Amazing, marvellous, wonderful! My father was in a local hospice and could not return home after being discharged from there as we could not cope with his needs at home. Naturally, we, as a family, were concerned whether this care home would be good enough but after a couple of days, our minds were
at peace that it was the right place for Dad. Everyone was friendly...admin, laundry, nursing, carers and even the cooks whom we met with at some point! They all treated Dad with dignity and respect. He was kept comfortable and out of pain. When his appetite waned and he wanted egg and chips instead of the usual lunch, it was not a problem. A call was made to the kitchen and 20 minutes later a plate of very hot and well-cooked egg and chips arrived. The food was all good and plentiful. A timetable in his room of all the daily activities. Clean, good-sized room. If you are looking for a care home for a loved one, this is well worth a visit. Well done and thank you to everyone who looked after Dad.

My relative was neglected here. She was bedbound, unable to move or speak. The staff could not cope with her needs. The building itself is not fit for purpose. The windows hardly open, and there is no aircon. My relative's room was tiny, ill-equipped and excessively hot. She was discharged here without
my consent. Within minutes of arriving, it was clear the home could not cater for her needs. It was also clear the lack of staff could not cope with the sheer number of people needing care there.
The nurses/care assistants severely lack appropriate training and leave people buzzing for help, they are overwhelmed. I witnessed people crying out for someone to help them, as they were about to wet themselves or worse. At this time all the staff had vacated the floor for a team meeting in the manager's office.
I recommend anyone to inspect this home multiple times at different times of day/night to be sure you want to leave someone you care about here. If I could leave zero stars I would.

The only home we researched had a lovely garden with plenty of real flowers and plants! I felt at home as soon as I entered. Pleasant, nicely decorated, clean surroundings with friendly, caring staff. My friend celebrated his 82nd birthday last week and the home made it a really special occasion for
him. My only problem is that he cannot use a mobile phone, and it is (understandably) often difficult to get busy staff to answer the telephone and take their mobile to him. Apart from that we are so glad he moved homes!

I was very pleased with the attention and kindness shown to my mother and pleased with our choice of care home after visiting a number of them and having previous experience via other relatives.

Overall, my experience with the home is good. I'm happy with the care my mum is receiving but with some carers their duties, I have found, to be quite poor. I feel they require more training and could be more considerate to the required needs as even when leaving clear instructions they are not being
followed through.

My mother was only in their care for a few days having been referred on a fast-track transfer from hospital for end of life care. I cannot speak highly enough of the care and kindness she received from all the staff on Floor 1. They were cheerful, kind and nothing was too much trouble. In my mother’s
final hours they were respectful and treated us all with dignity and compassion. They did everything they could to make her final days as comfortable and safe as possible. Thank you to all the care team and the administrative and management staff for your highly professional care.

I have no complaints about this home. The staff go above and beyond, very friendly. I'm always greeted with a smile. It's always clean, warm and very welcoming, my mother is very happy here. Would highly recommend. Thank you for your everyday care for my mother, much appreciated.

Mum was finding it too hard to manage at home, so the decision was made to have a two-week respite break to see if a care home would suit her. After just three days, she knew she wanted to stay. A lovely, warm room, three good meals a day, 24-hour care, daily activities and company. She could not be
happier. The staff are wonderful, from the head nurse (the guardian angel) to the office management; all are so pleasant and helpful. Mum is happy, and I am happy she is in the right place.

All residents are treated with the utmost respect, care and dignity. It's like one big happy home from home, just better as the 'fairies' magically clean, cook and care for everybody's individual needs. Activities are fantastic and engage everyone.

My sister came for a six-week trial as she was very against giving up her house. At the end of the six weeks, she decided she didn't want to go back home. She looks a lot better, she has regular showers, clean clothes every day and her hair washed and blow-dried every week. She is having three good
meals a day as well as lots of tea and snacks. She is treated with respect and has her dignity back. I would recommend this care home to anyone. Thank you.

We chose this care home because of the light spacious, airy rooms and the friendliness of the staff, not only to us but towards each other. I know we were right as whenever any of the staff come in my mom's face lights up with a big smile and they have a great banter between them.

As a Registered Nurse with over 30
years’ experience, Pervine has gained a
wealth of experience in providing care
and nursing support to elderly people, to
enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable
leader who is passionate about delivering
the highest standards in care and quality
of life for Residents.


Pervine closely shares HC-One’s vision
in aiming to provide the kindest care for
each and every Resident. She extends this
caring approach to her Colleagues and
works closely with them to deliver care
and support to Residents in a way that
they gain the most benefit, in a warm and
welcoming home.


She also works hard to arrange events and
activities with nearby schools and clubs
and is always keen to include the local
community in life at The Hornchurch.
When asked what she enjoys most about
her role, Pervine remarked: “It means
the world to me to know I’m making a
difference in the lives of our Residents. It’s
always wonderful to see them with smiles
on their faces.”


Outside of work, Pervine enjoys spending
quality time with her family and friends.
She also remarks herself as an avid
shopper, as she enjoys shopping at her
local high street stores.
