My sister resided at Barchester Hugh Myddelton House since 2004 to 2017.
The staff there have looked after her very well.
We were all like a family.

The current manager is excellent, as are his staff, from nurses, carers, house-keeping, domestic, excellent chefs and warm, friendly and helpful reception and office staff.

I always feel welcome at Hugh Myddleton House Care Centre. The staff are always friendly and courteous and they seem to genuinely care about my father's well-being. He is treated with respect and dignity. My dad also feels he is well cared for.

The nursing and care staff are professional in every way - kind, considerate and informative. My mother conveys positive feedback frequently. Although confined to her room mostly, we find that we are always made to feel welcome at all events.

The overall standards of cleanliness and consistency of staff are a constant comfort to us.

This purpose built modern care home is well furnished, bright and clean. The staff are very caring. The food is good. There are activities for those who are able to participate. Like most care homes/hospitals, they don't always have enough staff, so the nurses and carers are very busy.

The home cared for my father from start on 7th July 2015 until has passing on Friday 12th August 2016. He was 102 and 10 months! He was in a poorly state on his arrival but if it wasn't for the excellent care and nursing he wouldn't have survived so long. All the staff loved my father, he was cared for, nursed and clean! Such a worry when you are leaving a loved one with strangers but we had total peace of mind with leaving him at Barchester Hugh Myddelton House. We can't thank them enough.

Carers and staff are dedicated to their job, unfortunately, the care home are unable to retain carers on a long term basis and continuity trying to employ staff to those who leave.

Many carers leave after gaining experience and certain qualifications and apply to join employment in "national health service" for "better terms" of employment.

The home is always clean and tidy. Mum receives excellent care from all the staff. She always looks clean, well cared for and the clothes are always colour coordinated. The laundry service is excellent. There are always plenty of staff so I know she is always safe and always treated with dignity which is so very important.

Dad had reached the great age of 101 when after having spent a month in hospital, it was decided he needed 24-hour care, and what wonderful care he got.

The staff at Barchester Hugh Myddelton House Care Centre are the most kind, caring and professional bunch of people. From the nursing staff to the cleaners. Ou minds were at peace knowing he was in the care of such dedicated staff. Dad has just passed away the dedication shown to him and us went above and beyond the call of duty.
