Red Court Care Home

My relative's stay at Red Court Care Home was not a happy one. The standard of his care was poor. Although fed somewhat adequately, and personal care was attended to, his social and emotional needs were completely ignored, and the care staff did not know how to handle him when he was confused. He was left in bed all day every day. Appointments were messed up, and I had to micro-manage by contacting the doctor, as they did not notice things, or pass on information. Lack of attention and poor communication. His quality of life has drastically improved since moving to another Home. They get him out of bed every day. He eats in the dining room and spends time in communal areas, and engages in activities. He has made close connections with the staff caring for him, and has even been out on a trip. His mental health is so much better, due to better care, stimulation, and being treated with dignity and respect. This is how Care should be, but was sadly lacking at Red Court.

The team at Red Court are very caring, kind, and friendly. My Dad was very happy here, he made friends with all of the staff. From the kitchen, care team, nurses, and groundsman. Dad was very happy here.

My experience in Red Court Care Home so far has been very positive. All the staff here are nice to me and I am very grateful for the support and care.

The staff are friendly and professional and my husband has thrived since he's been there covering from a stroke.

The staff at the care home are always pleasant/happy. My uncle can be very set in his ways and awkward to assist. He isn't very active after his original fall in 2023. The meals could be better, he often complains of meals being too salty, this unfortunately hasn't changed. Diets are varied here. There are exercise classes, entertainment provided but it is up to individuals to join, you are not pushed to join. Cleaning is good, laundry good. Medicals I personally have only seen the doctor once here but they come once a week so I am told. They are good at getting family in hospital if fallen or other problems. Staff attend funerals.

I cannot express my gratitude to all the staff, nursing a non-medical. Nothing was ever too much trouble. This is a kind, compassionate home thanks to all the staff.

The home and carers were most welcoming when Mum arrived and since have been very attentive to Mum's needs and wishes. They have all been very friendly om every visit towards us and Mum. A very caring, helpful, kind staff. Thank you.

Very very good people that look after my brother and they are so nice to him. Happy with the care that they give.

My mother has been very comfortable and well cared for at Red Court Care Home. The staff are very friendly and caring and have become like friends to Mum. The rooms are good and the setting very pleasant with a good variety both in meals and activities.

She is even considering staying home long-term which she wouldn't consider if she wasn't happy there.

I would like to commend the care home for the level of care and service they provided for my grandad whilst he was under their supervision. They ensured all his needs were met and that he was thoroughly supported throughout. They consistently kept the family updated on his health and progress. If there were ever any concerns, they were sure to inform us. They accommodated us when he eventually passed and allowed us to spend the necessary time with him. I want to commend all the staff who helped with his hygiene, nutrition and rehabilitation. They are all greatly appreciated by the family

It's only been a week but I have been impressed by the engaging, helpful and friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble and is usually carried out with a smile. The grounds and location make it easy and pleasant to visit. I would recommend it to others looking for care.

The staff of Red Court are very professional and polite. They make you feel at ease and comfortable. This is a pleasant environment for my father to recuperate and get back to a hopefully fulfilling life.

My mum had two week’s convalescing at Red Court Care Home after an operation. We were all a bit nervous but let’s just say Mum shed a tear when she left a fortnight later! The team are so kind and welcoming and completely unfazed. Mum had a lovely room, with access to the garden. She has mild dementia and was unsettled to start with but the team helped her through that period and she left having put on a bit of weight and in a much better mental state as well as having recovered well from her op. My dad was able to visit every day which made a big difference. Red Court is an oasis just 15 minutes walk from East Croydon.

The team at Red Court made the experience extremely welcoming and easy to organise. This was my first time using the respite service and look forward to using it more regularly thank you to all.

Red Court is amazing. I recommend it to everyone. It's friendly, clean and homely. I feel made at home on every visit to see my mum. From management, carers, nurses, receptionists, gardeners and other residents; it's amazing. My mum always looks cared for and looked after, as well as happy. Thank you, Red Court.

My husband went into Red Court Nursing Home for palliative care. I found all the staff very caring and helpful. After his long illness, it was the only place I felt happy leaving him. At the very end, I stayed four nights with him and we had soft music and it was beautiful.

My friend was only in the care home for six weeks when she passed away. The care was wonderful and caring. It could not have been better. She was comfortable, nothing was too much trouble. All the staff made her last days comfortable, their kindness was wonderful. I could not speak highly enough of Red Court I would recommend it to anyone.

My mum has been at Red Court since November 2021. It was a difficult decision for mum (of 93 years) to move out of her home of 62 years and into unfamiliar surroundings. However, as soon as we viewed Red Court we knew that this was the right place for her. The staff are very nice, helpful and always welcoming. Mum is enjoying having all her meals cooked for her and they always look very appetising. My mum is a very quiet, private person and we were very concerned about how she would accept living amongst other people but Red Court acknowledge this and are very respectful and understanding. We are very thankful that mum was able to secure a place here.

When I first visited my Mum in Red Court I knew instantly that this was the place for Mum. All the staff I have met have been so welcoming, helpful, caring, and always happy to help. I receive regular email updates from the manager which are extremely helpful. It's been a huge relief for all the family knowing Mum is being well cared for. Mum has often said she feels safe at Red Court this makes me happy.
