There is no other home quite like Hamilton House. The standard of care is second to none. My mother is the happiest and healthiest she has felt in a long time! Nothing my mother asks for is ever too much trouble and every person from domestic assistant to the home manager is kind, attentive and supportive.
The one thing about this home is the atmosphere, there is a lot of laughter and happiness! Every resident I have come into contact with looks happy and relaxed. A real testament to the excellent care and home! Well done Hamilton House and thank you for all you do!

We had done everything we could to enable dad to remain in his home of nearly 70 years and faced the prospect of his move with anxiety. We have been so pleased with the outcome. We are confident that dad receives fantastic care from really genuine, dedicated staff who know him well and have taken time
to get to know him and who treat him and us with warmth and respect. We look forward to visiting and feel that he is part of a very special community. We have no hesitation in recommending Hamilton House and all its staff.

My mother visited the home for respite care. From the first encounter the whole team could not have been kinder. My mother loved being in the home and enjoyed every second of her stay. Not only was my mother treated with the highest level of kindness, so was her whole family and friends who visited
her! We were all made to feel welcome. A real home from home!

My elderly aunt became unwell very suddenly and needed urgent respite and recuperation care. Hamilton House exceeded our expectations in every way possible. The genuine interest for the residents in their care is shown by the outstanding attention to detail making sure individual needs are met and that
dignity and respect are at all times maintained. On top of the excellent care, the support shown to our family, help and guidance on navigating the services we needed to engage has been invaluable. I would thoroughly recommend Hamilton House, a truly outstanding care home.

It was obvious to all the family from our initial viewing and on all our subsequent visits, that all the management and staff at the home show extremely high levels of empathy and compassion both to our mother and to all of her relatives. It is readily apparent that the standard of cleanliness in the
home is excellent and the general ambience in the home, of the staff and the residents, is both calming and happy. Our mother has settled in quickly and is so happy in her new home; that has put us at ease and made us all so very happy. In truth, we feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful home, it's as if we have won the jackpot!

My sister has been in this home for two weeks now and I cannot believe the change in her already. We were both worried about her going into a home but Hamilton House is a home from home and we couldn't be more pleased.
The manager and staff are so friendly and accommodating and have done everything
they can to make sure she has settled in.
What an amazing home.

My Grandfather was admitted to Hamilton House for end of life care. The home went above and beyond what was expected to ensure Gramps was able to be admitted here promptly and without delay. My Gramps told us all he has never felt so happy and well cared for as he did in the last few weeks of his life
here. The end of life care shown to my Grandfather was more than I or my family could have imagined. My Grandfather had a great sense of humour and it was a pleasure to see him having a giggle with “the girls”. We cannot thank you all enough for everything you have done!

I visited my friend this week I haven’t seen him for a couple of months since he moved in. I am in awe of how kind and gentle the staff are at this home. I was greeted by a happy smiling member of staff. I was offered refreshments immediately. The activity lady was just leaving the room when I arrived
and my friend was still smiling. I was delighted to see my friend had plenty to drink especially during the heatwave. The delightful way in which the Manager was laughing with the staff and residents was uplifting. I will definitely be booking a bed here when I am ready.

I visited my aunt last month and I was blown away by the warm, homely atmosphere within Hamilton House. My aunt was previously in another care setting and the transformation in her now and how happy she is must be a testament to each and every person who works at this lovely place.

The care and love in this home is like no other. I am very happy with each and every visit I have had here. My brother, a man who is usually very serious, is smiling and even laughing with all the lovely ladies and men who work in the home. The one thing that is noticeable upon entering this home would
have to be the laughter and love. There would not be enough thanks to express my gratitude.

He, and we, are very grateful for the amazing care he is receiving in his lovely new home.

Mum was in for respite for three weeks. I can honestly say I have never met a nicer bunch of staff. The kindness and love that we felt from the time we walked in to the time we left was overwhelming. The manager and clinical lead were both so supportive and helped us and mum through the whole process.
We will definitely be re-booking in the future.

For the best part of two years I have visited this home and not once can I say anything other than excellent things! Each and every review is a testament to the love and support you all give to your residents and their nearest and dearest.
When my father was at the end of this life, the care and compassion
was beyond what I could comprehend. There was a day that the team actually came and sang to my father which made his day! There is a lot of laughter in this home and the love you feel is infectious!
In my father's final days of life, one of the nurses picked him fresh flowers from the garden and sat and read to him from his favourite book. One of the domestic assistants spent a little longer cleaning his room and pottering around talking to him, it is these things that I will remember! Thank you! I will be visiting soon with some biscuits for you all!

Current Review Score: 9.3 (9.311)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.3 (9.311) out of 10 for Hamilton House Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.7 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.641 for Hamilton House Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (60 Excellents x 5) + (31 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 92 Ratings = 4.641
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.67 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Hamilton House Care Home is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.8
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 46 registered maximum number of service users is 9.2. 8 Positive Reviews ÷ 9.2 = 0.87
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
