Austen House’s specialised Memory Lane Community (for people living with dementia) was refurbished in Summer 24. The team have also been awarded certificates by the Alzheimer's Society for passing a course that helped with enhancing their understanding of dementia. It involves improved insight into dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, and learning that feelings matter most.

When I arrive from...
When I arrive from hospital, someone tried to remove my wound dressing for a photo. The hospital notes indicated it should not be tampered with. On discharge my prescription included some strong painkillers, I expected to be offered them regularly but sometimes had to ask for them. I do not know what the best regime would be.
