The staff and management team at Annandale were an incredible support for the last few months of my wife's life, not only to her, but also to me and our family.
They all gave 110% to make Ursula's life bearable.

Well what an amazing home.my dad went to annadale lodge for the last few weeks of his life and the minute we walked through the door we felt immediately at ease we were welcomed with a smile by georgina the manager and millie the events manager. This was a very difficult situation for our family but
was made alot easier by this wonderful team . Mary the nurse and all the team took great care of dad often getting a smile out of him and a wave, and nothing was to much trouble. Dad didn't want to go into a home but mum was struggling caring for him,but he liked it here and was made very comfortable. Having worked in care myself in a very good carehome I new this home was brilliant. They looked after us also and on dad's last day we spent all day at the home and we plied with hot drinks and offered and evening meal. I will bexable to cherish dad's last day thanks to their support. 100% care in my eyes tops marks xx

I cannot emphasise how well my dad was take care of during his few months at Annandale Lodge. We first contacted them after dads condition deteriorated and was taken to hospital. I contacted the manager and within days, she had seen dad in hospital, reviewed his condition and arranged transfer to
the nursing home. We chose Annandale because the facility is very homely and friendly. All the staff are extremely friendly and polite, and there was always somebody that could give an update on dads condition. They always treated dad with care and compassion, and soon worked out what did and didn't work for him. If you want your loved one to be taken care of, I would without any hesitation recommend Annandale Lodge.

We cannot thank this care home enough for the compassion, kindness, and dignity they showed my dad during the last five weeks of his life while he was receiving palliative care. From the very first day, every member of staff treated him - and us as a family - with genuine warmth, respect, and understanding.
The
care my dad received was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to ensure he was comfortable, peaceful, and never alone. Their professionalism was matched by their kindness; nothing ever felt rushed, and no request was ever too much trouble. They took the time to get to know my dad as a person, not just a patient, and that meant more to us than words can express.
During an incredibly difficult time, the support they gave our family was invaluable. We were kept informed, reassured, and shown endless compassion. Knowing he was in such safe, caring hands brought us comfort when we needed it most.
We will always be deeply grateful for the love and dignity shown to my dad

My mother was admitted to Annadale Lodge to receive end-of-life care. As upsetting as this was, she was looked after with great kindness, dignity and expertise.
Everyone at Annadale took an interest and made time to ensure we had everything we needed, from management to catering staff. I am most grateful
to the whole team.

My mum was resident at Annandale Lodge from August last year until March this year and right from the start the care was excellent. Every single member of the team went above and beyond and the biggest impression left on me was how they made sure my dad was also looked after whilst he was there visiting
mum. Can't fault the care we received.

My Husband has been at Annandale lodge since Dec.24 he has vascular dementia. and as soon as i view the home you felt the love in every room and it feels like a proper home not an insitution like some places, the staff
are awesome from the carers to the cleaning staff they all make my husband laugh
and he makes them laugh
if he's having a bad day they pick him up by chatting and making him laugh and feel good..they all go above
and beyond and the nurses are awesome too, they do a fantastic job looking after him and making sure he takes his medication in a lovely way.. the manager is awesome to, she listen to your worries she reassures you by explaining how dementia effects some people with my husband they all have been great and treat him with
respect love and compassion and dignity and still make him feel like he's still a man, and not a baby.. the food
is out of this world and everyone pulls together as a team.. And for me they also have helped me to see i've down the right thing

I would like to say a very big thank you to you all for the care that you gave my partner. You were all so very kind. You all treated him with dignity.
You treated him so lovingly. It was apparent in all that you did for him.
I was so lucky that he was placed in your home.
This home is filled with
love, I felt it from the first moment that I walked in and I am sure he felt it too.
I noticed that you went the extra mile while he was here. Nothing was too much trouble. He was cold and needed a blanket, one arrived in minutes. He fancied an ice pop, one magically appeared from the kitchen.
Tragically you didn't know him when he was a fit and well man with a wicked sense of humour however you all gave him the most precious gift of giving him your time. I know that he was settled and comfortable at all times and that is what mattered the most.
I would like to say a very big thank you from the bottom of my heart.

My dad who has dementia has been at Annandale for 6 years and has always been treated with compassion and kindness. The carers are genuinely thoughtful of his needs. They have supported him through this awful disease and have been there when I have not been able to face it. I will be forever grateful
for this.

The team have been looking after Dad for 8 months now, and have been kind, caring and thoughtful throughout. Compassionate when his dementia-driven behaviour was so tricky, but now with extra tenderness and care as he has become more frail. When he was more alert, he definitely enjoyed the banter and
chat with all the staff - the kitchen team when deciding on meals, stop by for a natter, the care staff too. The manager leads by example and exudes care and compassion, and I have the utmost confidence in her and her team to continue to look after Dad.

My mother-in-law has been in the care of Annandale Lodge since Jan 2023. Despite her ongoing ailments including a recent Dementia diagnosis Mum has always been treated with the utmost respect and more importantly loving care. Everyone from the cleaning, kitchen, care, nursing staff and Manager always
has time to spend valuable interactions with Mum ensuring she is involved in both understanding her care but most importantly her everyday needs.
All staff are always willing to listen to our concerns or discuss with us Mum's care.
Recently on Mum's Birthday the staff gathered to help her celebrate which showed Mum is not just treated as another resident they really do care for her as an individual.

I visit my good friend who is a resident in this home. I am always greeted by very friendly staff. My friend genuinely loves living here. The care he receives is always of high quality. Every member of staff, I have been fortunate enough to meet, is so kind and genuine. When he comes to choosing food
options, the chef is always very flexible with his choices. Management is extremely friendly and takes time out to chat with him. A great place.

Just wanted to extend our sincere thanks to the management and staff at Annandale Lodge. Despite my father-in-law's aliments, both he and the family feel he is in the best place. He feels happy and secure, and we feel he is getting a good standard of care. Worthy of note is the friendliness of the staff
and the improved menu.
My sincere thanks to you all.

My daughter-in-law entered Annandale Home whilst in the final stages of a terminal illness. The care that she received was the best that we could have for her. The staff were excellent, always respectful we could not fault one single moment. As the time came for her to leave this world the family were
shown such kindness, which was way beyond the staff's normal duties. I would have no hesitation in recommending this home to anyone who wants to give their relatives kindness and good loving care. She was kept clean and comfortable to the end. Excellent home.

My mother was in the care of Annandale Lodge during March and April 2023. The care she received during this period allowed her to live her final days in comfort, surrounded by the most caring of people. Every person we had contact with was an absolute credit to both Annandale Lodge and the caring profession
in general. The humanity and patience shown by all of the care staff were a great comfort to us and took away any concerns we had regarding her final days.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.758) out of 10 for Annandale Lodge Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 13 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 13 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.933 for Annandale Lodge Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (140 Excellents x 5) + (10 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 150 Ratings = 4.933
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.825 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Annandale Lodge Care Home is based on 13 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.825
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 26 registered maximum number of service users is 5.2, which has been reached with 13 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
