The care and commitment of the team at Meyer House is 1st class. The food is good and varied. The reception and admin staff are very good. Nothing is too much trouble.
Dear John, thank you for taking time to express your positive experience in regards of Meyer House Team. We are very grateful and your opinion is very important to us.
The care home is well looked after. Carers are very loving and look after all of the residents. In this difficult time, they are doing a first-class job.
Dear Colin, thank you so much for your lovely review. The Team at Meyer House is working hard to keep our residents healthy, content and happy. Your feedback means a lot to them.
The staff have been amazing during this current lockdown situation. They have kept us all in touch with what is going on in Meyer House, by emails and calls. We Skype call to speak to my Dad and this has been a huge help as my Mum is able to see Dad without going to visit. An amazing team who go above and beyond.
Dear Nicola, thank you so much for taking the time to share your positive experience. Your opinion is very important to us and all your kind words will motivate the team to keep going and to provide the best quality of care and support.
I have been greatly impressed by all the care and help from members of the staff. Nothing is too much trouble and they have been very supportive of my husband and I, as we miss each other very much. It has been arranged so that we can see each other through the window glass once a week.
Dear Janet, thank you so much for sharing your positive experience. I am really pleased to see that you are happy with the care provided to your husband and the support you received during this difficult time. Your opinion is very important to us.
My wife seems OK but because of lockdown, I can only check by phone.
Dear Derek, thank you so much for sharing your experience. We are living in a difficult time and is very hard for all of us to cope with isolation. The most important thing is that your wife and yourself are safe, and very soon we will be able to facilitate the visits at Meyer House Care Home. Stay safe and hopefully, we will see you very soon.
Management and staff always friendly and helpful. Excellent entertainment and activity programmes enjoyed by the residents. Residents are a large family cared for in all aspects by a dedicated team.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. Your opinion is very important, helping us to improve our quality of service.
We are so very grateful for the loving care and support the manager and carers of Meyer House gave to my mother whilst in their care. We couldn't have managed without them. Mum was quite happy and well looked after. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The house is run by a lovely lady who really cares about the people in her care.
Thank you so much for this beautiful review. In this difficult time, your kind words means the world to Meyer House Care Home Team.
Myself and my family cannot speak highly enough for the care and attention that was given to my mum who was suffering with dementia. The carers, down to the admin on-site treated my mum as if she was their own. For the whole period my mum was a resident, we saw a significant change in her. Always happy, laughing, always clean and tidy. The hygiene was second to none. The home is spotless and the activities we of a very high standard. When my mum dies on 27th February 2020, the carers were a tower of strength towards us. We shall miss them dearly.
Dear Valerie, I am really sorry for your loss, your Mum was a lovely Lady, and I am glad that Meyer House Team cared well for her. Thank you so much for your positive review, is very important to us to know that we can change people's lives for better. Meyer House's staff and residents are a big family, and family are caring and supporting for each other.
My weekly visit is always pleasant with the resident. The staff are always welcoming and on occasions, will stop and chat and usually provide a cuppa and biscuits/cake. It is a very happy environment and there are plenty of activities to keep the residents involved and happy.
Thank you very much for your lovely feedback. I am really pleased that you are having quality time with your loved one when visiting Meyer House. Your opinion is very important to us, as one of our values is to make a positive difference in people's lives.
My Family and I thank you so much for all of your care staff give my sister from the 16/01/19 - 17/02/19. My sister is with my mum, dad and my other sister in the land of no pain and free from the big C - CANCER.
The carers and support staff are friendly and professional. The environment immediately makes you feel comfortable, particularly in these difficult times. They treat the residents with care and respect and nothing is a problem. The rooms are pleasantly decorated and clean. As visitors, the staff make you comfortable. Mum is very happy and comfortable there.
On future visits the same process was gone through. No one was on the desk when I went in, staff came and asked if I would like a drink.
Just moved in but pleased with care.
Always excellent care and services thank you. Staff and management are always caring and considerate to both residents and family and friends. The home is always clean and the food looks lovely. Wouldn’t wish for the resident to have to go elsewhere.
Happy with the care my relative is receiving. She is very insular and doesn’t want to join in much with activities but they come to her and read and speak to her etc.
I am very pleased with the care that my mother has received at the home. Staff have always treated her with respect and dignity.
I am very happy with the care my mum gets and find the manager and staff always happy to help with any concerns. I am kept up to date on mum's care.
My mother has been a resident in Meyer House Care Centre for nearly two years. She is always clean and is treated with dignity and respect. She has dementia and her needs have changed but the staff have accommodated her changes. It is hard to decide to put a loved one in residential care but I am happy she is safe and well cared for.
Mum is settled and reasonably happy considering her dementia. Staff are very considerate and caring. Room is comfortable and clean.
The staff are friendly, helpful and kind. You can always ask questions without feeling you are being a nuisance. All the activities they do and encourage family and clients to join in, make it more like home. If you visit for a long period of time you are always offered refreshments and food.

