We have found the care home and staff to be very welcoming and hospitable. They have welcomed my mother and her family. But have also been hospitable to her guests in the way in which she would have done whilst living in her own home.
The home is warm and the environment feels comfortable. It very
much feels like 'home-from-home'.

Any concerns or questions we have had during this period whilst my mother settles into the environment have been promptly responded to.

My mother has been at Sunrise for 6 years. The carers and management have been friendly, kind, supportive but most importantly they are very kind to my mother. They have a tough job and at times a lot of responsibility. Dementia residents can be very difficult and I admire the staff. There are areas
that could be improved but not involving the carers! Thank you so much.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I have visited this care home on many occasions and seen many interactions between staff and residents. I have always witnessed warmth, intelligence, good humour, gentle care and imaginative anticipation. I do not know how Sunrise manages such good discipline and nurturing attention amongst its staff,
but there seems to something good about the culture here. This is, of course, very difficult work and it seems to me that Sunrise provides an exemplar of how it should be done.

My mother has enjoyed living here for the past seven years and has received a high standard of care at all times. Very friendly staff and motivating carers. Having lunch with her in the bistro has the feel of being in a restaurant.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.949)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.949) out of 10 for Beaconsfield Heights Care Home - Avery Collection is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 20 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 20 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.949 for Beaconsfield Heights Care Home - Avery Collection is calculated as follows: ( (226 Excellents x 5) + (10 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 237 Ratings = 4.949
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Beaconsfield Heights Care Home - Avery Collection is based on 20 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 95 registered maximum number of service users is 19, which has been reached with 20 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: General Manager Joined: 2025

Hello!
My name is Simon and I am the General Manager at Beaconsfield Heights.
I am originally from Lancashire but have lived in Buckinghamshire since aged 18. I have spent all of my career working in adult social care.

Having worked across all of the different care sectors, I believe I have gained a good understanding of the dilemmas faced by those in our care and also an appreciation of how daunting it must be to move from the family home into residential care. The thought that I am in a privileged position to be able to influence and have a positive impact on people’s lives is very motivating and rewarding for me.

I am also passionate about supporting our staff to develop and to achieve to the best of their ability. If we have a happy and engaged staff team, it follows that we should have happy, well-cared-for residents and a happy home.

If we can put the individual at the centre of all that we do, we can ensure that our residents are fully involved in all of our decision-making processes, enabling us to deliver care and support that is as individual as they are.

Away from work, I am married with two children and a dog. If I am not at Beaconsfield Heights or at home (or out walking the dog), I can be found following the mighty Preston North End around the country.

Hi, I’m Daniela!

I joined Beaconsfield Heights in July 2025. I originally studied nursing in Romania and worked as a Paramedic before moving to the UK in 2016. That’s when I began my journey in the care sector, working as a Senior Carer and then Team Leader.

Four years ago, I was delighted to step into the role as a Deputy Manager. I’m passionate about supporting my colleagues, sharing my knowledge, and making sure we deliver the very best care to our residents every day.

I love being part of a team that truly makes a difference and seeing the positive impact we have on the lives of the people we care for.

After working as a Pharmacy Technician for 10 years, I decided to follow my heart and move into the care sector. Joining the home as a Care Assistant in 2019, I have been able to develop my career, becoming a Senior Carer, Wellness Co-Ordinator and at the beginning of 2024 I was delighted to be offered the position of Residential Care Manager.

Working alongside my team of incredible carers, we strive to deliver exceptional person-centred care to every resident every day. A busy, varied and hugely rewarding position which I feel privileged to hold.

Job Title: Hotel Services Manager

I am very proud to be part of the team here at Beaconsfield. We always ensure that we deliver five-star service in every department, this was particularly highlighted throughout the pandemic as we recognised it was such a difficult time for residents, families and the staff.

The team spent a lot of time re-assuring residents and kept them mentally and physically stimulated and of course, our resident's safety was and is still the top priority. Our Concierge team run evening activities such as Cheese & Wine nights, Bingo and Quizzes which our residents love! I work closely with residents and their families to ensure that all enjoy dining experiences and that each resident has a nutritional meal plan to suit their needs.
