Stone House Nursing Home provides care and support to older people living in Aylesbury. The home was built in 1862 and is located in five acres of grounds.

Residents receive round the clock personal care and are assisted as much or as little as they like. They have open and evolving, digital care plans to provide individual, effective and reliable care. This provides peace of mind for residents and their relatives alike. Care plans are regularly monitored and are tailored to each resident's needs and involve family members, friends, and medical practitioners, who help to ensure the correct level of care and support is provided.

All bedrooms are fully furnished, come equipped with an electric bed, SMART television, call bell, telephone and Sky TV facility if desired. The home has fibre Wi-Fi available for all residents and a dedicated guest network throughout. iPad tablets, FaceTime, Zoom and Skype access enable regular communication between residents and their relatives.

The home's chef uses fresh local produce to provide a wonderful choice of meals on a daily basis. Residents may choose where they take their meals, be it in the privacy of their own room or together with other residents (and often friends and relatives) in the dining room.

The home has exceptional activities coordinators who arrange a varied programme of events and outings with its bespoke minibus, including visits to local stately homes, drama therapy, musical entertainment, Yoga, virtual reality headsets and the more earthy pursuits of helping the garden to look as wonderful as it does.

My mother-in-law lived at Stone House for almost a year. She was treated with dignity and respect until she passed away. She had dementia but the care home had lots of activities and music which she seemed to enjoy. Her face always lit up when the singers came to entertain and she loved to dance.
It's
a really homely place with kind and friendly staff.

I can't praise Stone House Nursing Home highly enough. Being small the residents care staff ratio is good. Not only is the nursing excellent but there are a variety of activities designed to stimulate residents either in the lounges or individual rooms. The food is good, the decor and grounds well maintained
and although the staff are busy they always have time to talk to relatives and to act upon requests as soon as possible.
My elderly mother was loved and cared for at Stone House for the last 18 months of her life. I wouldn't have wished for her to have been anywhere else.

This care home is amazing. It is run by the manager and the most caring staff, many of whom have been with the company for years. The care they give their residents is second to none and the home provides them with lots of entertainment and you can see the residents enjoying these events. The meals
they provide are all prepared fresh every day by the resident chef. The atmosphere when you visit the home is also something, welcoming and lots of laughter all around.
A super home and I can thoroughly recommend it.

My mother has been at Stone House since May 2017, following a fall at her home resulting in a hospital stay. She has been diagnosed with dementia but is fairly mobile but has poor sight. Stone House has been able to manage these issues extremely well and kept us (her daughters) informed at every level
with her continuing care plan. They also supported us.

My stepmother could not be in better hands. She's not capable of looking after herself following a major stroke in the New Year, yet she is lively and demanding. The staff at Stone House are very good with her. There seems to be a never-ending stream of attention being paid to her which is how she likes
it. hair do's, nailcare, Pilates (!). Always such a lot going on. Perfect for her and infinitely preferable from every point of view to coming home and being lonely and vulnerable. All of her friends and family are now convinced Stone House is perfect for her.

Stone House are looking after our mother very well. She is treated with dignity and my sister and I have no worries about leaving her.
Nothing is too much trouble for them and we feel we too are listened to.
When Mum has had a few health problems, e.g. gallstones and eye problems, the home has acted
promptly with getting a doctor and kept us informed as soon as possible.

From the moment I arrived with my mother the quality of the care was evident. I knew from that moment on my sister and I had chosen a truly wonderful place for our mother. Even after settling her in the superb care continued. The staff are extremely passionate about their care for patients and this

My father has been at Stone house since November. The care is absolutely first class. It feels like one big family, everyone is so kind and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. I have seen a positive change in my father and it is so reassuring to know he is happy, well and safe and treated with the

From meeting the staff for a tour, I had a very good feeling. My mum was treated with the utmost care and attention by all there and I could finally relax knowing she was being well looked after. As a relative, I was well informed and felt very welcome too. I cannot rate them high enough.
I only wish
my mum lived longer to appreciate her surroundings and care.

This is a lovely care home and my grandad is looked after so well. The carers are so friendly, attentive and caring and we can always leave the home knowing he is in safe hands. The care home is beautiful and I love coming to visit as well as meeting the staff.

I was so very impressed with every aspect of this beautiful home, from the first moment I came to visit I cannot fault one thing. Nothing is ever too much trouble. The best thing for me is that I know my father is getting the best care and support every day. He is so well cared for, he believes he is

An appointment was speedily arranged for me to view Stone House nursing home the following day after my initial enquiry. Whilst I was viewing the nursing home, I was compassionately shown the actual room which my dad would be in by the admissions manageress, then shown around the rest of the home and
introduced to several of the key staff who were all very polite and cheerful. By the time my viewing was concluded, the manager of the nursing home had already visited my dad in hospital to assess his suitability to be transferred from hospital to Stone House. All further arrangements to move dad were carried out by Stone House on my behalf.


Dad was admitted for palliative care and was treated with extreme dignity, care and humility (as was I) by all the nurses, staff and management involved in his care. Dad needed 24-hour nursing care and I feel he could not have had better care for the remaining few days of his life than he received at Stone House.

I would recommend Stone House Nursing Home to anyone who expects the highest quality of care. My cousin has been looked after with kindness and has improved health wise since she came to live here. To sum up, I would say she has been treated with DIGNITY - which I think is so important.

I visit the home about three times a week. The staff work relentlessly in often difficult situations to help residents have a fulfilling life as possible. They are always treated as individuals and with respect. Likes and dislikes are noted and acted upon. There is always someone to put an arm around
a resident if they are upset or tearful. They are cheerful and helpful even in the most difficult situations. The food is freshly cooked and appetising. An alternative choice is always available. My husband needs total care. His dignity is always treated with respect. The home itself is spotlessly clean and welcoming. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Stone House Nursing Home

Staff are always helpful when inquiring about my relative and informative when my sister visits. My relative is aged 94 and has dementia. She is kept clean and fed regularly. She took out a funeral plan which gives the relatives comfort. Well done Stone House!!

No matter what time of day or evening you visit the staff are always welcoming. The home is always clean and the residents always look well cared for. Staff always around and nothing too much trouble.
The staff take the time to get to know residents individual needs.
Plenty going on throughout the
day if residents want to take part.
The food on offer each day is always lovely as are the cakes :)
