St Jude's Nursing Home

Very clean home, staff always welcoming. looked after my mother until she died. The admin was appalling messing up the weekly phone calls with my sister.

Thank you to all the staff for thier kindness and compassion shown to mum and also my father when he visited. Thank you once again for caring for mum.

I am always made to feel welcome when I visit and am given privacy with my family member, and tea and biscuits are provided. The home is spotlessly clean, and all staff are friendly and helpful. It feels like a normal house rather than a hospital environment and is nicely furnished and decorated. My family member is well cared for and always looks well groomed and is wearing clean clothes. My family and I are so pleased to have found St Jude's. Their care is excellent, and the manager runs it very well.

Everything I have seen so far, has been brilliant.

Mum appeared to be happy at St Judes. She was treated with respect and staff were dedicated, ensuring the best possible care and attention to each resident. Her room was lovely, clean with modern fixtures and fittings. Staff welcomed visitors and any questions answered, keeping family updated on health and welfare issues.

I have been so impressed by the staff of St Judes Nursing Home. Every member of staff is very kind, compassionate and professional. The home itself is spotlessly clean and the food is of great quality.

Our family member was at St Jude's Nursing Home for the last six months of her life. I can state that she received excellent care, delivered with love and compassion. Although we live 200 miles away, the nursing team & manager kept us fully informed & communication was superb. Many thanks to you all.

My mum was very happy at St Judes. We looked at a few care homes and found that St Judes was so friendly and warm and comfortable. The staff were fabulous. My mother has great care and as a family we were all made so welcome.

My wife is well looked after within the confines of the nursing home. She is always clean and well fed. The staff make great efforts to ensure entertainment is appropriate with someone with my wife's condition (dementia), and they try to keep her interested in activities. Visitors and relatives ae kept up to date with my wife's health and well-being.

This is the best nursing home I have ever been in.

St Jude's is a very happy and caring home. The staff greet you with a smile as soon as you enter the premises and the staff are very caring, if there are any problems that need addressing they will try to sort the problem or they will find somebody who can sort the problem out. Great staff from the top, down to all the other jobs that need doing.

We as a family we are very happy with care and kindness shown to our mum.

Quality of care is very good. clinical nurses have a good knowledge and scare staff is friendly and approachable.Doctor visits once a week but sometimes their visits seem a bit rushed. There is a good range of activities. Food is very good with a wide variety of both savories and puddings. The nursing home has been decorated nicely giving it a very homely feels. Extended services in hairdressing, podiatry and dentist.

The support and care provided were to a high standard. The staff were attentive and compassionate. Spending long periods of time at the home you were always made welcome as a family. We felt that St Jude's provided all the support, and more we needed particularly in the final couple of weeks. Thank you St Jude's.

Its too early to give a long review, but from what I see is a well staffed, clean and friendly place.

St Jude's is an extremely very good place to be. Every staff and management are very helpful and I would recommend to anybody that St Jude's is the place to be. Keep up the good work St Jude's.

My experience with St Jude's is good. My brother is looked after very well, I frequently ask him if he's okay and if people working there are kind to him, if he's listened to and if he likes the food and his answers are always yes. I am going by what he tells me. My experience with the care home is very good, visits are allowed at anytime, visitors are always made to feel welcome, refreshments are offered and the staff are always friendly and kind. I try and visit my brother once a week and he looks relaxed and settled, all washed and tidy. If I have any issues or questions the manager and staff are always available to help.

We were kept up to date with any variations in his condition.

My mother was a resident at St Jude's for only a very short time, but during her stay, I found everyone very helpful, kind and supportive. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend St Jude's to family or friends.

Dad went to St Judes as he was no longer able to care for himself. Dad was fiercely independent so being cared for was extremely difficult for him. St Judes settled dad and he began to see St Judes as his home. Dad loves the snug and happiest looking at the well kept gardens. When visiting dad we were greeted with a smile and offer of a cup of tea. We did at times have concerns which we addressed with the staff who listened and together we resolved. There were a few communication problems, English was not the first language for some of the staff but with patience on both sides we managed to sort out the differences. We would have liked dad to have activities which were more suited to him eg speakers, topics politics, gardening, world events, hobbies. However, dad and I watched a lovely entertainer who visited St Judes and she was great fun. We recognise dad was a complex resident and required towards the end intensive care St Judes were respectful and kind. To note: St Judes manager and deputy were professional and efficient at all times.
