There are 39 comfortable single rooms and 10 double rooms, tastefully furnished, most with en- suite facilities. Each has colour television and resident/nurse call systems, as well as full internal and external telephone facilities.
A varied activities programme caters for residents with different hobbies and interests such as: arts & crafts, exercise classes, musical activities, cooking, days out, gardening and visits from animals.
Burnham Lodges benefits from a bright conservatory, communal lounge and a dining room to enjoy the fully inclusive homemade meals.
Also on offer at Burnahm Lodge is a hairdressing salon, access to video calling to stay in touch with family and friends and a fully inclusive laundry service.

As soon as I entered this care home I knew this was the place for my husband who had lost all mental capacity but needed specialized, loving care. There was just a lovely warm, busy and friendly atmosphere from the staff and residents and the environment was impressive with well decorated spacious...
The home has a lot going on throughout the day and everyone is encouraged to participate in activities in the two day rooms or go out on local day trips. I would definitely recommend this home and thank everyone for making my husband's last days so comfortable and happy.

With regard to the conservatory, we do have a ventilation system in place, but we will ask the maintenance team to check the windows; however, due to health and safety requirements, all windows are fitted with restrictors, so their opening is limited.Thank you for your feedback regarding food and drinks. Staff were moving in and out of the conservatory, but moving forward we will ensure that there is always at least one staff member present at all times. If you have another other concerns please do not hesitate to contact the home manager, who will be more than happy to assist you.

For reassurance to families: Staff meetings are held by department only, so nurses or carers are always on duty. A staff member is always appointed to respond to call bells and resident needs during meetings. Our lounge is continuously staffed, as we support residents requiring 1-to-1 care. The comfort and dignity of our residents are always our highest priority, and we encourage anyone with concerns to contact us directly so we can respond openly.

My name is Daria, and I’ve had the privilege of working at Burnham Lodge Nursing Home for over two years. I’m excited to support Burnham Lodge as a Deputy Manager and continue growing in my career. I've been a nurse for eight years, throughout my career, I’ve worked extensively in the learning disability and dementia care sectors, which has fueled my passion for providing person-centred care.
I love bringing smiles to people’s faces through outstanding care, which keeps me motivated every day. I’m particularly passionate about dementia care and wanted to work for an organisation where ‘people matter’.
