The Frithwood Nursing Home

A pleasant environment with management, nursing staff and care assistance doing their best for the residents. Any special needs are catered for. Any problems are promptly attended to and resolved. Daily activities for the residents could be improved, but one has to take into consideration the physical abilities of the residents. Increased interaction between staff and residents is essential.

My mother-in-law had the dedication of a fantastic staff here at Frithwood. Every care was administered days and nights by excellent staff in all areas. She passed peacefully and the kindness shown to my wife (her daughter) and myself was overwhelming. In her time of need, the care home came into its own.

It was a comfort to know that she was looked after with such kindness.

Mum came to Frithwood after developing pneumonia living at home. I came with her from the hospital to Frithwood and settled her in. The staff are absolutely wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The food is wonderful and Mum has been regaining her appetite and having seconds and thirds! Her room is lovely, and the lounge room where she is brought to sit with other residents is bright, clean and cheerful. The staff constantly engage Mum and other residents by having a chat or bringing in cups of tea. I could visit whenever I liked and stay as long as I wished and was constantly given updates on Mum's wellbeing. I live in Australia and returned last week, knowing that my Mum is in good hands, and is being well cared for, well fed and looked after. Thank you.

The home managers and head nurse are knowledgeable and efficient. They have taken the time and interest in getting to know the specific needs of my son and his past history. This is beneficial all round and a comfort to me at a difficult time.

My mother-in-law seems to have settled in well and appears to be more relaxed and less anxious.

Have found this home my mother is in at present is fantastic in every way. The nurses are so caring, the food is very good too as I feed Mum lunch sometimes. The house always has flowers everywhere, so clean, just like a 5-star hotel. Mum now is doing very well here she is 94 years old now. I have peace of mind now she is at Frithwood. No complaints at all.

Very happy with the care my mother-in-law is receiving in her new home which has a lovely calming atmosphere.

I will recommend The Frithwood Nursing Home to anyone my sister-in-law is a resident in that home and she is well cared for. My wife and I are quite proud of the way the nursing home is very clean and the staff care for the residents very well.

My mother in law resided at The Frithwood Nursing Home for 18 months before she passed away. She received excellent care from the staff and they gave us peace of mind knowing she was cared for in a safe place.

My Mother-in-law settled in quickly. Unlike her previous care home, she is dressed and out of bed every day for at least 5 hours. This has made a significant difference to her quality of life. She appears more comfortable and alert.

My Wife has shown a marked improvement since moving to Frithwood compared to the previous (more costly) place. It is good to see her sitting up amongst other residents.

Mum moved to Frithwood last month from another care home. She now spends much more time out of bed in a bright, friendly environment and is happier and more responsive as a result.

Mum spends lots of time out of bed so is not isolated in her room. This has perked her up considerably.

Frithwood Nursing Home is very clean and my sister is well looked after, she is always clean. The nursing home is tidy and the staff are very nice. The manager is lovely she has meetings and explains what is going on in the nursing home. The room is clean and her bed is very clean. The manager is the best she is looking after the place is very nice.

This is an excellent nursing home. Excellent nursing care and warm, friendly staff. Everyone is made to feel welcome and at any time of the day. The manager runs a very efficient team and nothing is too much trouble. The building is most attractive with all rooms nicely decorated. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and there is no smell. It would seem that all visitors feel the same, living locally I would soon hear bad news. I would recommend this home.

My sister and I would visit on an almost daily basis and were always made to feel welcome. It was a difficult time but Mum always spoke very highly of the staff and the care she received.

I have always found the home to be friendly, very clean and well managed. The staff are very good and carry out their duties with a very cheerful disposition under sometimes very challenging circumstances. It gives me as a relative who has cared for my mum tremendous peace of mind to know she is fortunate enough to be looked after by The Frithwood Nursing Home.

All the staff and the carers are very understanding and caring even though they are sometimes short staffed. Very good manager.
