The two words "thank you" do not impart all the warm emotions I feel as I recall the myriad of things you and your staff did for my mother and me in our time of distress. I think of you as family. My heartfelt thanks to you all

Warmest thoughts.

My experience of this nursing home as the son of a long term resident is very positive. The standard of care and support provided is very high and appears to be very well managed. The rooms and common areas seem clean and well maintained, and the staff are always helpful and courteous.

We, as a family, cannot speak highly enough of Sundridge Court Nursing Home and its staff. From the very first day, Mum arrived there a severe dementia resident, and the difficulties and challenges staff faced with her, they always had her best interests at heart and were never anything other than friendly and warm. In pre-Covid times, our regular visits were always welcome, and during the time of restrictions, they always did everything they possibly could to maintain contact - including FaceTime calls with Mum by their side. The care and attention to detail were second to none, and the respect and kindness shown to us as a family by the team at Sundridge Court in Mum's final days, and in the days following her passing, will never be forgotten. We will forever be grateful to them all.

My dad was not in Sundridge Court for long but they were truly wonderful, caring and very kind to me his daughter. Absolutely following government guidelines, but realising my dad was at the end of his life, and made it very easy for me to cope with a terrible time in my life! I couldn't be more grateful for their kind words and thoughtful actions. Right from the top, the manager, to the bottom, the cleaners, they have been kind, caring and actually couldn't do enough for my dad and me.

Unfortunately, my mother only had six weeks at the nursing home as she passed away on the 3rd March. Her care home closed so we had to find a home very quickly. In the short time that my mum was there, she was looked after and cared for in a most dignified way. The staff were very caring and patient with her, right to the end. Everyone made us feel very welcome. I am so glad my mum spent her last days there.

The care and commitment my father has received is amazing. Nothing is too much for any of the staff from the manager and admin, the clinical team, carers, domestic team and the kitchen staff. Everyone has welcomed us and we were part of the family from the moment we walked in. Excellent food and family can also eat with their loved ones. I highly recommend Sundridge Court.

The home has been fantastic with a consistent team of staff from management, clinical, care, cleaning and chefs. All got to know my mum and show the help and kind consideration that her family do. The size and number of service users per staff makes this conducive. The minor negative is a little bit tired in places and slight lack of space for family privacy in social areas.

I feel very fortunate that my mum spent some time here. All the staff were incredibly kind, thoughtful and professional. The level of care each patient gets is incredible and is tailored to their needs. The place is made to feel like a home and family and friends of the resident are made to feel at home too. I thought this place was a godsend and I would recommend this place to anyone. Look no further and use Sundridge Court.

It's a clean, calm and friendly environment for the residents. The meals are outstanding and good variety. Although my grandad doesn't always partake, there are a variety of activities to join in including an annual bbq which is good fun. A singer gets everyone singing and tap along. The staff are kind and attentive. I would highly recommend this care home to take care of anyone's family member.

I have to say, my friend had been in another care home previous to this and it wasn't very good. Since my friend has lived here he has improved mentally and has been treated so well. All of the staff are professional and friendly, you always see the same staff which means they do not rely on agency. It was the best decision to move my friend here.

Theresa Afodume
Theresa AfodumeJob Title:Home Manager

I originally trained as a midwife which was my passion for 7 years. Since then I have spent almost three decades working as a staff nurse and building up my experience in the care industry. I began work at Sundridge Court as a Nurse, working my way up to Deputy Manager and now Home Manager which I am very proud of.

I take the role of caring for our residents and ensuring that their needs are met very seriously. Making sure our care team are happy and fully trained in order to offer a safe and happy home is a priority. I really enjoy interacting with the residents and their relatives and friends on a daily basis, listening to the stories that residents have to tell and making sure they are they are included in their care plans.

Over the last few years I am proud to have been involved in building Sundridge Court to be the warm and caring home it is now with the help of my colleagues, ensuring it is a safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led home.
