My brother has been at Charlotte House since May 2021. Staff have provided him with very good quality care. They work hard to ensure that he is referred to other professionals when needed and care plans are received.

We have found that our cousin has settled into her new life in Charlotte House. She feels content that she has made the right decision to come here. We have come to be with her every day and have never found her to have any worries. What is especially good is that all the staff know her name and greet her in passing. She feels she belongs here. We will go back to Australia without concerns about her well-being.

Thank you all.

We were looking for a friendly local home for our elderly uncle and feel very lucky to have found Charlotte House.
The team is dedicated and responsive, and we have peace of mind that he is being well looked after. It's a welcoming home with a laid-back atmosphere - just what we were looking for.

Huge thanks to all the staff for their efforts, they take pride in their work and are a pleasure to deal with.

The staff are very kind and caring towards the residents and keep families updated on their loved ones in the home. I have had and continue to have a great relationship with the staff of the home. I'm my opinion, an excellent home.

All the staff (management, nursing, carers, reception) have gone beyond their daily care duties to help, support and guide me through this difficult time of my sister's passing.

During the past 2 years of my sister's residency at Charlotte House, I have come to feel so welcomed and as part of a family.

My wife was a resident of Charlotte House between early July 23 and October 2023. I was very impressed with the compassionate care provided by this establishment. Everybody, from the two staff members on reception, the nurses and ancillary staff, were all very friendly and genuinely empathetic. Everybody said hello when I arrived and my wife was very well looked after. The care home was efficiently run. Thoroughly recommended.

We are very happy with our mum's care. She is well looked after and content. Nothing is too much trouble for the carers, who all know her well. They are communicative to us.

My brother wasn't managing on his own at home but didn't want to go into residential care. He came to stay at Charlotte House for two weeks and didn't want to come home. He looks so much more healthier, happier and mobile. Every time I spoke to him, he was happily talking about all the great things he had been doing and how lovely it was.

The regular staff has always made me feel at home, when my mom passed last week I was sad but felt lost as I would not be coming every day. I love how caring the crew are and so overworked. I felt safe leaving my mom with them, and although my mom is gone, I will still go to spend time with them.

My time spent at Charlotte House Care Home is very short at this time but a good experience of how a good care home should be and my experience is to where I am satisfied to spend my time left in here. I can not fault any member of staff. They do their looking after of the patients in a loving and caring way. No complaints from this patient.

The home provides an excellent standard of care for my sister who is bedbound and has a range of needs. Carers and nurses always seem patient and friendly. Their smiles seem to add to the patient's sense of well-being and personal value. Having a charismatic chef who provides a variety of dishes is a major asset. Visitors are very welcome and time is given when requested to discuss any issues.

My father has been at Charlotte House for approximately 5 months and the improvement in his mood and physical state is vast. He has thrived on the care and attention he receives and always tells me that he feels safe there. He enjoys socialising with staff and residents, and speaks of them fondly, which shows me that he feels relaxed in their company. Staff always consult me with regard to any updates regarding my father's care and needs through regular reviews. Since his arrival at Charlotte House, the support he has received has allowed us to have a much more relaxed relationship with him again as all his care needs are now dealt with by the wonderful team of staff that make this his home.

My brother had been in two other care homes previously, and he had become quite institutionalised. Charlotte House is a wonderful, friendly home where every care is given with love and kindness. It has a warm, homely atmosphere and a lovely community feel amongst residents and staff.

I couldn't ask for a nicer home for my brother; the staff are friendly, and nothing is ever too much for them.

Elisabeta Carmen SurligeanuJob Title:Home Manager
Charlotte House feels like a real family home. My team gets to know residents like members of their own family, and there’s a strongly supportive atmosphere here that you notice as soon as you visit.
One of our priorities is to see the world through residents’ eyes, so we can understand what’s important to them. When we know that, we support residents to enjoy meaningful and empowering experiences every day.
I have worked for Care UK since 2017; I’m a nurse by training, but I also have qualifications in social care and management. I joined the organisation because it is committed to high-quality care and to supporting colleagues to excel in their roles and careers.

The Care UK vision – Fulfilling lives – is something we strive to achieve every day at Charlotte House. For me it’s not about doing spectacular things, but about making every day meaningful. One of my passions is to make residents smile each day. That, and making their wishes come true, are among my proudest achievements.
