Hillside Nursing Home offers residential care for the elderly and Nursing Care, including higher needs and dementia care, together with a respite service for other carers in the Romford area. While the fabric of the building and grounds is not great, the staff and the care they give is terrific. All staff have shown that they genuinely care for the residents, and I'm very happy in the knowledge that Mum is being well cared for.

The whole family are extremely happy with the care my dad has received. He was only in here a few weeks before "lockdown" (arrived 24/02/20 - lockdown 13/3/20). We have all been made so welcome in the times we came before lockdown, and they have been very helpful when we have rung to speak to him, and

Mum became a resident in February 2020 and lockdown began 5-6 weeks later, and so we can only review that amount of time. Since that time, we have received telephone updates when staff are available to do so. We are told that Mum is well and settled and would hope we would be contacted of any major
issues. Previous to lockdown, staff seemed friendly and caring, and Mum settled in well.

My dad has been at Hillside Nursing Home for a number of years now, during which time he has been well cared for. He enjoys his meals and eats well. His room is kept clean and tidy, along with the remainder of the building. Hillside has a generally pleasant atmosphere about it. The staff, including
laundry, catering, carers, nurses, entertainment and management team, work hard and care about the residents. It has obviously been very difficult of late, due to covid, Hillside has coped admirably with these testing times. They've allowed my daughter and me, to see Dad from the outside every week and have put themselves out to do so. I would happily recommend Hillside for anybody in need of care.

Mum became a resident in February this year and then lockdown commenced during March, therefore mostly telephone contact during the pandemic. I have received regular updates on Mum's care, although it is difficult sometimes at weekends for staff as they are unavailable and only answering machine available.
We are told Mum is settled, well, and I know I am able to contact the office if there are any concerns. I have a good rapport with staff and carers and thank them for their care in looking after our Mum.

My mum who has dementia was moved to Hillside Nursing Home in August 2019. I was very impressed by the way staff interact with residents and the caring, warming and consideration they show towards them. I have also been kept up to date of any issues relevant to mum, so I would defiantly recommend Hillside
Nursing Home to anyone looking for a care home for a loved one and for the peace of mind knowing they will be well looked after and cared for.

Hillside Nursing Home is very welcoming and friendly. The staff are all very pleasant and always have a nice smile.
All the residents have a cake on their birthdays, which is wonderful and the entertainment is superb. Management joins in, and it gives a lovely atmosphere.
The food is good, and a

All staff are very pleasant to visitors and always have a cheery smile when I visit. A great deal of patience is shown when needed and everyone is treated with dignity and respect.
A welcome cup of tea is always offered. I felt my husband is safe and well cared for, which, of course, is why I chose
Hillside Nursing Home. I am always made to feel welcome and never made to feel "in the way".
