Thank you for the review, this feedback is allowing us to constantly analyse and improve our services. We wanted to respond to the important points you raise.
We were happy to move the Resident to a new room because the Resident’s family were unhappy with the carpet and wanted a room with patio doors.
There were never any traces of mice in the room, and we regularly monitored this, but we installed the extra bait box as a precautionary measure.
We were in regular communication with the Resident’s family, as we are with any Resident in our care, and had informed the Resident’s Next of Kin as soon as the result was picked up by staff at the home.
Though we informed the Resident’s Next of Kin that it would take time to prepare for the move, the transport arrived an hour after the result was passed on and before we had had time to make any preparations. We were only informed of the details of the new home in an urgent email on the day of the move, hence the unfortunate delay at the new care home.
It was a pleasure to care for this Resident and we were sad to see her go.
