Nairn House is a purpose-built home in Enfield that warmly welcomes people with a range of residential and nursing care needs, including palliative and Parkinson's care.

They’re there when you and your loved ones need them most. For planned respite or last-minute trips. A safe space to recover after an operation. To experience what their home’s like before moving long-term. To just relax. Whatever the reason, their doors are open.

Nairn House is set within pleasant grounds and situated close to local amenities such as shops and a bus route. Accommodation features furnished en suite bedrooms with views of the gardens and each room has a 24-hour call system.

Meals are varied to suit individual tastes and diet and prepared daily by the in-house chef. They also talk to each resident about their likes, dislikes and any special dietary needs when they move in. That way, their food is cooked just right. A Night Bite menu is also available for out of hours snacks and refreshments.

There’s a real sense of community at the home. The staff work to discover what residents enjoy doing and the home's social calendar is organised around those interests. Dedicated activity coordinators help ensure residents are able to pursue their hobbies and interests, as well as organising a range of activities which include bingo, quizzes, flower arranging and music sessions, there is so much for residents to enjoy. Regular trips to the seaside are also enjoyed as are shopping trips and themed monthly events.

My father, who spent the last six weeks of his life in Nairn House, was greatly cared for by the amazing staff who we could not fault. Dementia finally took the life of my father but we knew from the time he was admitted we knew he was in good hands.

We owe a big thank you to all the team at Nairn House for their great efforts to help and care for our father (and all the other residents) during this difficult time (Covid 19). We as a family really appreciate it and see via facetime links with him that Dad remains quite content there, with little
apparent change or disruption to his day to day routines.
Also, we praise the Nairn House team for their quick care and efficient response to our dad when there is a special healthcare need. We have had excellent and thoughtful communication from the hospital even though we are currently unable to visit.
Dad settled in gradually but now sees Nairn House as his home, and his regular carers are both characters and friends as much as they are carers to him. Having an overseeing body such as the group we feel has been of great benefit throughout dads years there, this being even more important during the Coronavirus crisis.
We would also add that the staff give our family good support too.

The care home is a bright and warm place for my mother. The staff are very kind and professional and so their best to look after my mother.
I know that caring for the elderly is not an easy job. I am glad that my mother is being cared for at Nairn House. We had looked at other care homes but none of
these were of the standard of Narin House.

Generally, the staff are friendly and mostly helpful. However, they are lacking in communication skills and seem to forget that these residents have had a "life" and are somebody's mother, father, husband, wife etc. I am speaking as a retired nurse.

My father is well looked after, safe, secure and well fed. He would like more activities but thoroughly enjoys those that are arranged. The staff are kind and patient and we are confident that they have my father's best interests at heart. We would recommend Nairn House to others.

My husband arrived here in October 2016. He is here on end of life care, this was my last resort as I could not care for him at home.
I am pleased and happy that he is here. He appears to be reasonably well cared for. I visit regularly and if there are any issues they are quickly resolved by staff.
The staff are friendly, they work very long hours and I appreciate their help and support.

My mother was, unfortunately, bed ridden and very poorly when she was admitted to Nairn House Care Home so didn't experience the lovely food and facilities provided but she was treated with dignity and kindness while she was there. Sadly, she died four weeks after being admitted. Thank you to all the
staff who did their best to make her as comfortable as possible while she was there.

My husband was treated with the utmost care and patience during the last stage of his life. The nurses and carers did all they could to make his life as comfortable and pain-free as possible. I cannot thank them enough for their kindness.
