Nestled within the quiet surroundings of Chelmsford, Admirals Reach care home offers personalised residential, nursing and nursing dementia care to older people.

The professional care team is on hand to help you or your loved one settle into life at the home. The home also offers a range of lovely dining areas where residents can relax and enjoy an intimate dining experience with family and friends, and in addition to the dining rooms, residents can also enjoy mealtimes in the peaceful courtyard garden on sunny days.

My father was a resident for 4 years in Jellicoe House. The staff were wonderful from day 1 when he came in with a new dementia diagnosis through his descent into late-stage dementia and death. They were professional but caring and compassionate throughout the difficult process.


During my numerous

visits I had the opportunity to observe their unswerving dedication and love towards their patients. My family and I are truly grateful for the excellent standard of care Dad received.

I have enjoyed staying here but one thing I must say is there is too much food on my plate at lunchtime but I enjoy the hot chocolate.

I have been here only two weeks now and I find the staff excellent and very helpful. I am treated with dignity and respect all the times.

My father has been cared for very well as he recovers from a broken arm. The staff are friendly, yet respectful and professional in their care duties.
He enjoys the food and there is always drinking water in his room.

Very good overall care. Lovely food. All staff are caring and attentive and senior staff are excellent at helping with any questions or concerns.


I do feel that extra staff would help on both the caring/domestic side given their demanding roles.

My 98-year-old mother was moved into the care home on 24th August 2017.
We are very pleased with all aspects of the home - accommodation, facilities and care provided.
We as a family now feel that our mother is in a safe and friendly environment and commend the staff for all their hard work.

The staff at Mountbatten House were very caring, kind and helpful during the last few years of my mother's very long life.
They treated her like family, celebrated her birthdays and helped to make my regular phone connections from the USA when Mum could no longer hold or manage a telephone.

We have found the care and nursing of my husband of a high degree. Staff show care and understanding of residents needs.
Management are open and caring.

We moved my Uncle to Admirals Reach after the sad loss of his wife. They have all made every effort to make his transition a positive one. During our visits, we have enjoyed charity walks. Singing, dancing, afternoon tea. Having dementia can be frightening for all involved, the sufferer and family too.
However, this home has made life much easier and enjoyable for us all.

Lal is a Registered Nurse with over twenty years’ experience. He is a knowledgeable leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life to older people, to enrich their lives. Lal is dedicated to providing quality care and support for elderly people, to enrich their lives.


Lal closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. He uses his experience to motivate his team to deliver care and support in a way that Residents gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home. Lal is committed to promoting individual choice for Residents, allowing them to feel empowered.


He also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at Admirals Reach.


When asked what he enjoys most about his role, Lal remarked:


“Seeing Residents smiling and knowing that as a team we are making a difference to their lives.”


In his spare time, Lal enjoys playing badminton, travelling to exciting destinations and spending quality time with his family.
