My Mum sadly passed away earlier this month after nearly five years at Cherwell ward in Larchfield. I want to express my extreme gratitude for the care and kindness shown to her throughout her stay as she declined from needing 1:1 care and eventually was unable to speak or open her eyes. I'm so pleased
she was able to return to Larchfield from hospital for her final days. I would also like to thank the staff for the compassion shown to me during those last very difficult days.

Our Dad sadly passed away this week having been a resident of Larchfield for getting on for five years. We have always been extremely grateful to the staff for their ongoing care and compassion when looking after our Dad. Even when he was unable to move or speak you could see how happy and safe he felt
when members of staff interacted with him. We were able to get Dad back to the care home from hospital to see out his final days. The staff were overwhelmingly kind and considerate. They were so respectful of Dad, continuing to clean, shave and dress him, even when he was in the final stages of life. Their care and compassion shown to us as a family can never be truely expressed in words. We are just so grateful to everyone - from the reception staff, to those in the communities, and the events team. Thank you.

Larchfield House has become a second home to me, thanks to the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The team leaders, in particular, have played a crucial role. The management team is approachable and attentive. I cannot overstate the incredible impact that physiotherapy has had on my life since coming
to Larchfield House. When I first arrived, I was paralyzed and could only move my left fingers, struggling with communication issues. Thanks to the dedicated and friendly physiotherapist, I have made significant progress in improving my muscle strength and overall well-being. Through rehabilitation sessions, I have regained the ability to sit in a recliner chair, engage with others residents and even walk with a zimmer frame. My communication skills have also improved drastically, allowing me to connect with those around me. In conclusion, my experience at Larchfield House has been transformative, thanks to the exceptional care and support provided by the staff and management team.

My brother passed away in April this year. Throughout his 6+ years at Larchfield he could not have had better care from the Larchfield staff. They always went that extra mile. He was always kept spotless as was his room. Special attention was given to the food he was served, making sure it was puréed
and easy to swallow. His end of life care was simply THE BEST and the way everything was handled was amazing. Thank you Larchfield for looking after him with such respect and dignity.

My husband has been in Avon unit for 3 and half years, his care and nursing and friendliness of the staff to me has been fantastic. He is now on end of life and even though he can be very aggressive the staff still treat him with respect and kindness. Larchfield is always clean and never smells. They

Mum has lived at Larchfield for over five years. I'm going to say it was a big change for Mum and in the first few months she made the staff at Larchfield work hard (that was an understatement). Could not fault the care and attention Mum received throughout her three years at Larchfield House. Additionally, the team were always welcoming, smiling and positive whenever I visited, both at reception and those working on the floors themselves. During her stay, Mum had a number of health incidents
and complications. The ward team consistently responded swiftly to each and every one of these demands. At all times they did so with obvious compassion and were always willing to 'go the extra mile' to ensure mum's comfort and care was assured.

I was very impressed with the standard of care given to my uncle. The members of the team responsible for his welfare treated him with kindness and respect. They were keen to ensure that he was comfortable and had everything that he needed.

Although my father was only at Larchfield for a short period of time, 3 months, before he passed away the care he received at Larchfield was excellent. Due to his dementia he could be demanding at times but the staff were always caring, professional and friendly. They ensured my father was safe and

My grateful thanks go to all the wonderful carers in the Test Community at Larchfield House. They looked after my dear husband for the last year of his life with such kindness and compassion and always with smiling faces. They made me feel so welcome during my visits, nothing was too much trouble, they
gave me space and privacy with him when I needed it and good company and laughter on other days.
I could not have wished for a better place, it helped to ease my anxiety knowing this team of amazing people really cared from their hearts and I will never forget their loving kindness to him and to me.

For the clinical services manager, home manager and every single one of the wonderful team at Larchfield, thank you all so very much for looking after my mother for the last 9 years. It is the hardest thing to leave your mum in the care of others when you are many miles away, but I could not have wished
for a better place. You should be so very proud of everything you do. On my regular visits, companions would comment how lucky we were to have such a well-maintained home. When she finally left us earlier this month, your dedication and care and support to us was exceptional. You will always have our gratitude for your amazing care. Thanks again.
