We came to see our friend on St Patricks Day we had no idea that there was a party and we were made to feel very welcome by one staff member in particular. What a lovely, warm and welcoming place Burnham Lodge is... it feels like a very 'posh' family home. All the staff were warm and welcoming.

In 2003 we were looking for a residential home for my 94 year old stepfather & finally found Burnham Lodge. My mother & I instantly fell in love with the place, the setting & the friendly atmosphere. My stepfather spent his last six months here, & had excellent care. My mother spent her last two weeks here & I was with her as she slept her last sleep. If I cannot care for myself I have vowed that I will come to Burnham Lodge, where I will get the best care & be returned to health.
Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We are very happy to know that the team at Burnham Lodge were able to care for and support your step father and mother and that due to this care and support, along with the welcoming, friendly team and atmosphere, you, yourself enjoy the time you spend there. We would just like to say a huge thank you to one member of staff, in particular, and the home for attending and caring for my mother-in-law at my father-in-law's reception after his funeral on 10th January.
Thank you for taking the time to write this review. It is heartwarming to know that our team were able to care for and support your mother in law on the passing of your father in law and offer this support to your family at this difficult time. Please accept our condolences, your kind words will be passed to the team at Burnham Lodge.
My friend and I work for a homecare agency and we used to care for the resident before she came to Burnham Lodge. We cared for her in her own home and become very fond of her and loved caring for her so we have remained friends and also with the family. We have visited twice now and have been so impressed with the amazing customer service and very warm welcome, we even received lunch! We can clearly see how happy and relaxed our friend is.
Thank you for taking the time to write this review. It is lovely to hear that whilst visiting your friend you got to experience the hospitality and warm welcome everyone receives when visiting Burnham Lodge. Its is also heartwarming to hear that the care and support you gave your friend has...
My dad spent six weeks at Burnham Lodge - the staff were all professional, experienced, knowledgeable, kind, compassionate, caring, went above and beyond expectations. Food was perfect, absolutely loved this place and all the staff, from cleaners to carers, nurses and management, what an establishment, they should all be proud of the work they do. Promoting choice and independence. My dad will definitely return here if he needs to in the future, without a doubt. Honestly, this care home has exceeded the expected standards of care and my dad will miss you all.
Thank you for these lovely words. It is wonderful to hear how cared for and supported your dad was during his time at Burnham Lodge. Promoting choice and independence is paramount to Hartford Care so it is great to know that this is evident. We pride ourselves on our delicious, homecooked meals...
This was my first visit to Burnham Lodge. I was assisted for my visit by one nurse in particular. She immediately understood my job role as IMCA and was very helpful and accommodating. She was naturally very busy ensuring residents were looked after, and kindly took the time to help me to find the information to familiarize myself with the residents' relevant information that I needed. She was super friendly, professional and put me at ease during my visit. Thank you to that particular nurse and the team.
Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We are pleased to hear understanding and attentive staff were able to enable you to find everything you needed and that they did everything they could to put you at ease during your visit to Burnham Lodge. We will pass on these kind words to the nurse who assisted you and the team at Burnham Lodge.
All the staff have been fantastic, going above and beyond to understand and adapt to my mother’s changing care needs. They are caring, empathetic and compassionate. My mother's dignity is their priority and their care is always delivered with a smile. The team make the whole family feel welcome.

I knew as soon as I walked into Burnham Lodge that it was a special place; it was so welcoming and homely. From the outset, the whole team has been brilliant and I can't thank them enough for everything they have done to personalise my mum's care and to help her feel relaxed and happy in her new home. I am amazed by the variety of the activities programme and the beautiful grounds are the icing on the cake. After a stressful couple of months, it's such a relief to know my mum is being cared for with such respect and kindness.
Thank you for your kind review. We are so pleased you have received such a warm welcome from everyone at Burnham Lodge, and we're delighted your mum has settled in so well in her new home. We know how stressful it can be - trying to find the perfect home for a loved one, so we're glad we could help...
The staff are so friendly and respectful and have really got to know out dad so well with all of his funny traits! My brother and I are kept well informed of how he has been and we particularly enjoyed all of the Christmas activities which really showed how the staff went that extra mile for all residents and families. We are very fortunate that our dad is staying here and being looked after so well. Thank you.
At Hartford Care, the well-being of our residents is very important to us so it is great to hear how happy you are with the care your dad is receiving. Staff like to get to know each resident so the care and activities are centred to all residents and I am sure they will be pleased to hear that...
Excellent service all round from the whole team and making my parents both smile again after a hard time at their home before moving to you. Simply perfection and the smile on my parents' faces in your pictures, simply perfect, and made my Christmas, thank you loads.

