St Judes is situated between Belmont Village and Sutton town centre and offers fully furnished and spacious accommodation over three floors. A passionate team of well-trained staff provide nursing and end-of-life care and also excel in providing person-centred care and palliative care to those who living with dementia or those who may be older with health conditions.

Staff provide an environment for residents to be cared for in an understanding, professional and dignified way. As well as offering permanent accommodation, St Judes can also provide respite and convalescence care for those requiring temporary assistance.

Professionals aim to provide the highest standards of care and services at the home which is a member of the Registered Nursing Home Association (RNHA).

Accommodation for residents comprises of single and shared rooms, most of which are en-suite, while there are nurse call systems and televisions in each room as well as a private telephone which is available upon request.

The home has several lounges, a cinema room and a dining room which overlooks the patio with private garden. Residents can enjoy a full activities programme, organised by the activities co-ordinator, including outings and local entertainers.

Residents also have access to regular visits from dentists, opticians, physiotherapists, chiropodists, occupational therapists, hairdressers, religious ministers and local doctors.

An on-site cook liaises with residents and care staff on a daily basis to ensure they can enjoy choices of well-balanced, nutritious, appetising meals that meet their dietary requirements.

St Jude's is a very happy and caring home. The staff greet you with a smile as soon as you enter the premises and the staff are very caring, if there are any problems that need addressing they will try to sort the problem or they will find somebody who can sort the problem out. Great staff from the

Quality of care is very good. clinical nurses have a good knowledge and scare staff is friendly and approachable.Doctor visits once a week but sometimes their visits seem a bit rushed. There is a good range of activities. Food is very good with a wide variety of both savories and puddings. The nursing

My experience with St Jude's is good. My brother is looked after very well, I frequently ask him if he's okay and if people working there are kind to him, if he's listened to and if he likes the food and his answers are always yes. I am going by what he tells me. My experience with the care home is
very good, visits are allowed at anytime, visitors are always made to feel welcome, refreshments are offered and the staff are always friendly and kind. I try and visit my brother once a week and he looks relaxed and settled, all washed and tidy. If I have any issues or questions the manager and staff are always available to help.

We looked at quite few Nursing Homes but decided the best one for our needs was St.Judes. The management were very good although we did find some language problems with the nursing staff.
The occupants were entertained most days with games and quizzes.
My brother was in St.Judes for 6 years suffering
from Vascular Dementia and he was able to join in with the daily activities.
We always felt welcome when we visited him and usually had a cup of tea and a piece of cake.
We were kept up to date with any variations in his condition.

My mother was a resident at St Jude's for only a very short time, but during her stay, I found everyone very helpful, kind and supportive. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend St Jude's to family or friends.

Dad went to St Judes as he was no longer able to care for himself. Dad was fiercely independent so being cared for was extremely difficult for him. St Judes settled dad and he began to see St Judes as his home. Dad loves the snug and happiest looking at the well kept gardens. When visiting dad we were
greeted with a smile and offer of a cup of tea. We did at times have concerns which we addressed with the staff who listened and together we resolved. There were a few communication problems, English was not the first language for some of the staff but with patience on both sides we managed to sort out the differences. We would have liked dad to have activities which were more suited to him eg speakers, topics politics, gardening, world events, hobbies. However, dad and I watched a lovely entertainer who visited St Judes and she was great fun. We recognise dad was a complex resident and required towards the end intensive care St Judes were respectful and kind. To note: St Judes manager and deputy were professional and efficient at all times.

I received a request to send a review 1 month after the death of my dear brother, who lived in St Jude's Nursing Home in Sutton for 18months before his death in July.
I visited twice a week, during this time, the carers and nurses were very kind, and he appeared to be well looked after. However,
I am saddened to say that apart from a corporate sympathy card, I have had no acknowledgement of my bereavement, no phone call, no message of sympathy, and worse still, not one member of St Jude's staff attended his funeral, which has left me saddened and feeling very upset. No one bothered to contact me.

Having look at 10 care homes in the area one Sunday, I was pleased St Jude's had a vacancy for my 86 year old husband. St Jude's is not like a 5 star hotel, it is more homely and the staff know how to treat their clients with kindness. My husband, who had dementia, was difficult at the beginning of
his stay, but all the carers were so unbelievably patient. My husband died on 14th November.
If I need a care home, St Jude's would be the first and only one I would choose.

Overall, the family and friends of my brother were very pleased with virtually all aspects of his care at St Jude's. He could be awkward and demanding at times but despite this, with a small number of exceptions, nearly all of the staff were friendly and courteous to him at all times. It was occasionally
a bit noisy, with banging doors, etc. The management and nursing staff were very helpful, although there were occasional difficulties of communication due to staff not being native English speakers.

Staff very caring, Mum feels lonely though. Given it's £8,000 per month before discount, I wonder how much staff get paid. We often get bills for shower gel and shampoo and think a, is it being used? b, why not just include it in the costs.
