respite care in December 2023 and became a resident from January 2024. During his time there he was well looked after during the last weeks of his life. All the staff are caring and friendly with smiley faces. We could not have asked for better care. The
staff also took care of Mum who visited Dad every day. Thank you to everyone!

From the moment I phoned the Cedars to see if they had a room, I immediately knew that they cared. Not only about my mother but also about me and managing my feelings at the difficult time. Mum spent four weeks in hospital before arriving which was terrible, within a week she looked a million times
better and happier. The staff are amazing and I feel so relieved they were able to take Mum, there is nowhere I would rather she was.