Meet the Team (3)

"I started working at Meyer House in September 2019 when I was appointed as a Deputy Manager, and was proudly promoted to Home Manager in September 2021. Having started as a Student Nurse, I have been working in the Adult Care industry for over 11 years and I've developed and grown professionally throughout that time.
As a leading care provider, I have found Nellsar that takes the professional growth and development of every member of their staff very seriously. Since I joined Nellsar, I have had the opportunity to undertake many professional and learning developments required for my clinical development, including NVQ Level 5, ACAS Conducting Investigations, Skills For Care (Well Led Course), Practice Assessor’s Course, Pressure Ulcer training, Grey Matter training and Clinical Skills for Care.
Being a Nurse, I am able to know my residents well and cater to their needs, which brings me immense joy. When I am able to bring a ray of hope, or a smile to my residents and their families' faces, that’s the reward for me. Being a Nurse in India, we don’t get as many opportunities for learning and development, or as much support. Here, at Meyer House, I have been able to see and experience a variety of career opportunities and progression; I have been able to grow in my Career and explore different job roles.
When I first joined, most of our notes and documentation was paper based and slowly we have transitioned over to the digital care planning tool, Nourish. This means we have been able to cater to the different nursing needs of our residents in a more efficient way. We always strive to provide the best care and support for our residents and their families, inviting their input and including other Team members.
I have an excellent team at Meyer House whose prime focus is always our residents, who are the heart of our Home. My Senior Management team is very supportive and approachable. When I took over as Manager, I was overwhelmed by the care and support extended to me – everyone made me feel at ease and were always ready to guide me.
The best part about working with and leading a Care Home team is knowing that I am able to make a difference to a person's life and I am one of the reasons my residents are smiling. We at Meyer House are a big happy family, who always stand up for each other and offer the support we need."

"My name is Jibila Babu and I've been working as a Registered Nurse at Meyer House since May 2021. I have received continuous training since I joined the Home, including Grey Matter training, Fire and Safety training, MUST, Wound Care and other basic clinical skills training.
Working at Meyer House is really a pleasure, with supportive colleagues and care staff. One of the most positive changes I've witnessed in recent times is the adoption of the digital care planning tool – Nourish. Moving everything online not only saves paper and time, it means our care services and notes for our residents are more integrated.
The whole team, including the manager, is very supportive and always approachable. They have provided a tension-free, comfortable working environment and I love being part of such a leading Care Home team. I feel positively motivated and look forward to my future career at Meyer House."

“What I most enjoy about my job is seeing the residents happy and content. I love making a difference to their lives and it's wonderful to see them enjoying entertainment and interacting with other residents. I go home at the end of the day knowing I have made a difference and had an impact on others. The best thing about working as part of a team here at Meyer House is that you have always got someone to ask for advice and support you in what you are unsure about.
I joined Meyer House in 2014 and my current role is Senior Team Leader. Previously, I have worked as Team Leader, Medication Handout, Hairdresser, and I have helped out in the Laundry and the Kitchen at times too. I have seen many positive changes throughout my time here including the use of Nourish – an online care planning technology – which has made a big difference to the way we work.
I feel proud of my professional achievements. I achieved my NVQ Level 2 and 3, and love learning new things every day while working. I am currently waiting to start my NVQ Level 5 and I am really looking forward to doing it and learning new things.
In addition to my NVQs, I have completed all the mandatory training plus Health and Safety, Fire Awareness and Fire Marshal, COVID-19, Safe Guarding, Mental Health, GDPR, Palliative Care and End Of Life, and Bereavement. I look forward to more training for myself and my team in the future, including Train the Trainer; knowledge is the key to empowering staff to progress in their development.
Our team is very supportive and always willing to listen and help when they can – willing to listen to any concerns we may have and help as much as they can. Our Manager has always had an open door policy and will always meet your needs and concerns as much as she can. Together, we are putting the care back into caring; we work as part of a family as well as a team."
