St Judes is situated between Belmont Village and Sutton town centre and offers fully furnished and spacious accommodation over three floors. A passionate team of well-trained staff provide nursing and end-of-life care and also excel in providing person-centred care and palliative care to those who living with dementia or those who may be older with health conditions.

Staff provide an environment for residents to be cared for in an understanding, professional and dignified way. As well as offering permanent accommodation, St Judes can also provide respite and convalescence care for those requiring temporary assistance.

Professionals aim to provide the highest standards of care and services at the home which is a member of the Registered Nursing Home Association (RNHA).

Accommodation for residents comprises of single and shared rooms, most of which are en-suite, while there are nurse call systems and televisions in each room as well as a private telephone which is available upon request.

The home has several lounges, a cinema room and a dining room which overlooks the patio with private garden. Residents can enjoy a full activities programme, organised by the activities co-ordinator, including outings and local entertainers.

Residents also have access to regular visits from dentists, opticians, physiotherapists, chiropodists, occupational therapists, hairdressers, religious ministers and local doctors.

An on-site cook liaises with residents and care staff on a daily basis to ensure they can enjoy choices of well-balanced, nutritious, appetising meals that meet their dietary requirements.

I think St Jude’s has recently been refurbished. The decor and furnishings are beautiful and comfortable. Everything is kept nice and clean and fresh.
The staff are caring and attentive; they speak kindly to the residents.
The food is cooked on the premises and is varied, appetising and nicely presented.

am very happy with the care my mother receives.

All the staff at St Jude's work hard to provide the best care for my mother. My mum has been there for over four years, and I wouldn't want her anywhere else.
If I need to discuss an issue, a staff member, nurse and the manager will make themselves available.
Covid changed the ease of visiting but
as this is changing there is a big welcome when you ring the doorbell.

Came to visit my dad and was greeted by a lovely member of staff who took me to see my dad and made us both a cup of tea. Checked on us regularly to make sure we were ok. Made me feel really welcome and comfortable.

My mother was a resident at St Jude's for more than four years. It was a great comfort to her family to know that during her last few years, she was in a safe, clean environment and being looked after by caring staff. She received excellent care and was treated with dignity and respect throughout.

The staff are very rude, mainly the manager and the head nurse. They refuse to let me speak to my father, this isn't right. They do not contact you back when you ask for a call. I understand about the pandemic going on but I should be able to speak to my father as I need to sort things with him and
he is in palliative care and they are refusing to let me speak to him. Staff are very hard to understand as well.

The staff was friendly enough and the care home was very clean. My grandad's room was very spacious. However, on every occasion we visited, my grandad looked unwashed, was unshaven, and looked generally unkempt, which wasn’t very nice to see, as he was a very proud and dignified man. The care home also
threw away his great granddaughter's drawings she did for him that we left at his bedside along with his birthday cards. Finally, on the last day we saw my Grandad (31st September), the staff couldn’t open the front door as they didn’t know the code. It took a few minutes and a third member of staff to know the code. What if there had have been a fire?
Overall I think the service is below par for the costs.

My mother was at St Jude's for six years. Her experience there was good, although improvements could have been made in terms of the cultural aspects of her life. On the whole, the family was always treated with respect by all staff members. Kept informed most of the time of changes or events in Mother's

Simply delighted with the care given to my sister over the past 4-years and the help and cooperation gave to my niece, who travels up from Cornwall every 3-weeks to visit her Mum. My mother moved to St Judes Nursing Home in October 2020, in the middle of the Covid pandemic. It has been a difficult time, as we were not able to enter the home due to the Covid regulations. However, we found all staff to be very helpful and pleasant to talk to. In this technology age, we discussed
my mother's needs via video conferencing and the senior management and nurses were very helpful in making sure Mum received the care she needed. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. We were even able to have video meetings with Mum, which was a service that made me and my sister feel we still had contact with Mum. Since Covid regulations were eased earlier this year, we have now been able to visit Mum in the "snug" and these regular visits have made us feel we made the right choice in moving Mum to St Judes. I cannot stress enough how helpful all staff are and they make you feel welcome. A big thank you to all staff at St Judes.

Mum is bedridden and does not really wake for more than a few moments each day. She is unable to do anything for herself. Mum is always clean has suffered no bed sores and has put on weight at St Jude's.

Our first impression when entering St Jude's Nursing Home was wow. There were fresh flowers everywhere. It felt so warming and homely. As we were shown the entire home we were certainly not disappointed. Every aspect of the home was beautifully furnished throughout with little touches of a see-through
fish tank and a beautifully maintained garden. The staff, from management to nurses to carers, were absolutely dedicated to their residents. I would certainly recommend St Jude's to anyone that may need the care for their loved ones.

I could not have wished for a better nursing home for my father. The building is clean, bright and has a nice atmosphere. It was a hard decision to move Mum into residential care, but I am so glad we chose St Jude's. The entire staff, including management and ancillary as well as nurses and carers, are kind and caring people. The rooms are clean and well maintained, food (cooked on the premises), is good and the range
of activities is good. Even in Mum's final weeks when she was bed-bound, she was always well cared for, comfortable with spotless bedding and nightdress. I have no hesitation in recommending St Jude's

After the last hospital admission, Mum got reassessed and she couldn't return to her former care home of 13months. I chose St Jude's mainly for the very good food, activities and the impression I got after visiting there. I had hoped Mum would join in and tried to encourage her but she was perfectly
happy and content to stay in her room. She wasn't really interested in making conversation or making friends anymore as I hoped she would. The staff were lovely, kind and caring and the care was good and very adequate for Mum's needs in the few months that she was here. Mum passed away peacefully on March 12th. Unfortunately, I was sent to the wrong address after I cleared mum's room to collect the death certificate which wasn't a problem but for others might be. The visiting opticians had wanted to charge me £300 for new glasses for Mum, which I wasn't pleased about either. It, however, has taken me nearly two months to get the refund we were due on the room.
