A very positive experience of Larchfield Care home. Dad is being cared for very well and we are updated on his condition and care when we visit. The portal is a godsend as it is very easy to see what Dad has been up to and how he is doing at any time of the day.

I visit at least once a week to see my aunt and from the moment I step inside and speak to the receptionist nothing is too much from a simple opening of a door to a cup of tea. The staff are extremely helpful and have a genuine caring nature about them, this is also the feedback that I get from my auntie.
Larchfield House is a wonderful home. I just wish there were more like it out there.

My husband is in his third respite visit and seems to settle well (after initially being indignant at being taken away from home). If he ever has to go into a home permanently I would certainly choose Larchfield House.

All the staff have been very welcoming and caring ever since my husband had to come here after a really distressing six-week stay in hospital. They are always aware of a residents need for assistance and are very patient and courteous in often extremely difficult situations. They respond readily to
any queries and will give clear explanations about health issues, welfare, nutrition, behaviour and other agencies involved in my husbands care and well being.

I like the breakdown into small communities and the level of staff to residents is better than in many care homes. However, the outstanding feature of Larchfield House is the performance of the staff. They are exceptionally attentive to the needs of those in care and they even anticipate my needs as
well as those of my wife. Another strong feature of the staff is that they are a team who actively support each other.

Staff are extremely helpful and friendly, going above and beyond. A person-centred homely environment and very supportive of both residents and family/friends.

Larchfield is an excellent home providing everything my mother-in-law requires. Facilities available are excellent., all staff are approachable, friendly and responsive, nothing seems too much trouble.
Management clearly instils confidence in the staff and keep them motivated in what are difficult
circumstances looking after residents.
We could not be happier to have my mother-in-law in this home. Thank you.

I am very grateful for the kind care given to my mother by all the staff at Larchfield House.
Their compassion is remarkable. Nursing staff are skilled. I feel that my dear mother is in good hands as she nears the end of her life.
I am particularly impressed by the good teamwork, good communication
and careful listening to the needs and vulnerabilities of the patient (and daughter).

We are extremely pleased with the care that mum receives at Larchfield House. The professionalism of all the staff is exemplary - from the owner, managers, all the carers and the office staff. We feel that mum is treated with dignity and is dealt with in a kind, friendly manner - even on the occasions

My mother has been a resident at Larchfield House for 2 and a half years. In that time, she has always been cared for well.
I have noticed, however, that in that time, the care home has improved considerably. Reception is more welcoming and the food is improving all the time.

George is a qualified nurse who began his career with the Ambulance Service in 2005. He moved to the UK in 2008 and started as an NHS Nurse. Over the years, George has accumulated significant experience in various roles, including Prison Charge Nurse, District Nurse, Clinical Service Manager, Home Manager, Senior Operations Manager, Troubleshooter, and Interim Home Manager. His career also includes positions in higher education as an Academic Director and, most recently, as a Home Manager at Thames Hospice.
