Dad has settled in very well, the staff, all staff, are kind and considerate. Dad is always smart and bathed and he has regular visits from GP's, opticians, barber and foot clinics. His room and ensuite is kept clean and tidy. He has his own artwork on the walls and lots of family photos. Dad participates
in the weekly activities, they seem great ranging from arts and crafts to singing and playing games. Whenever I visit a warm welcome is there.

Suggest CQC visit entirely unannounced to view on the nursing floor, rows of rooms without any human contact for long periods. A resident asked to get up but was refused and told she was 'on end of life care'. Broken bed table, extremely uncomfortable mattress, bed like a padded cell, food mushed carrot
and potatoes, only protein at all was baked beans. The urine bag had not emptied for days and inadequate drying left a sore axillary area, an altogether dreadful experience.

Very poor quality of care and nursing. What staff there are just wander around as if they have all the time in the world, despite alarms sounding or residents calling. The food can hardly be deemed appetising or nutritious. A catalogue of errors during my mum's respite stay, including not being showered,
not being given medication, wound dressing not done. When it was finally redressed one lovely nurse did a great job, the next time the bandage wasn't even taped so it all came unravelled.

We are always keen to hear feedback from relatives and so I was extremely sorry to hear your views.
I can reassure you that we monitor carefully when alarms ring in the home. We thoroughly review our records to ensure they have been answered promptly.
It is hard for our catering team to meet every resident’s preferences, but we try our best. I have to say that we do receive many very favourable comments about the food the team prepares.
How a resident is cared for and their own preferences for when they like to receive elements of their personal care has to be respected. However, we would not be able to attend every resident at exactly the time they prefer.
You will be aware from our conversations that the home did struggle to obtain the information it needed from the district nurses team, but that issue was soon resolved. You did feedback to us about your Mother’s preferences. My understanding from the team is that we dealt with this straight away.

This "Care" home is terrible! From the minute my uncle arrived at Beaumont Park we realised it was the worst decision we made to put him in there. The staff are undertrained, they don't treat the patients humanely and it is very short-staffed.
My uncle was not cleaned properly and when they did wash
him it was after lunch. The plates and utensils from lunch were still in his room 3-4 hours after he had eaten. It took them 2 weeks to fix the guard rail on his bed and it was only fixed after I spoke with social services and they assisted with the issue. Multiple times when we visited he had no water even though he had been asking for it.
On the positive side, some of the staff are very good but they are overworked and do long shifts. The facilities are good but only one of the common areas seems to be used.

Although my wife was only in the home for a week before passing, I found the care for her was excellent. The staff were brilliant and the room was well kept and the food was 100% better than hospital food. Overall I could not fault the home and staff.

My dad has minor nursing requirements currently but he is very elderly and frail and recently recovering from covid. Beaumont have been fantastic with his care. He has now made the decision to become a resident, and both he and the family are delighted with his decision.

My brother was looked after very well whilst in Beaumont Park Nursing Home. The staff were very kind and caring. One particular staff nurse helped with filling in the alliance allowance application form which I was very grateful for. A special thank you to staff who gave advice and help to me regarding
the pay meals etc. Also thanks to the staff who with her cheerful encouragement got my brother to take an interest in activities.

My mum spent three years at Beaumont Park before moving back to her home town. She was very well looked after by all the staff. The activity lady kept her entertained daily. The cook is amazing, she spent time with Mum and catered for her needs. The nurse is unbelievable, she is so good with the residents,
she is interested in people and makes people feel worthy which is so important when people do not get visitors often. My mum looked upon the nurse like a daughter and a connection to the outside world. She is compassionate and kind, she jollied Mum along when she was low and always had a laugh with her at the highs, one fantastic member of staff. Lastly, the lady who works in the office and I truly believe without her this place would not run as smoothly as it does. Again she was always so caring and approachable, she gets involved with everything in the care home from administration to hosting the Summer Barbecue, she is a complete all-rounder. Thank you to you all.
