Hi Alexandra, thank you very much for your nice comments. We're all missing her at Magnolia Court. Send her our best wishes. Stay well and safe.
Returning from 5 days in hospital with a chest infection was like coming home; my mother was welcomed and she settled back into her own bed with relief. I, myself, look forward to visiting and spending time - the friendly, inviting atmosphere and high level of competency give absolute confidence in the care residents receive.
The gardens are beautiful, the food superb, residents' own rooms and the dining room and lounges are elegant. We feel incredibly lucky that mum has had her end of life in contentment and love at Magnolia Court.
Thank you for this excellent review. We always welcome comments from our relatives/residents
Thank you for your kind words.

Hello and welcome to Magnolia Court Nursing Home. My name is Wayne Hughes and I have been working in the care industry for over 30 years. I started working in the industry whilst at University and developed a genuine passion for making a difference to the lives of people that needed our support. Over the years I have worked in a number of roles and I have had the absolute pleasure of working for Barchester Healthcare for the last 10 years. Working with the very best in the sector has given me the tools to ensure that I can continue my passion in making a difference and ensuring that our residents are treated with respect and dignity. Promoting and understanding the person centred care needs of every resident in Magnolia Court is second to none to ensure that are residents live happy and healthy lives and I will work with the team to ensure this is in place. Feel free to come in and speak with me at any time.
I have been working at Magnolia Court since 2013. I started as an Adult Registered Nurse, which led to an opportunity to be a Unit Lead for our Memory Lane dementia community. I am now working as a Senior Nurse in the home, providing management support on Clinical processes.
This allows me to apply my nursing and management experience, caring for our residents and staff in all departments, giving me satisfaction with the support I am able to provide.
I also enjoy giving my input on ways of leading the home toward providing an excellent service, enriching the lives of those who live here and those who work here, too.
Aside from work, I play the guitar, support Tottenham Hotspur Football Team and enjoy walking my pug whose name is 'Pon', every day, which is a great comfort to me.
My name is Jurgita and I am a nurse and Unit lead at Magnolia Court. I have been here since 2014 and enjoy my work a great deal. I always try my best as a nurse and I strive to maintain a good relationship with residents, loved ones and colleagues.
Hello, my name is Anna Carillo. I began my journey at Magnolia in 2024 as a registered nurse. My passion for providing compassionate, patient-centred care quickly stood out, leading me to a promotion as Unit lead.
Hello, My name is Flor and I am a Senior Registered General Nurse and Nutrition Champion at Magnolia Court. I started Barchester in 2012 as a student as part of the overseas nurses programme. I enjoy my role very much especially getting to know residents and their loved ones. I had a very close relationship with my grandmother and loved spending time with her. I am very happy as I now have an extended family with all my Magnolia Court grandparents.
Dionel and Erlinda are our Senior Care Assistants. Erlina has worked for us for over 25 years and Dionel since 2015. They both love to support residents and strive to give them the highest quality of care possible. Dionel is also one of our Dementia champions.
Hello, my name is Nina and I am the new Home Administrator here at Magnolia Court Care Home.
I joined Barchester in 2016, starting at Bryn Ivor Lodge in Wales. In 2021, I made the exciting move to Magnolia Court, embracing the opportunity to be part of a new community and contribute to a different home environment. This transition has allowed me to broaden my experience and deepen my commitment to providing excellent care and support.
I began my journey as a care assistant and transitioned to an admin assistant last year. From May until October 2024, I became part of the transposing team for Enable, travelling around London to assist other Barchester care homes in the region with the important transition from paper records to digital systems, which I truly enjoyed.
I am very passionate about supporting the team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and working closely with residents and their families, ensuring their needs are met and their voices heard. My goal is to contribute positively to the care environment, fostering a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for everyone involved.
Outside of work, I love to hike, swim, and attend concerts and festivals in my spare time.
I look forward to continuing to assist and support the team, residents, and their families at Magnolia Court.

I have a natural love for the elderly and enjoy every single day in their company.
Hello, I am Jacqueline and I joined the Magnolia Court Team in November 2024 as Head Chef.
I qualified as a chef at Hammersmith college in 1999. I had a love for cooking since I was a child, my siblings and I helped our mum in the kitchen and as we grew up and took it in turns to cook to help our mum who was a nurse.
During my career as a Chef I have cooked at a number of wonderful and interesting places such the BBC, Westminster Council and The Royal ballet. I had the pleasure of cooking for Darcy Bussell, The Lord Mayors and Princess Margaret.
I love cooking as it enables me to be creative and make people happy at the same time. I was inspired by my mum and always wanted to cook with in health care. I really enjoy meeting and getting to know residents. It makes me very happy to see the delight and enjoyment my food brings to people.
