Since Aunty Val, has been in the home, it has been lovely to visit her and so different from visiting her at home when we had to do things rather than spend quality time with her. The activity ladies are so lovely - Christina is always so helpful and its so nice to have something going on all the time.
Thank you very much for your lovely review. It's a pleasure to look after your aunt and we are so happy that Burnham Lodge made a positive change in your family life. I will share your kind words with the team. I'm sure they will be as happy with your experience at Burnham Lodge.
Nothing is too much trouble, and dad's needs are always attended to in a professional and caring manner.
He is treated like a member of the family, which is how the care home feels whenever we visit.
Thank you to all of the amazing staff.

Thank you so much for your lovely review. It is a great pleasure to look after your dad and I am pleased you feel welcome in our home when you visit. I will pass on your kind words to the whole team here at Burnham Lodge.
The care was good and my husband was well looked after with one to one care. He was always well turned out, clean and nothing was too much trouble. Although he was wheelchair bound and unaware what was happening around him, the carers ensured he was out of his room and joined in with the activities scheduled for the day or was out in the impressive grounds during the warmer weather.
The home has a lot going on throughout the day and everyone is encouraged to participate in activities in the two day rooms or go out on local day trips. I would definitely recommend this home and thank everyone for making my husband's last days so comfortable and happy.

Downside was the air quality in the conservatory with so many people in there, and unable to open the window to let in some cool fresh air. Also there was no supervision of the food and drink.
Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We are pleased to hear that you and your mother had a great time at the Halloween party at Burnham Lodge. With regard to the conservatory, we do have a ventilation system in place, but we will ask the maintenance team to check the windows;...

Amazing afternoon tea for Macmillan and the residents love it! Thank you!
Thank you for attending the afternoon tea for Macmillan Cancer Support. We are glad you enjoyed yourself and we welcome your support.
1) Callous
2) Not putting resident's needs first
3) Not leaving at least one member of staff on duty during meeting.
Would not recommend this company or home.
We take all feedback seriously, though in this case we do not believe the account reflects what happens in our home. Our records show no such incident, as described, occurred. For reassurance to families: Staff meetings are held by department only, so nurses or carers are always on duty. A staff...
Staff are excellent in their compassion and understanding.
There is always a wide range of activities going on including days out with no pressure to join in.
The house is stunning with 2 conservatories with beautiful grounds and garden which my mum particularly enjoys.
Mum has a lovely room with a view that she adores watching wildlife.
It was mum's birthday a few days ago and we had a afternoon tea with family which was fantastic and all arranged smoothly.
The food is wonderful and mum who is a picky eater is very happy.
It's taken time to get to this position but with the help of all the staff we are beginning to feel much more relaxed in handing over mum's care and being able to enjoy family time with her again.
Thoroughly recommend.

Meet the Team (2)

Welcome to Burnham Lodge, a home where no goal is unachievable. As part of Hartford Care, Burnham Lodge is a place where all of us, staff, residents, and visitors, can experience warmth and comfort.
I am extremely proud to be a part of the Hartford Care family and privileged to lead a team of committed and professional people who truly go the extra mile to fill the lives of our residents with happiness, fun, and purpose.

My name is Daria, and I’ve had the privilege of working at Burnham Lodge Nursing Home for over two years. I’m excited to support Burnham Lodge as a Deputy Manager and continue growing in my career. I've been a nurse for eight years, throughout my career, I’ve worked extensively in the learning disability and dementia care sectors, which has fueled my passion for providing person-centred care.
I love bringing smiles to people’s faces through outstanding care, which keeps me motivated every day. I’m particularly passionate about dementia care and wanted to work for an organisation where ‘people matter’.
At Burnham Lodge, my positivity and enthusiasm are not only supported but encouraged, and that makes all the difference.
While some days can be challenging, I always find moments that remind me why I love working in care—whether it’s a resident’s smile, hearing their life stories, or sharing an emotional moment with a colleague.
I’m excited to continue developing in this rewarding field and make an even greater difference in the lives of those I care for.
