Woodbury House Care Home cares for residents, some of whom may have sensitive care needs, such as memory loss and dementia.

The home provides residential, nursing, dementia, respite, and palliative care, and will work with residents to develop a personalised care plan that will include everything from hobbies, exercise and dietary preferences, taking into account any health issues. This will determine the level and type of care individuals receive. This can vary from minimal residential care to full support.

Located in a scenic area of Berkshire, Woodbury House is a comfortable and friendly service in which to spend a retirement, with mature gardens and its own summer house. A team of versatile care workers also extend their expertise to respite care in order to assist members of the local community who are full-time carers themselves.

Trained chefs prepare a varied daily menu to give a choice of tasty, nutritious meals.

The recreation and activities team oversee everything from pet therapy and reading club, to music exercises and knitting.

Key calendar events are always made extra special at the home, because they enjoy any excuse for a party. The activities co-ordinator works with residents and relatives to make sure there is something for everyone.

The care home is always very welcoming and staff always happy to help. My grandparents are very happy here and when my nan passed staff were so supportive. Nothing is too much trouble.

As I live a long way away I usually visit my friend and have the meals with him in the restaurant. I stay locally in a B&B so manage to have 3 full days with him. What I have seen in that time is a remarkable change in the resident I visit. Gone is the frightened/worried person he was. So lovely to
see and thanks to the staff here he has improved so much in health and happiness.

I am extremely happy with the care my grandad receives. I know he is being well looked after and trust the staff 100% to do what is best for him. Woodbury House is always clean and tidy. The staff always warm and welcoming. There are many activities on offer for the residents and family are encouraged

My mother became a resident at Woodbury House after her previous nursing home closed. Mum settled in very well and was happy in her new surroundings from the start. The home is well-appointed and very comfortable. Set in beautiful grounds. All the staff are very kind and proficient. Residents are provided
with a range of activities and regular events involving family and friends. It is an excellent residential/nursing home.

My dad has been here for 10 weeks and I'm so pleased with how quickly he has settled. The staff are so kind and caring, treating the residents with so much respect. It feels such a happy and fun environment when you come to visit with nothing being to much trouble. I feel as if I'm visiting Dad at home
and not in a home. So glad that he chose it.

I visited a number of care homes for my mother and Woodbury House was my first choice. From the moment I entered it, I felt very comfortable.
Staff friendly, helpful and always professional. Pleasant and comfortable communal areas. Care is taken to create a homely atmosphere. Tasteful furnishings
and relaxing outdoor areas. Interesting activities. Visitors always made welcome. Staff always have time to talk and discuss any issues.
Nice community feel amongst the residents. Staff always willing to adapt and try new things to accommodate any particular requirements and always very pro-active in this regard. My mother has settled very well into life at Woodbury House and I have found the whole experience very positive.

Mum was only here for a short time but the care and love she received was fabulous, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Not only were the staff so kind to mum but their support and special cuddles they constantly gave us helped us through this sad and emotional time. We would highly recommend
this wonderful nursing home.

My mum was only in Woodbury House for a year but she was looked after exceptionally well. Mum could be bossy but the staff were very caring and clearly showed how much they cared for her and our family. At the end of her life, the utmost respect was shown to mum and our family. The staff made sure we
were cared for too. I can't speak highly enough of Woodbury House and their knowledge and understanding of dementia and the journey through dementia.

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2023

Jade Allwood is the Registered Manager for Woodbury House and has been with Woodbury since March 2023. Jade has been a registered manager in other homes for 5+ years and has a wealth of knowledge.


Jade is very passionate about ensuring there is a high standard of care and service in the home. She is very proud of the home since she joined and is excited for the future of the home as well.


Outside of work, Jade enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and reading.


In the past, Jade has been an air cadet and has even learned to fly a plane. This is one of Jade’s greatest achievements, alongside her two children.
