Whenever I was at the care home staff are always happy, and helpful to me and all the residents in the home. Activities going on all day and every day. Birthday parties for the residents with a cake for whoever birthday it was. The home was always clean and tidy. The food menu always looked good with
changes every day. The staff work very hard at the home but they are always happy and good around the residents. The staff are fantastic.

The staff at Hamilton are attentive to my father's needs and have developed a good rapport with him; he in turn seems very comfortable with them. They keep me well informed about any significant issues with his care and are always willing to discuss such matters in person or by phone. I find the whole
team to be friendly, courteous and genuinely caring. They make every effort to give the home a warm, family like feel, which other visitors to my father have also commented on. Overall, I am very confident that he is being looked after properly, which gives me reassurance as I live some distance away.

Mum has been at the Hamilton for almost 10 months and I really can't fault the care she has received since she moved in. The manager and staff have always gone above and beyond to meet all her needs and respond to any requests/concerns we have had. They provide a wide range of activities throughout
the week which Mum thoroughly enjoys, and the quality and variety of food never ceases to amaze me. They go out of their way to make every resident feel special every day and also ensure they all have a party on their birthday. They even held a summer garden party last weekend too which close family were able to join in and enjoy the wonderful food and entertainment. I know that meant so much to mum. Mum is always very calm when we visit her and the genuine interaction between her and the staff is wonderful and very reassuring. I have nothing but praise for all the staff at the Hamilton and wish to thank them all for the wonderful care they continue to give to our dear mum.

My uncle is very happy and relaxed here at Hamilton. He's not been here very long yet, but already, he is less anxious and told me, "I like it here (Hamiltion nursing home) it's the best home I've ever had!" That says it all already, except that I would like to thank all the staff for their kindness,

What a wonderful nursing home, my mum has been in there a few years now. All the staff take good care of her, especially the activities coordinator, always making sure my mum has something to occupy her like playing dominoes, bingo, colouring and lately she has started to knit again. Mum looks forward
to seeing the live entertainment each week and having her hair done by the hairdresser that visits the home.
I can recommend this nursing home for all the personal touches they give every resident like having a birthday party for each and every one of them.

After caring for my nan for the last few years finding a care home that I trusted to meet all her needs was far from easy. However I can now comfortably say I feel very well assured knowing she is in the care of all the lovely staff at Hamilton. She initially stayed for respite and during that time
we definitely had our worries about certain aspects of the care, however after raising our concerns the team took action and responded accordingly. Since her being in permanently, we have been won over by the kindness of all the staff who are always willing to help. Through the activities the home shows great initiative, creativity and stimulation for the residents, which is one of the things that stood out to us at first and we can definitely say that we continue to be impressed. With my nan only being in there a few months and with the pandemic putting restrictions on things, it is hard to give a holistic review but from what we have seen we are very happy and thankful to all the staff.

Unfortunately, my mother was admitted right at the start of Covid (March 20), so I have not had the opportunity of having a "proper" view of all the facilities. However, what I will say is that all the staff are extremely caring and that the environment is a happy one. The staff are accommodating, and
nothing seems to be too much trouble for them.

My mother was transferred from Hospital to Hamilton Nursing Home during the pandemic in 2020. She had suffered from dementia for many years and after a fall that made her wheelchair-bound plus a diagnosis of terminal cancer we had to come to terms with no longer being able to care for her ourselves.

The whole team have been dedicated to not only providing the care Mum needs but also to support us as a family during this difficult time. They are always on hand to provide information and reassurance and are committed to making every individual's experience the best it can be. They have shown Mum great affection and have treated her with love, kindness and respect.
The social activities programme is excellent and the App allows us to be in spontaneous communication with Mum and the staff throughout the day. We feel completely confident that Mum is receiving the best possible care and thank you all so much for looking after her so well.

I have been visiting my husband in Hamilton for four years, and he has recently needed a lot more care. The staff have always gone out of their way to make me feel welcome and looked after. I know times have been really hard for all of us lately, especially the staff. The care given to my husband and
the rest of the residents has been second to none. They have been working really hard to make sure our loved ones are trying to carry on normally and helping us to see our family each week. The weekly emails to keep us up to date are invaluable. Having activities every day also helps the residents. My thanks to everyone at Hamilton.

My mother is unusual. Not a general mixer but if comfortable and with the right level of formality which drops when she allows it, she is great fun. She is very specific about what she will and won't eat, how she wears her hair and how she is addressed.
All my life I dreaded the moment she would be
beyond my ability to care for but the day I stepped across the threshold and met the first member of staff I was stunned - it wasn't what I expected. He was charming, polite, genuine... and that has been the case across the company.
I've asked for all sorts of social adaptations for my mother, even down to asking for specific food which the manager has even gone out and bought herself.
Throughout the Covid-19 crisis, I was worried. Mum had never been without family for three months. But they kept her in contact with me via Skype, I organised deliveries of magazines which arrived regularly and regularly they emailed to tell me. The extra effort the team put in is what makes Hamiltons very special.

My wife has been a resident in the home for 20 months now. I think the overall care has deteriorated in the time but I think this is due to the difficulty of recruiting and retaining care staff. There are very few of the original staff remaining and care from the agency staff varies enormously. I'm

I have worked at Hamilton since 2003. I joined after starting a family and looking for a worthwhile return to work environment. Hamilton gave me that and more. It soon became apparent that I wanted to work in this environment building strong relationships with residents and their families. I count myself lucky to have been given the opportunity and proud to now be the Registered Manager. I love working with my staff who are a creative and caring group of people who share my passion for providing the highest quality of person-centred care to our residents.


Hamilton is a fun place to be, creating music, laughter and meaningful moments with our residents makes each day so rewarding.


I am very proud of working in such a successful home with Good and Outstanding CQC reports and strong links with the local community.


I live with my 2 daughters who also keep me busy along with my β€˜son’ Bailey – my adorable Chocolate Labrador!

Hi, I am Marcus, I joined Hamilton Nursing Home in November 2022. I have 14 years of experience working in Construction and Maintenance roles.


I am responsible for all health & safety, fire checks and all general building repairs. I enjoy the variety of my role and the challenges it presents.


On a personal note, I am married and have a French bulldog called Puck. I also enjoy fishing and playing ice hockey.
