Catherine Court offers nursing, dementia and residential care for older people in an inclusive setting located in a peaceful residential area in High Wycombe.

The two-storey home is designed around a courtyard, and each bedroom is light and spacious, with en-suite facilities and all the furnishings residents need. Residents also benefit from lounges and dining rooms, an activity room, a sensory room and a quiet room.

The Lifestyle team ensures there’s always something happening at Catherine Court, with activities seven days a week. If a resident has a particular passion, they'll make sure they can indulge it. The chef-led catering team puts residents' favourite meals on the menu while also ensuring each individual receives the nutritional support they need.

Staff at Catherine Court made my fathers last days relaxed and worry-free. We knew he was in good hands and well looked after.
Staff always greeted us with a smile and an update of how Dad had been.
They were a huge support to all the family in the last weeks of Dad's life and genuinely cared about
all their residents.
Dad was always cared for in a professional and dignified manner and staff always gave you their time even when they were stretched and busy.

The new management has completely changed this care home. It made my visit to see my mum a totally different experience. She is no longer in a wheelchair all day sitting at a dining table. She is now sitting in a recliner chair in a sunny room.
The dining room now is a totally different room. Tablecloth,
mats, round tables and a vase of flowers. The staff smile and talk to you.
They now move the care patients to the dining room for lunch.
I am so pleased to see these changes.

Although mum has only been a resident for just under once month, she has settled in well. All staff are polite and helpful. I have no worries about leaving her at Catherine Court. The activities lady there is extremely good and I haven't seen mum laughing and enjoying herself for some time. Definitely
a place to be recommended.

My husband was only a resident for a very short while but during his stay he was well cared for and the family were always welcome when they visited him. The staff showed concern for his well-being and made every effort to make him as comfortable as possible.

Very happy with overall staff, office staff and carers. Very helpful.

Excellent care. Very thoughtful team and at long last my mother seems very settled.
This is the 3rd home we have tried and so far in terms of care, it is the best.

Would like staff to take more time to interact with residents. Often see them just sitting in a room not doing anything. Activities are provided sometimes and are good, especially music ones. Not many outings - possibly because of residents not well enough. Staff friendly to resident's relatives and
very supportive.

We will share your comments with the Lifestyle team - at Care UK, activities are a vital part of life in our homes and we realise how important they are for residents. We do run two activities every day, and our weekly activity plan is always displayed in reception –recently this has included such varied activities as karaoke, afternoon teas, pampering sessions and entertainers such as singers coming into the home. Of course, we would never force someone to take part in an activity if they did not want to, and recognise that some residents prefer one-to-one activities, which can be delivered in the privacy of their own room if this is where they feel more comfortable. I am also happy to say that we are in the process of organising a large summer outing, which we know both residents and the team at the home are very much looking forward to. Of course, at Catherine Court, we always welcome feedback from both residents as well as their friends and families, so if there is an activity you would like us to add to the plan then, of course, please do let us know and we will try our best to include this. My wife has been in Catherine Court for about a year. Whilst it is not the most modern of nursing homes, and in places it is a little 'sad', this is not a problem.
The level of care, love, kindness and dignity shown by all staff to my wife and other residents is of the highest standard.
My wife eats
well, drinks adequately and always looks clean and well cared for.
There are a good range of activities and the two activity coordinators show residents and families the same degree of kindness as they show to all the residents.
My wife is calm, free from agitation and though I cannot say if she is happy, she is certainly not unhappy. My appreciation and thanks go to all at Catherine Court.

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2024

I have been working in the healthcare sector for over 20 years in the UK.


I have a nursing background in my home country, and I worked as a dental nurse and in leadership positions in dentistry for 15 years. Since 2018, I have worked in the care sector as a registered manager of residential and nursing homes. I decided to work for Care UK because it is an established care provider with a very good reputation that takes pride in its values and vision.


I have been a registered manager with the Care Quality Commission since 2010, and I am currently studying to obtain my BA (Hons) degree in Business and Management.


In a Home Manger role, a person should be very kind, caring, patient and nurturing towards all residents and colleagues. When I’m able to inspire others and reflect my kindness through everything I do, I feel proud of my role at Catherine Court.


My favourite part of the day is spending time interacting with the residents. I even participate in some of their daily activities and help the team whenever I can.


I have had many achievements throughout my career that I am proud of, however the highlight was when I managed to turn around a care home from being closed by CQC (rated Inadequate overall) to Good, in just six months.


When I’m not working, I absolutely love spending time with my cat, Alfie. I also like photography, reading, painting and travelling, and I have a keen interest in holistic therapies and spirituality.
