Elmstead House

The staff are friendly and accommodating. I am happy with the care he is receiving. The place is very clean and most of the ,staff are excellent. The manager is wonderful, and so is the reception staff and nurses. The activities coordinator brings dad activities to accommodate him every week.

My father Mac knew in this place and also carer, the carer call my dad as papa, and I'm happy and please they keep an eye on him as a father and staff is friendly.

I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a comfortable/safe/ well run with care home for your relative

Mum has settled in this environment very well, all her care needs are being met 25 hours. We, the family, appreciate the work and dedication of the staff.

My mother has been residing at Elmstead House for just under a year now. The staff are kind and compassionate, and my mum is always clean and presentable. Theres always lots of activities to take part in the lounge and my mum is very happy here. Lovely bunch of staff! Thank you.

My neighbour now lives here and seems to have settled in well. Everything is well organised and feels very calm for the residents. The carers clearly care about their work and I found it reassuring to see that vulnerable elderly people can receive such good care.

I am pleased with the way the staff at the night attends to my aunty at Elmstead House. They are really attentive, there is an element of fear when my aunty went to Elmstead but, the daily interaction gave me reassurance.

Knowing she is safe, happy, and well cared for gives our family true peace of mind. Thank you to the whole team for everything you do.

I want to express my deepest thanks to the wonderful team at Elmstead Care Home, especially Mona the nurse and Megha the carer, who look after my mother with such kindness, patience, and professionalism. Their compassion shines through in everything they do, and it gives myself real peace of mind knowing she is in such capable hands. Monas calm, reassuring approach and attention to detail makes such a difference every day, Megha brings warmth, positivity and genuine care that my mother responds to so well. Mom was here for over a year and a half, and she was always smiling. I got loads of photos the Activity Coordinator sent me over the years.

This care home is absolutely fantastic. My father in law staying almost a year. The team is super kind and professional. They let residents feel loved and cared. I am feeling happy with this choice.

Wonderful improvement. Lovely to see he has a TV in his room. He now listens to his radio before he was agitated, and not engaging but now there is much improvement, and a pleasure to see my family member happy,

My interactions with the staff at Elmstead House ranging from the Manager, and Assistant Manager to the day-to-day carers, have only been positive. The staff clearly take pride in their work and look to ensure residents are well looked after.

I felt relieved to know my dad needs were being looked after. Needs like ensuring end of life plan is in place and adhered to, so that my father is not in pain or uncomfortable. Also, when his hearing aid went missing, the home helped him get new one from the NHS. Since moving to the home, he has definitely become more sociable spending time in the main lounge.

The activity coordinator is always trying to get mum to participate in any activity she arranges which is much appreciated.

Any concerns are always dealt with professionally with the nursing and management team.

My friend has been at Elmstead House since June 24 and her care needs have always been met at a basic level, but the approach to her care needs has not been proactive. Thankfully after a three-month wait my friend is able to get out of bed as her adapted chair referral has finally been fulfilled, she is taken to the lounge every day to join other residents and be part of the many activities organised by the home, which has been a massive boost to my friends mood, wellbeing and quality of life. The Manager is very approachable and friendly, as are all of the staff, they have also been very good at contacting me to advise of any health changes. I have rated the overall experience as satisfactory for now, but the day-to-day is improving for my friend now when the shower chair and wheelchair referrals are fulfilled and she is able to have a proper shower and hair wash and be taken outside for some fresh air, my overall rating of Elmstead House will improve accordingly.
