Burnham Lodge, offering nursing, residential and day care is housed in a splendid building dating from about 1900.

Located between Burnham, Maidenhead and Beaconsfield, it has been carefully and sympathetically restored to recreate a country house atmosphere, while providing a comfortable environment where it is easy for residents to continue to enjoy their individual way of life throughout their retirement.

Fully carpeted and centrally heated, the house offers a warm welcome. The lounge has magnificent views of the gardens. The newly decorated dining room is vibrant and welcoming to provide a delightful setting in which to enjoy freshly cooked meals, every day.

There are 39 comfortable single rooms and 10 double rooms, tastefully furnished, most with en- suite facilities. Each has colour television and resident/nurse call systems, as well as full internal and external telephone facilities.

A varied activities programme caters for residents with different hobbies and interests such as: arts & crafts, exercise classes, musical activities, cooking, days out, gardening and visits from animals.

Burnham Lodges benefits from a bright conservatory, communal lounge and a dining room to enjoy the fully inclusive homemade meals.

Also on offer at Burnahm Lodge is a hairdressing salon, access to video calling to stay in touch with family and friends and a fully inclusive laundry service.

My mum has been staying in Burnham Lodge Care Home for the last three years. I am very pleased with the level of care she is receiving and also the communication I get from the home. Her requirements are very complicated and the staff find ways to manage her care well which I wasn't able to provide
for her anymore.
I am incredibly grateful to all the carers looking after my mum and would not hesitate to recommend Burnham Lodge to anyone looking for residential care.

My mother was lucky and blessed to come and live in Burnham Lodge. First days she was very nervous and also weak, but now whenever I come, my mother's personality and her strength has returned. She always looks happy and relaxed and very confident that staff come and help to offer support plus laughter
to her daily life. I feel very welcome and now I am less worried about Mum because she feels valued and her health is evident.

My mother was brought to Burnham Lodge for nursing care following a four-week stay at the hospital, and from the outset, she has received loving care and attention. All the staff are willing and happy to help with

I cannot speak highly enough of this home. Although my father's stay was short, he was excellently looked after. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, whatever their job was, nurse, carer, reception, even the decorators. I thoroughly recommend this care home.

Thank you for the opportunity for me to say how very grateful we are as a family that you have all looked after my dad so well since his admittance. All the staff have been very caring and helpful and the general feeling about the place is good and positive. The place is always very clean and pleasant
to be in, which is helped by the staff, who are always ready to help and are so considerate. A special thank you for being such a kind, caring person goes to the deputy manager, she is an angel who really makes us relatives feel like we are being considered in the process of losing our loved ones. The first time I met her at Wexham Park hospital, I thought, yes, she is a good person and all the family think the same. Thank you also to the carers who have the difficult job of looking after our loved ones and the chef who does everything he can to give my dad what he wants to eat. Well done to all of the staff.

My wife was admitted to Burnham Lodge. The assessment was thorough and detailed. All aspects of activities of daily living, medical and cultural needs were assessed comprehensively. The staff, including the manager, were very friendly and professional in their approach, whilst maintaining a homely attitude.
We discussed her dietary needs with the chef, who was very accommodating. A very high standard of care is delivered by one and all.

Since changes in management-level staff, there has been a great improvement in the morale, activities, organisation, hygiene, and the general atmosphere at Burnham Lodge. My mother's room, though small, is clean and the framed photos and pictures from home are all mounted carefully on the walls. Staff
provide 24-hour care, popping in hourly at night to make sure mum is okay, and there is a mat by her bed that sends information to the office if she falls. A special mattress is provided for the less mobile and those in pain to prevent bedsores. Personal attention given to each resident seems to be a hallmark of the care. Instead of being a number, residents are individuals. The garden is lovely and most are quite accessible for wheelchair users. If each resident could be allocated a Key Worker, this would enable residents' personal needs and preferences to be known and dealt with even better than they are now. This may require more full-time and permanent staffing than is currently possible.

Firstly, impressed with the care of the gardens, then the inside of Burnham Lodge is very smart and welcoming! My mother was moved from hospital to Burnham Lodge for a temporary period. I had the opportunity of visiting her at Burnham Lodge and found the staff to be very professional, caring and patient. Staff were also pleased to speak on the phone. Burnham Lodge were very good in promptly letting me know of
any matters of concern with regard to my mother's health. The nursing home looked very clean, well decorated - her bedroom was very nice and overlooked part of the extensive grounds.

My name is Daria, and I’ve had the privilege of working at Burnham Lodge Nursing Home for over two years. I’m excited to support Burnham Lodge as a Deputy Manager and continue growing in my career. I've been a nurse for eight years, throughout my career, I’ve worked extensively in the learning disability and dementia care sectors, which has fueled my passion for providing person-centred care.


I love bringing smiles to people’s faces through outstanding care, which keeps me motivated every day. I’m particularly passionate about dementia care and wanted to work for an organisation where ‘people matter’.


At Burnham Lodge, my positivity and enthusiasm are not only supported but encouraged, and that makes all the difference.


While some days can be challenging, I always find moments that remind me why I love working in care—whether it’s a resident’s smile, hearing their life stories, or sharing an emotional moment with a colleague.


I’m excited to continue developing in this rewarding field and make an even greater difference in the lives of those I care for.
