My mother has been in Manor Farm Care Home for two months. In that time, the home regularly telephoned and keep me up to date. Now at the end of her life, I am allowed to visit. Their kindness and efficiency is immeasurable. Also, their sympathetic and wise words during this sad period are really appreciated.
I hope the UK values the great works and services homes provide.

Thank you for your kind words and support, your mother was a very lovely lady and will be greatly missed, we only had a short time with her, but her lovely smile would light the room.

My Grandma moved to Manor Farm a few years ago and all staff there are amazing. They cared for her so patiently and always went above and beyond in their duty. They were helpful and supportive even during the difficult months through Covid and I would absolutely recommend this care home. I want to give
a special thanks to the senior nurse on my nan's floor and her team who always had a smile on their face despite the challenges they faced every day. Thanks to you, my nan had a more pleasant time in the final few months of her life and we are very grateful.

The interviews were held in a cordial manner. The Manor Farm manager was in attendance, questions asked of my wife, were in similitude to those of the home manager.

Both my husband and I would highly recommend and thank Manor Farm Care Home (Management and all staff) for looking after my brother-in-law for the last 6 weeks of his life in December 2019. From the moment he arrived there, they made him very welcome and took the time to settle him into his room
(even though they received him at short notice from the hospital).
I think it's great that the Manager and Assistant Manager both visit each resident every morning to see how they are doing and have a quick chat and laugh with them. Plus when they talk to us about our family member and about residents, in general, they really care about how they are doing.
Manor Farm events team even arranged a birthday surprise for him by decorating his room with Happy Birthday banners and balloons, making him feel very special, They even had a birthday party for him with more than half the other residents attending to sing Happy Birthday to him. That day is a memory we will cherish. Thanking all staff again.

We would recommend Manor Farm Care Home to anybody looking to place their family member there. We visited 9 - 10 care homes before we came to Manor Farm. As soon as we walked in the doors we were greeted by the manager and assistant manager with a very friendly and assuring way. We were told not to
worry about anything. We immediately thought this was the right place for my brother. Thank you very much.

Although my Dad was only at Manor Farm for a short time, I was very happy with the care he received. The staff were lovely; approachable, very friendly, happy, kind and caring. I was always kept informed of all that was happening, if he was unwell etc. I am so glad he was here in the last few months
of his life. Thank you to ALL at Manor Farm.

Current Review Score: 8.8 (8.761)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.8 (8.761) out of 10 for Manor Farm Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.3 out of 5 from 11 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.5 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.305 for Manor Farm Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (85 Excellents x 5) + (17 Goods x 4) + (13 Satisfactorys x 3) + (6 Poors x 2) + (7 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 128 Ratings = 4.305
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.456 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Manor Farm Care Home is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 81 registered maximum number of service users is 16.2. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 16.2 = 0.556
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