My mum recently passed away at Burnham Lodge. I cannot express my gratitude for the care and kindness she experienced there. The staff were most sensitive and caring for Mum. They made myself and my sister at ease knowing Mum was in the best hands. Thank you so much.

My sister spent 2 weeks respite at Burnham Lodge. This was a completely new experience for us as she has always been cared for by family. She settled in well and this was down to the wonderful caring staff. They always took the time to see if she needed anything and always with a smile. We feel she was very well cared for and enjoyed her time there and this gave our family a much-needed break. Thank you all for making Burnham Lodge feel like a home from home!

My mother was brought to Burnham Lodge for nursing care following a four-week stay at the hospital, and from the outset, she has received loving care and attention. All the staff are willing and happy to help with my mother's needs, the rooms are clean, bright and suitably equipped, and the grounds are beautiful.

It's so gratifying when people like yourself take the time and trouble to give us feedback, and it's a real pleasure to pass these lovely comments on to the team at Burnham Lodge. Thanks again.
Mum was at Burnham Lodge for seven weeks. The staff were very caring, compassionate and professional. Sadly Mum passed away sooner than anticipated. The staff were very kind and made the last few days more peaceful and easier to bear.
We are so sorry for your loss. We feel very privileged to have been able to care for your mother in her last few weeks and it brings us all comfort to know she was made to feel comfortable by the team here at Burnham Lodge. Thank you for your kind words and we wish you all the best.
I cannot speak highly enough of this home. Although my father's stay was short, he was excellently looked after. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, whatever their job was, nurse, carer, reception, even the decorators. I thoroughly recommend this care home.
Thank you so much for your kind words about Burnham Lodge and the care your father received. We are extremely grateful for your recommendation and will share your lovely comments with our valued team members.
My mother was brought to Burnham Lodge in palliative care. She has been very well looked after and I feel confident that however long my mother has left, she will be comfortable and will be looked after. Thank you Burnham for the huge relief I feel.
Thank you for your review of Burnham Lodge and we are so pleased you are happy with the level of care your mother has been receiving, it's our pleasure to look after her.
Thank you for the opportunity for me to say how very grateful we are as a family that you have all looked after my dad so well since his admittance. All the staff have been very caring and helpful and the general feeling about the place is good and positive. The place is always very clean and pleasant to be in, which is helped by the staff, who are always ready to help and are so considerate. A special thank you for being such a kind, caring person goes to the deputy manager, she is an angel who really makes us relatives feel like we are being considered in the process of losing our loved ones. The first time I met her at Wexham Park hospital, I thought, yes, she is a good person and all the family think the same. Thank you also to the carers who have the difficult job of looking after our loved ones and the chef who does everything he can to give my dad what he wants to eat. Well done to all of the staff.
Thank you so much for your wonderful words about Burnham Lodge. We are so heartened to know you are happy with the way in which we have looked after your dad. We shall certainly pass on your thanks and appreciation to all our lovely team here, especially our deputy manager. They will be delighted with your recommendation and very positive feedback.

Meet the Team (2)

Welcome to Burnham Lodge, a home where no goal is unachievable. As part of Hartford Care, Burnham Lodge is a place where all of us, staff, residents, and visitors, can experience warmth and comfort.
I am extremely proud to be a part of the Hartford Care family and privileged to lead a team of committed and professional people who truly go the extra mile to fill the lives of our residents with happiness, fun, and purpose.

My name is Daria, and I’ve had the privilege of working at Burnham Lodge Nursing Home for over two years. I’m excited to support Burnham Lodge as a Deputy Manager and continue growing in my career. I've been a nurse for eight years, throughout my career, I’ve worked extensively in the learning disability and dementia care sectors, which has fueled my passion for providing person-centred care.
I love bringing smiles to people’s faces through outstanding care, which keeps me motivated every day. I’m particularly passionate about dementia care and wanted to work for an organisation where ‘people matter’.
At Burnham Lodge, my positivity and enthusiasm are not only supported but encouraged, and that makes all the difference.
While some days can be challenging, I always find moments that remind me why I love working in care—whether it’s a resident’s smile, hearing their life stories, or sharing an emotional moment with a colleague.
I’m excited to continue developing in this rewarding field and make an even greater difference in the lives of those I care for.
