Red Court is a listed building that has been sensitively modernised, whilst retaining many original features, and provides nursing, residential, palliative, respite and convalescence care.

The home is located in a peaceful neighbourhood near Croydon, surrounded by over an acre of landscaped gardens, therefore residents are offered a comfortable and homely place to stay.

Each bedroom comes with its own colour scheme, a garden view (except one with, a beautiful balcony instead), and a flat-screen TV. Some rooms have an en suite shower room with W/C, and there are shared bathrooms around the home. There is also a junior suite and deluxe residential rooms that have recently been refurbished.

Enjoying food is an important part of life. The chefs create well-crafted menus made with the freshest ingredients, catering to all ethnicity groups. Soon after a resident arrives at Red Court, staff discuss personal preferences and dietary needs.

My father is very pleased with the staff and the service provided by Red Court. He tells me that the food is excellent and the staff are attentive. I was lucky to visit him with his grandson under the new government guidelines which my father was very happy about as he has never seen his grandson before.
My visit from beginning to end was very pleasant, the staff were chatty and very helpful. My son enjoyed the gardens outside, particularly the pond and water features (which I am sure the residents enjoy too). Overall I am very satisfied that my father is in good hands and look forward to visiting him again very soon.

Staff are very friendly and always happy to help. Communication from the home has been really good, especially over the last few months during lockdown, when visiting is limited and families are reliant on information being given about what the residents are doing.

My Mum has been a resident of Red Court since April 2019. My partner and I were very impressed with all aspects of Red Court when we visited prior to my Mum moving in and she settled in very quickly, thanks to all of the staff. And then for this second year of my Mum's time at Red Court, we've had the
world's first pandemic in over 100 years and all the restrictions this has meant for residents and families. Thankfully, all of the staff at Red Court understand this and they too have been through some upheaval, with the previous Home Manager, Deputy Manager and Activities Co-ordinator all leaving over a short period and a Nurse, in particular, had to step in and do a brilliant job performing three full-time roles until current Home Manager arrived. The new manager has ensured that she and all the Red Court staff continue to endeavour to provide the best possible service to all residents and their family members and this was particularly welcome at Christmas, a time my Mum has always enjoyed.

My mother is now a long-term resident. Red Court has had some ups and downs and changes in management but now seems to be settling down under the new manager. My mother always says how well looked after she is and she does seem to be in good shape.

My Mum became a resident at Red Court just before the national lockdown in March 2020, so this has been a challenging time. Despite this, the compassionate care and sincere empathy that my Mum has received has been truly outstanding. All of the staff and management at this care home treat her as though
she were a member of their own family and continue to do so in the midst of what is still a very challenging time. With Christmas approaching, it will be difficult with her not being able to join our celebrations but I know everyone at Red Court will make her Christmas and all the residents at Red Court, as happy and enjoyable as they can. I would highly recommend this Bupa Care Home to anyone looking for a placement for a relative or loved one.

My husband has been in Red Court Care Home for 3 1/2 years because of numerous strokes. He is extremely disabled - unable to do anything for himself, having to trust the staff for all care and attention. Everyone has been extremely kind and caring at all times, so much so that they seem like our extended

As I am only a visitor and not a resident, I do not have experience of the service provided. However, my first impressions of Red Court are very good. All staff are friendly, welcoming and professional. The gardens and environment are beautiful and peaceful.
I feel confident that my dear friend, who
is being admitted today for palliative care, will be safe, comfortable and treated with respect.

It has been a difficult time for all connected with care homes. We are grateful Mum is still alive but are sad that there has not been a member of staff available to take Mum into the garden during all the lovely weather we have had during lockdown (Summer 2020). Mum loves to be in the sun more than
anything so we are disappointed that despite numerous requests and a recommendation from a Bupa Manager, that Mum has been in the garden less than ten times since March 16th. The Bupa Manager was hoping Mum would get out three times a week!. I can only assume a lack of staff has been the problem. Sitting in the sun would have helped to promote Mum's wellbeing. We understand there will be an activities coordinator starting soon so we hope Mum will get out into the garden with her and that there will be some sun for Mum to enjoy. Residents are not allowed to have their doors wide open in hot weather on the ground floor at the back of the house as it is a security risk. A side gate, better fencing to the back of the garden, and CCTV would help enormously.

I came into this home to await two operations, not because of a stroke, dementia, or other illness, where I could make decisions for myself and have not needed the amount of care that others needed. However, when I need a carer and several call bells are ringing, other residents seem to take precedence.
I need two carers at a time to be hoisted to commode/wheelchair and believe most other residents only require one. Therefore, I have a longer wait. When I have been hoisted on some occasions my dignity has not always been observed with the door left open. Some carers have talked over me i.e. "is she going in the armchair?", not using my name and some staff have tended to talk down to me as if I did not have full capacity and needed supervision. I have also found the selection of food disappointing.

More staff needed. The regular staff are very good and kind but the night staff are often quite abrupt and rough. The staff work very hard but don't always have the time to ensure that my mother has all she needs to hand. It would be nice if someone had 10 minutes a day to check that she has all she
needs and spend a bit more time when washing as this is often rushed.

Everything about the care home is great. The staff are very kind, caring and patient and the food is great. I never thought I would ever come to a place like this, but this place is a godsend. The children are happy for me, for me to get medical care, especially as I can no longer look after myself.

Red Court was the 1st Nursing Home I visited from word of mouth. Mum has COPD. I knew my Mum would love it from when I drove into the lovely grounds. A member of staff greeted me with a cup of tea, and we went through what the home has to offer and how it would assist with all my Mum’s needs. I was
very impressed and felt at ease. Her room looks out onto a back garden that is peaceful and beautiful with her own little patch for her to maintain with the great gardener. She has settled in very well, and between her and all the nurses that administrate her medication, she is now calmer, happier and stress-free from all the concerns she had living alone at her house. Red Court offers excellent choices of food which three times a day, along with tea, cakes, biscuits 2/47. Her quality of life is far better, and she is very well looked after and checked on. Peace of mind for me. Best decision we both made. 10 out of 10 services. Staff make it feel like a big family community. Well done!

From the cleaners, chef, assistants, nurses and management, my dad and family who visited him were treated so well. Having looked at a few homes and feeling very low Red court Care Home was recommended to me to view. Wow! What a lovely place, friendly, clean, patients well looked after. During my late husbands stay they couldn't do enough for him and as a family looked after us too. If I have to go into a home I

The staff without exception were extremely kind and pleasant.
Perhaps one more member of staff would have been helpful. The television in the lounge needed a working remote control and also a soundbar as the sound was not great particularly for elderly people with hearing problems.

My mother has had a particularly stressful year this year and we were awaiting an assessment by social services in order to proceed to the next stage of her long term care.
We selected Red Court because the closest care home had no vacancies. We have been entirely pleased with the accommodation, attention,
treatment from the staff at all levels.
The cleanliness, hygiene, food - in short, everything that pertains to this stay has been excellent. Absolutely nothing is too much trouble. The staff are resident focussed and this is evident by the atmosphere at Red Court. My mother's state of health has improved incredibly. She herself feels much better and we can only say that it is all due to the care and attention given by all at Red Court. Thank you so very much.
