Very best regards.
Thank you so much for your lovely review of Burnham Lodge. It was our pleasure to care for your mother following her stroke. We shall pass on your wonderful comments to our deputy manager and senior nurse with whom you spoke several times. Do keep in touch and let us know how your mother is getting on back in her home.
I would like to thank all staff, mostly during these difficult times, who have looked after my mother-in-law so well and been so kind to all of us. It's a hard and sometimes ungrateful job and I admire your resilience. I very much appreciate your help, we all do, and you made a big difference to us all. A big thank you and all the best. Keep safe and take care. We will be in touch to demonstrate how grateful we are to all of the staff, from cleaners, carers, to management. May life treat you well.
Thank you so much for your fantastic review of Burnham Lodge. Our wonderful team there will be so heartened by your kind comments about the way we are caring for your mother-in-law during these very challenging times. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
Once mum settled in she has been happy and made a few friends. The home itself and the grounds are beautiful. During the Covid-19 crisis, garden visits have been made available.
Thank you so much for your lovely comments about Burnham Lodge. We are all delighted your mum is happy in our care and is making some friends. We are so lucky that we have such a beautiful garden in which you have been able to visit her safely. We look forward to welcoming you into our home when it is safe again to do so.
Mum has been very happy in Burnham Lodge. She is well cared for and the staff are very helpful and friendly.
Thank you so much for your wonderful comments about Burnham Lodge. It is our pleasure to care for your Mum. We will share your review with our lovely friendly Burnham team so they know how much you appreciate everything they are doing for her.
I was very happy with the care and communication from all staff relating to my father's wellbeing. Facilities were lovely and provided lovely surroundings for palliative care. The genuine care and compassion from the staff are to be commended.
Thank you so much for your lovely comments about Burnham Lodge. We are so glad you are pleased with the way in which we cared for your father and how we communicated with you to keep you informed about his wellbeing. However, we would be very grateful you could give us some feedback about how we...
We feel very fortunate that my mother is at Burnham Lodge. It is a lovely home, set in peaceful and beautiful grounds, and with incredible staff. My father and father-in-law were also residents and so we have the first-hand experience of how well the staff have looked after our parents' various and progressive needs. The care, patience, kindness and humour shown by the staff is exemplary, which means we have had confidence, during the lockdown months when we couldn't visit, that Mum would continue to be well cared for. We can't begin to imagine how much more difficult the staff's work must have been with all the lockdown and Covid-19 challenges, but we do know, now that we have been able to visit Mum in the garden, that she is looking really well and happy. Well done to all the team and thank you.
Thank you so much for your glowing review of Burnham Lodge. It has been a challenging time for all our team to ensure your mother and the rest of the Burnham family remain safe, well and happy during the lockdown. We are so fortunate to have our glorious garden where you have been able to meet your...
Thank you, Burnham Lodge, for all you did for Dad.

