Lovely and caring staff. Amenities are kept clean and comfortable.
The cuisine is also of a high standard, bearing in mind my brother's declining condition, the staff ensure all food is cut up to enable him to swallow.
Up until the end of January, Larchfields Covid screening has also been good; I
still, however, think this should continue.

My cousin with advanced dementia requiring 24 hour monitoring is cared for with the utmost compassion and dedication. I am always amazed by the patience shown by all staff and I am regularly telephoned if there is any change in condition, which is inevitable given the severity of her illness. I have

My mother-in-law has been a resident at Larchfield House for over a year. The staff are fabulous and treat her with respect and dignity. She has various issues and they deal with them in a very professional way and are extremely caring and patient with her. She is safe and well looked after and we feel
secure in the knowledge that we can trust the wonderful team to look after her in our absence. I cannot fault the staff and the services that they offer and I cannot praise them highly enough. Thank you so much Larchfield House for taking such good care of her.

My father has been a resident for five months and he has settled in so well. He came from another care home and we have noticed a significant improvement in him since being there. The staff are all so friendly and caring and have really taken the time to get to know dad. They take very good care of
him and he has had much fewer falls since being at Larchfield (he is high risk).

My beautiful wife has been in Larchfield House since the 17th October 2015 until now. Her needs are extremely high. She cannot walk, talk, communicate feed herself or do anything. Her cognitive needs are extremely high. I have visited my wife practically every day since she’s been in Larchfield House,
well at least 9 out of 10. Excluding the time of the Pandemic when visiting was restricted.
The care she has received from the first day has been fantastic and has never varied, it is still fantastic. I feel so grateful and privileged to have got my wife into Larchfield. I couldn’t fault it. There cannot be many more jobs more challenging than running a Care Home 24/7 and its needs, but all management and wonderful dedicated Carers do such a fantastic job. And this does not go unnoticed. Thank you so much to you all you are so appreciated.

My dad was previously in another care home but due to the deterioration of his dementia, they were unable to care for him. I am so grateful (beyond words) that Larchfield House has not only been able to take care of my dad they have managed his care as his condition continues to deteriorate. The staff
are absolutely marvelous I cannot rate them highly enough. I would recommend Larchfield House - they go above and beyond in the care of my dad.

While we know lack of staff sometimes can effect everything, so far they have managed to be able to cope with the situations arising. All the staff seem to me are friendly and only too pleased to offer us a tea or coffee while bringing mum her tea and biscuits.

Larchfield House has provided my mother with specialist dementia care for almost two years. Whilst there have been occasional disputes with their management due to restricted access to mitigate Covid risks, I have always been pleased with their prompt responses and openness. Thankfully the COVID access
situation has improved since September 2021. The community is divided into smaller groups. This has the advantage of regularly seeing the same staff – I am always impressed that they dress smart and are courteous to residents and visitors. More importantly, they deliver compassionate care respectful of their resident’s needs. The building and gardens were redeveloped from 2020 to 2021, and I hope the gardens will be a much-used outlet for residents in the summer months of 2022. A relatives portal gives a detailed account of what happened to your family member that day – medically, socially, perhaps a note that a follow-up is needed. I’m impressed by the transparency and professionalism.

A very positive experience of Larchfield Care home. Dad is being cared for very well and we are updated on his condition and care when we visit. The portal is a godsend as it is very easy to see what Dad has been up to and how he is doing at any time of the day.

George is a qualified nurse who began his career with the Ambulance Service in 2005. He moved to the UK in 2008 and started as an NHS Nurse. Over the years, George has accumulated significant experience in various roles, including Prison Charge Nurse, District Nurse, Clinical Service Manager, Home Manager, Senior Operations Manager, Troubleshooter, and Interim Home Manager. His career also includes positions in higher education as an Academic Director and, most recently, as a Home Manager at Thames Hospice. Myra currently serves as our Clinical Compliance Manager.
