The staff at Catherine Court Care Home are very caring.
My grandmother always looks clean, peaceful and happy. They remember to put her music on for her and her fan when required. The food always looks lovely and my grandmother seems to enjoy it. The staff always let us know of any concerns.

Thank you all very much for your care.

The care home is great, looks after my mum, does lots of activities, looks after and informs me if Mum has a fall or hurts herself. Staff are great, meaningful lifestyle and other staff, can't remember names, are great, take great care of Mum and me when I visit. Can't thank everyone enough for looking after her and me.

The main performance was clearly the support, kindness and attention the patient needed. The care and cleanliness of the patient were impeccable. The question of food, especially the help to choose, but also help in feeding the patient. The management was good at all times.

My mother has been in your home for approximately the last six months has been very well cared for she is very happy with all the carers and all the other staff.

There seems to be fewer carers at times.

I am very impressed with Catherine Lodge, and in particular, the staff. They interact and engage with my mother in a genuinely caring way, and nothing seems to be too much trouble. The home is really well designed for those with dementia and has a lovely relaxed and welcoming feel. Much to my surprise my mother has settled in very quickly and has even been getting involved in the regular activities. Catherine Court is obviously very well run and has lots of excellent and very well trained staff who really care.

All the staff at this home are wonderful. They really, really care - something that cannot always be said for those in the caring profession. Lovely residence for those needing looking after (thinking of booking myself in!).

This review covers a four-month period. Since both parents were admitted into a care home they have been very well looked after. The staff are extremely attentive and thoughtful, nothing is too much trouble. A couple of small teething issues with night staff but the management dealt with the problem very quickly. This care home is very friendly and our parents feel safe. A lot of effort and attention is placed on the daily activities to help keep minds active and young. We assessed four care homes before deciding on Catherine Court due to its friendly emphasis by management, entertainment, nursing and care staff. They have proved our selection right.

My uncle (aged 98) was only in Catherine Court for the four weeks prior to his death.

The overwhelming impression from the preliminary visit that my wife and I made to Catherine Court, and all subsequent visits to see my uncle, is of a well run, caring and friendly environment. Staff in the general living rooms were all engaged with the residents, and all had a large smile on their face when you approached them. My uncle had a pleasant, pain-free, comfortable stay at Catherine Court for the last four weeks of his life.

I am very impressed with this home for allowing my wife to move around at will.

The staff are kind and wonderful.

Catherine court is perfectly designed for Alzheimers’s, which my wife has. There is so much space for residents to be able to walk. Everybody from the receptionist to the cleaners are kind to my wife.

The caring staff are the backbone of this home. They always give their time and attention without hesitation. It is wonderful to see the residents response to the entertainments put on especially the singing. I find it hard to believe how much my husband enjoys this. This home has a steady stream of visitor and all are made welcome.

My mother has been in Catherine Court for the past 3 years. I am very pleased with the care my mother is given on a daily basis. I find the staff helpful, caring, interested and kind. Over time they have come to know my mother's likes and dislikes so are able to meet her needs effectively. I feel that I am regularly updated and kept informed. During my visits, it is not unusual for me to hear about something my mother has enjoyed and been involved as I walk into reception. Email communication on upcoming events is also very good. The staff take time to talk though and answer any questions or concerns I may have. Since being at Catherine Court my mother has particularly enjoyed musical activities and having her nails painted. I have valued her being taken out from time to time and have enjoyed seeing the photos of her enjoying the day when I have been unable to join in. So far outings have included Odds Farm, Garden Centre and Rest Home for Horses.

Corina Andreescu
Corina AndreescuJob Title:Home ManagerJoined: 2024

I have been working in the healthcare sector for over 20 years in the UK.

I have a nursing background in my home country, and I worked as a dental nurse and in leadership positions in dentistry for 15 years. Since 2018, I have worked in the care sector as a registered manager of residential and nursing homes. I decided to work for Care UK because it is an established care provider with a very good reputation that takes pride in its values and vision.

I have been a registered manager with the Care Quality Commission since 2010, and I am currently studying to obtain my BA (Hons) degree in Business and Management.

In a Home Manger role, a person should be very kind, caring, patient and nurturing towards all residents and colleagues. When I’m able to inspire others and reflect my kindness through everything I do, I feel proud of my role at Catherine Court.

My favourite part of the day is spending time interacting with the residents. I even participate in some of their daily activities and help the team whenever I can.

I have had many achievements throughout my career that I am proud of, however the highlight was when I managed to turn around a care home from being closed by CQC (rated Inadequate overall) to Good, in just six months.

When I’m not working, I absolutely love spending time with my cat, Alfie. I also like photography, reading, painting and travelling, and I have a keen interest in holistic therapies and spirituality.