We hope he settles into his new home. We shall share your kind words with all our lovely team so they are aware of how much you appreciate everything they did for him.
We are extremely happy and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this home.
Thank you so much for your wonderful words about Burnham Lodge. It has been our pleasure to care for your Mum since she joined our Burnham family in April, and we are so glad you are happy with the way in which we are looking after her. We look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful home once the restrictions are lifted. We shall share your lovely review with all our brilliant Burnham team.
Of course, the visits have had to change due to the virus but the staff have managed to arrange “garden visits” for us to see mum. It was so good to see her looking so well and sporting a new hair cut that one of your wonderful staff had given mum with our permission.
The family would live to say thank you to everybody for all their hard work, especially during the last few months.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. It has been our pleasure to welcome your mum into the Burnham Lodge family at this very challenging time. We are so pleased that you like her new hairdo and the fact she is thriving in our care. We shall pass on your thanks and appreciation to our Burnham Lodge team who have been looking after her.
Mum has been at Burnham Lodge for four months now and seems to be really happy there and has settled in well. All the staff are lovely, kind and caring and she has been very well looked after. We are especially thankful to the staff for making Mum's birthday such a special, happy occasion in March. Burnham Lodge is in a lovely location, surrounded by woods and has recently been beautifully renovated. The grounds are large and the gardens are stunning. It's been hard not to be able to visit Mum during the lockdown, but being able to see her twice on FaceTime was brilliant and really reassuring. Thanks to all the staff at Burnham Lodge during these extremely difficult times, your hard work and dedication is very much appreciated by all the family.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review of Burnham Lodge. It's our pleasure to look after your Mum and we are delighted she has settled in so well with us. We loved celebrating her birthday and we hope she loves our new-look home with its beautifully refurbished rooms. We look forward to...
My mother has been in your home since March 2020 and during this difficult time for the staff due to isolation of residents and family etc not being able to visit, all of the staff have been first class and the care my mother has received could not have been better. The staff have kept in touch regarding how she has settled in and we have been fortunate that we can speak to her on a regular basis. Not seeing her was difficult but the staff taking the time to add photos on the Burnham Care Facebook was a lovely action so both the family and friends could see how well she was. My sister and I both agree that without the care she has received in your home we doubt she would be with us today. A big thank you to all the staff at Burnham Lodge you have been kind, caring and considerate and we could not wish for mum to be anywhere else.
What a lovely review of Burnham Lodge. Your mother came to us at a very challenging time but it is our priority to ensure all our residents stay safe and secure in our care at all times. Keeping in touch with loved ones and relatives has been extremely important, and using social media is another...
The staff are all first class and I am exceedingly grateful for all they did for my beloved mother, right through to the very end. I thank you all each and every one of you, you are fantastic.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review of Burnham Lodge. It was our pleasure to look after your mother, and we are delighted you have so many happy memories of her time with us, especially on Christmas Day. Our brilliant Burnham team will really appreciate your thanks and kind words, especially at this very challenging time.
Always very inviting and friendly to all visitors. The refurbishment has made the home very welcoming with a warm environment. My friend seems very happy here and has made many friends.
Thank you so much for your very positive comments about Burnham Lodge. We are so glad you like the recent refurbishments. The residents were involved with the choosing of the furniture and colour schemes for the communal areas so that they can live in an environment in which they feel comfortable...
Without exception, all the management and staff I have come across have been caring, attentive, and understanding. They have also shown to be professional and highly competent in their roles, and have managed to alleviate my fears and worries about putting my mother into a nursing home.
The staff and management make It feels more like a 'home' than a care home, and if I or my mum have had any special requirements they have been happy to accommodate these. My mum is very fussy about which food she has and the times she eats, and the staff have offered her different foods at the times she wants it, even in the middle of the night!
Before this permanent move, my mum has been in a number of homes on a short stay basis before; and this is by far the best.
I was so worried about moving Mum to a care home that I put it off, but I do feel confident that she is well looked after at Burnham Lodge.
Thank you so much for your kind words about Burnham Lodge. We are delighted that you are so happy with the care and attention your mother is receiving from our wonderful team. Our aim is always to make residents, and indeed their families and loved ones, feel as if they are at home and that you are...
A lovely home with caring staff who looked after my godfather to a very high standard. He enjoyed his time at Burnham Lodge and I was always pleased to see how happy he was. The staff were all excellent, really caring and supportive and made his time here very enjoyable with high standards of care and nursing. Communication was excellent and, overall, I could not ask for a better service.
What a lovely review. Thank you so much for your kind words about Burnham Lodge. It is so heartening to hear that your godfather enjoyed his time there and was happy during his stay. We shall pass on your comments to our wonderful Burnham team so they are aware of how satisfied you were with their high standards of care for your loved one.
My wife took up residence in Burnham Lodge early in October and the carers and nurses there have succeeded in making her comfortable in her new surroundings in a friendly, efficient and good-humoured way. There is good feedback between all staff and family members which is much appreciated. There is a happy atmosphere at the lodge and we are pleased that it was our choice for her nursing home.
Thank you so much for your lovely comments about Burnham Lodge. We are so glad you feel you made the right choice for your wife in making the Lodge her nursing home and that you are happy with the way she is being cared for in its friendly, happy atmosphere.
Burnham Lodge is situated in a wooded area and has well-tended lawns and is surrounded by beautiful ancient trees. The household and nursing staff are kind and attentive to the needs of the old and infirm people in their care and the lodge is clean and warm. To sum up, I must say that I felt safe and secure at all times during my stay. My sincere thanks to all the staff at Burnham Lodge.
Thank you so much for your lovely review of Burnham Lodge. We are so pleased you felt safe and secure during your stay, and that you enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. We shall pass on your thanks to all the staff there.
Mum came to Burnham Lodge in May 2019 and due to finances (Social Services) has to be moved in October 2019. The care mum had at Burnham Lodge was excellent as she needed 24/7 care. The staff managed to put the family at ease regarding care as this was a big step. Mum was very well looked after and seemed to thrive. I just hope the next care home is as good at caring.
Thank you for your comments. We are so glad that your family felt reassured and that you were happy with the care your Mum received at Burnham Lodge.
My brother was very reluctant to move into a care home. The staff have made this change as smooth as possible for him and he has settled in extremely well. All the staff are very friendly and caring and assist him and myself at every opportunity.
Thank you so much, for taking the time to write such lovely comments about your brother settling in with us at Burnham Lodge. We are fully aware that a move into a care home is a very big decision to make. It's very heartening to know that you and your brother are happy with the care and assistance you are both receiving now you are both part of our Hartford Care family.
My mother is well cared for. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Thank you for your review, Lesley. We are so glad you are happy with the way in which your mother is cared for at Burnham Lodge, and that you find our team there friendly and helpful.

Meet the Team (2)

Welcome to Burnham Lodge, a home where no goal is unachievable. As part of Hartford Care, Burnham Lodge is a place where all of us, staff, residents, and visitors, can experience warmth and comfort.
I am extremely proud to be a part of the Hartford Care family and privileged to lead a team of committed and professional people who truly go the extra mile to fill the lives of our residents with happiness, fun, and purpose.

My name is Daria, and I’ve had the privilege of working at Burnham Lodge Nursing Home for over two years. I’m excited to support Burnham Lodge as a Deputy Manager and continue growing in my career. I've been a nurse for eight years, throughout my career, I’ve worked extensively in the learning disability and dementia care sectors, which has fueled my passion for providing person-centred care.
I love bringing smiles to people’s faces through outstanding care, which keeps me motivated every day. I’m particularly passionate about dementia care and wanted to work for an organisation where ‘people matter’.
At Burnham Lodge, my positivity and enthusiasm are not only supported but encouraged, and that makes all the difference.
While some days can be challenging, I always find moments that remind me why I love working in care—whether it’s a resident’s smile, hearing their life stories, or sharing an emotional moment with a colleague.
I’m excited to continue developing in this rewarding field and make an even greater difference in the lives of those I care for.
