My mother, who is in the later stage of dementia, has been at James Terry Court for 6 years and during that time has been looked after with great kindness and understanding and despite Mum's mental decline they still manage to keep her happy.

My mother was apprehensive about moving into a care home so she had a few weeks "respite care" at James Terry Court. It was unlike her expectations and enjoyed it so much she asked to stay (fortunately there was a vacancy). She has settled in and enjoys the activities and company when she wants it.
She is so much more confident. The staff are always thoughtful and well trained, she feels safe and secure. The facilities are very clean and modern. She has a large room with ensuite facilities. Everything possible is done to ensure this feels like "home". She is far more active and responsive than she was when receiving care in her own home.

Our ward has been a resident since February 2016 having removed her from another care home. She is extremely happy at James Terry Court and superbly looked after.
We are frequently told that she has nothing to complain about. Good food, very comfortable surroundings, wonderful caring staff and spotlessly
clean. Visitors are made very welcome at any time of the day or evening and I have no hesitation whatsoever in giving James Terry Court the highest recommendation.

My aunt is very happy in James Terry Court.
Has a lovely room and is well cared for.
The only criticism I have is that there is not enough stimulus for patients with Alzheimers. Can the arts and crafts be re-instated?

I have visited James Terry Court several times to support charity fundraising events. I was a rest and recuperation resident for ten days in January 2016. The staff continue to act in a professional, supportive, welcoming and friendly way. The home itself is kept to the highest standards of cleanliness.
It is an excellent care home which I would highly recommend to my family and friends.

I am still in contact with the James Terry Court even though my dad has passed away.
One of my husband's lodge members has applied on behalf of his father in law for information through my recommendation, he is in hospital at the moment with dementia, they visited James Terry Court and are thrilled
with the information given, this helped them to control the situation, this is still on going.
We always try to attend their fund raising functions we are welcomed by the staff (the lady second in charge, the team leader and others.) I still keep in touch with a couple of residents when dad was alive.
My husband met the lady who is now in charge since the last one left. An admirable replacement.

The care support worker has completed his duties with excellent help to all residents on matters that are of careful appraisal.
In particular, the havoc caused by our lift breaking down 5 times in the last month. On these days I can say that I just did not know how he was able to manage. He willingly
helped all the residents to their places of rest- carrying the wheelchairs, frames with the person sitting in situe at the same time.


During the times when normality is in place, he regularly helps not only as a server but dealt with problems with PC's, mobiles, radios and repaired equipment and maintained service to clear comfort to all and sundry.

So initially impressed with the facilities and ambience and then was blown away by the superb, caring, calm support of the staff. Mum treated with dignity and concern also for out family and the difficult transition we've had to make. After a very difficult few weeks, I am at last feeling confident
that mum is in good hands and am beginning to relax and have hope for a positive future.

James Terry Court is well run with excellent activities these are organised by the activity coordinator who does an excellent job especially as she is the only one dedicated to activities.

I have been involved with James Terry Court since 2005 with first my mother and now my mother-in-law as residents and so I have seen the enormous change between "old and new" at James Terry Court. The structure and facilities of the "old" were good but the "new" is just light years better! The one commonality
is the staff many of who have made the same journey as me. They are always kind, courteous and above all professional with their dealings with both residents and relatives alike. 1st rate keep up the great work.

My wife has diagnosed with Alzheimer's 13 years ago and until her condition seriously deteriorated 3 months ago, I have been her 24/7 carer.
A mini-stroke and my stress caused me to relinquish her into care homes and whilst the first homes were satisfactory, James Terry Court is sensationally good.
The care; the staff; the food; the amenities and attention is perfect. All my family are so so relieved. It's wonderful.

James Terry Court is a place of peace and tranquility for both residents and visitors with staff available to help if required. The social provision for the residents is of the highest quality, with trips to see the pantomime at Christmas.
The home is supported by the Friends of James Terry court,
