Just wanted to extend our sincere thanks to the management and staff at Annandale Lodge. Despite my father-in-law's aliments, both he and the family feel he is in the best place. He feels happy and secure, and we feel he is getting a good standard of care. Worthy of note is the friendliness of the staff and the improved menu.

My sincere thanks to you all.

My daughter-in-law entered Annandale Home whilst in the final stages of a terminal illness. The care that she received was the best that we could have for her. The staff were excellent, always respectful we could not fault one single moment. As the time came for her to leave this world the family were shown such kindness, which was way beyond the staff's normal duties. I would have no hesitation in recommending this home to anyone who wants to give their relatives kindness and good loving care. She was kept clean and comfortable to the end. Excellent home.

My mother was in the care of Annandale Lodge during March and April 2023. The care she received during this period allowed her to live her final days in comfort, surrounded by the most caring of people. Every person we had contact with was an absolute credit to both Annandale Lodge and the caring profession in general. The humanity and patience shown by all of the care staff were a great comfort to us and took away any concerns we had regarding her final days.

I felt very happy with my husband in the room he had and found the care touching and kind. Sadly he was there too short a time and I couldn't comment on the facilities and activities as he was not able to use them.

We would like to say how grateful we all are for the wonderful care Mum received from all the lovely staff at Annandale Lodge for Mum's end-of-life care. They were so attentive and caring and nothing was too much trouble for Mum or the family. Thank you all so much, superstars!

The team at Annandale Lodge looked after my father very well. An acquaintance had recommended Annandale Lodge as being a particularly caring environment and this was certainly our experience. The high standard of care is driven from the manager herself through the whole team. They are competent and gently persistent. They spend quality time with the resident. My father's mental health improved greatly while he was at Annandale Lodge. The standard of proactive care is very good. House calls from external service providers were arranged without us having to ask, without fuss and always with the appropriate level of consultation with Dad and the family. Great emphasis is placed on how the resident wants to live. Visits from family and friends are accommodated graciously and we could visit more frequently with the video option which is easy to use. We feel lucky to have found a place for Dad here.

My brother spent his final 4 months being cared for and nursed in Annandale Lodge until his death on December 2nd. He called it 'Home' for very good reasons. The sensitivity, care, and love shown to him amazed him and me. I would never have thought that so many people, regardless of their post in the home could show such compassion and understanding, care and love: the cleaners, chefs, carers, nurses, even the maintenance people and the manager, all knew my brother, understood him and what he needed, and were always so welcoming to me as I visited him. He was relaxed, secure, and safe as he faced his approaching death. I cannot express enough my thanks to these wonderful people for looking after my brother so compassionately and carefully and for facilitating my visits, including overnight ones, throughout his stay. After the pandemic, we seem as a society, to have forgotten the human care provided by people such as these. We should be standing and clapping for them again.

My friend was admitted to Annadale Lodge on Monday 14th November 2022 after being discharged from hospital. I cannot tell you how happy I was. The home was so nice, the room beautiful and the staff and manager were exceptional. They made her final days so happy. I will be eternally grateful to them all.

Dad had the fortune to take residency at Annandale Lodge this year and was looked after by the whole team as if they were looking after their own family. Every time I visited I was updated on how he was and everyone had time for dad, the rooms are very clean and the safety of the residence makes you feel confident he was in the best place. There are no negatives I can write just say I would never think twice about placing a relative of mine in Annandale as all staff excellent carers. Thank you team from myself and my family.

Mum became a resident at Annandale in March 2019. She was bedbound and had mild dementia. She was always treated with the utmost dignity and compassion. During the pandemic, we were encouraged to visit and talk to mum through the window. Luckily she was on the ground floor. The care she had was absolutely fantastic. As a family, we can't thank you enough. Being with her as she passed away was a privilege. Thank you for phoning us so we could get there in time.

From day one the staff have been absolutely wonderful, the manageress when on duty was always available. I felt that my mother was being looked after 100% and safe, especially through covid. They kept me fully informed of all things. I don't know how I would have coped if it hadn't been for Annandale, they came into my life when I was going through illness myself. Thank you.

