Welcome to Cedars Care Centre in Barnet. This large, detached, traditional home offers 24-hour specialist care to those over the age of 18. The home is fortunate to have a long-serving team of nursing and support staff that provide high-quality, person-centred care within a homely environment. While specialising in Dementia care, they offer long-term, palliative, respite and post-operative care.

The well-maintained home comprises 35 single bedrooms and 5 companion rooms for couples wishing to share, all with en-suite facilities. They encourage residents to furnish their new surroundings with familiar pieces of furniture and personal possessions to make them feel truly at home. They welcome and cater for live in small dogs and cats as well as welcoming visiting pets.
While bedrooms provide a tranquil area to rest and relax, the bright and attractive communal day rooms offer residents the opportunity to catch up with friends over a pot of tea, enjoy one of the guest entertainers or simply recline in front of their favourite films. The day rooms look out over beautifully landscaped gardens and French doors open onto the terrace allowing safe, ease of access.

At Cedars, the team encourage residents to take part in a range of engaging activities based on their lifestyle needs and preferences. Many of the activities take place within the home environment and include garden tea parties, barbecues and arts/crafts. Within the garden, there is a raised vegetable patch offering the opportunity to ‘grow your own’. They empower individuals to enjoy those everyday routines they cherish, whether that’s having a manicure, visiting the cinema or keeping up to date with their favourite football team. All are encouraged and available. Residents enjoy the wider community, with a thriving high street, independent shops and local park all within a short distance.

My mum has been at The Cedars for a few years and now has severe dementia.
She recently needed to go to hospital for 24 hours and on her return looked round and snuggled down which meant such a lot to me.
With the excellent Manager, Assistant Manager and all the nurses, carers and domestic staff.
They are all patient, friendly and professional. She still has moments of recognition and all the staff treat her with complete dignity which is so important.
The Cedars is the nearest thing to being like a home. Their support is so much appreciated and The Cedars has become part of my family’s life too.

My aunt has been at Cedars for 4 years and the overall care has been very good. Over this period, standards have varied but our concerns addressed and are very much staff dependent.
The management have been very helpful and understanding and established a very food relationship with myself and my aunt.
Hopefully,
my aunt will continue to get the support she has benefitted from since entering the Cedars.

My time at The Cedars has been comfortable and stress-free. The medical care is excellent. The Cedars have arranged physiotherapy, dentist an optician visits for me. The carers are kind, attentive and generous with their time. My visitors are always made very welcome by the staff.

Having spent six years visiting my mum at Cedars I have to say how very lucky we have been. From the management, nurses, carers and domestic staff, Cedars excels in everything they do. The service and care is a very high standard. This is not just a nursing home, it's a family home with lots of love.
A real family community, all the staff are united and treat the resident with so much love and respect.

Every time I have been to visit my friend at this Care Home, I have been treated with the greatest respect and courtesy by the staff. Always with a smile and friendly. My friend has no complaints about the staff. The Home is always clean, warm and well maintained.

Staff are exceptionally caring which was a huge relief after a bad experience elsewhere. Nothing was too much trouble and their interaction with residents was very kind and caring. Upon walking in someone always asked if they could help. My husband was well cared for whilst he was here for respite.
My only gripe is there is no family room to be alone and parking is a bit tight.

There is a very friendly atmosphere with meeting rooms both up and downstairs with television facilities, a couple of residents were allowed to bring their beds with them. There are plenty of staff to look after the residents and also plenty of easy chairs.

I am very impressed with this care home. The carers are very caring and friendly. The manager is excellent and the high standards filter down from her to all the staff. My Father struggles with the food and needs it to be minced up (soft food). He does not find the food very tasty but, of course, this
could be down to his own taste buds!

From the time we made contact with the management at The Cedars Care Centre, we felt we were in the hands of professionals with a strong emphasis on compassion and quality of care. We were not disappointed.
Within 24 hours of our initial contact, the care home manager travelled to Cambridgeshire to
undertake an assessment of my sister who was terminally ill in Peterborough Hospital.
After a successful transfer, my sister spent six weeks at The Cedars.
She received excellent care from a team of dedicated staff who were always approachable.
As someone who works in residential care, I was relieved to find such a lovely nursing home for my sister, which I would not hesitate to recommend to friends and colleagues.

My husband was in The Cedars for a year and a half. He was looked after well by caring and friendly staff. The food was of a very high standard and the home was kept very clean. There is a lovely garden which can be used in spring and summer. I would strongly recommend The Cedars to anyone considering