Mum has been a resident in the home since May 2022. Right from the start, we were impressed with the level of professionalism from the Care Home Manager right down through the ranks. When addressing the residents, the staff always ask "Is it okay if I do...?" Or things like "I'm just going to... , is that ok?" Nothing appears to be too much effort for any of them and you'd think that Mum was their own Mum they were dealing with. The manageress is extremely professional, yet just as caring. Even though extremely busy, she has been very helpful in settling Mum in and only too happy to provide us with information/letters to assist us in dealing with Mum's affairs.

Absolutely delighted with the care and attention the staff gave my father during his stay at Annandale Lodge Care Home. The most supportive and diligent staff who were always in attendance and responded to my father's needs. They kept us informed of any changes in him and his treatment. Whilst there my father had nothing but praise for their good work. Thank you.

My mum was in Annandale Lodge for nearly four years after we moved her from a far less desirable care home, until her death in December 2021. From the beginning, the manager and staff instilled trust and confidence in us. Nurses, catering staff, entertainment officer, carers, cleaners, and laundry workers all did their very best to make mum feel at home and she was very happy there. I live in Australia and in the past two years because of the pandemic, instead of visiting three times a year, I have not been able to get back. The staff made every effort to help, patiently taking the phone to mum for my daily calls and as she became unwell, setting up the portal every day so I could see her and chat. Special shout out to the night staff who, because of the time difference, often got calls in the middle of the night. Despite this, they patiently chatted to me and updated me even though they were busy. Thank you one and all for allowing my mum's final years to be happy and fulfilling.

After a fall and a spell in hospital it became evident my father could no longer look after himself. He didn't want to be in the same Nursing Home as my mother but wanted to be near by. Annandale and one other home fitted the bill and had spaces. I saw the other home and despite a favourable CQC report it was totally unsuitable. In total contrast Annandale was really welcoming, the Manager was on hand to show me round. What is now my father's room was huge and had been newly decorated. My father has been a resident at Annandale ever since he was discharged from hospital 2 years ago. The staff are always friendly and are always laughing and joking with my father. The home is clean, well maintained and has been kept immaculately clean since Covid. He seems to be very happy there. I visited him this week and he continues to be contented there and the home seem to be dealing well with his increasing vascular dementia. Two years on I know I made the right decision in choosing Annandale.

My wife has been a resident for many years now, for her complete stay she has received excellent care from a team that has shown great compassion for all the residents. The home has a first-class manager and someone who ensures that all residents are treated like family. I cannot fault any of the service. Well done to the whole team.

My father was a resident at Annandale Lodge for 18 months until he passed away in Sept 21. During this period he received a very high quality of professional nursing care delivered with respect, compassion, kindness, and love. The team led by a brilliant manager always showed him sympathy during this extremely difficult time of pandemic lockdown and allowed him to retain his dignity throughout. They did an amazing job despite being understaffed and hampered by a lack of Government support.

Due to the Covid situation, I was unable to visit for the first 12 months of my father's residency. During that period the staff were always kind and patient and kept me fully informed of his changing medical condition. Unfortunately on only my second visit, it was to be there at my father's death. Throughout those 3 days, I became more impressed by the dedication and care of the staff and their sensitivity and professionalism. As each crisis arose, the teamwork with which the challenges were met was impressive. Everybody appeared to be highly trained and knowledgeable in their particular areas of responsibility and knew who and where to go to for assistance if required. I did not have a moment's concern about the treatment my father received in his last days. Not only did the staff care for my father, but they were also most solicitous towards my brother and myself, showing respect and concern for our privacy and well-being. I cannot thank them enough and recommend this home highly.

We are still very happy to have our mum cared for in the capable and friendly hands of all the staff at Annandale. We also appreciate how difficult it must have been for you all during covid lockdown and the still ongoing problems faced with it. It is especially reassuring to see certain staff able to calm mum down when she is in such an agitated state. Thankfully now not so frequently. Thank you once again for the wonderful and caring work you do for us relatives too!
