Admirals Reach Care Home

Always clean. Residents all enjoyed the day. Staff very good looking after and interacting with residents, dancing with them and talking. Entertainment was excellent.

The staff are extremely friendly, welcoming and professional. Mum enjoys the activities that are provided, and I can relax in the knowledge that Mum is being cared for.

I dot think my treatment here could in any way be bettered.

I am very happy and pleased with the care and attention my Aunt is receiving. She is very happy with her room and enjoys the food.

Overall very pleased with the care Mum receives. We feel Mum is as good as she can be. The staff are very friendly and have a good rapport with all residents. Staff do seem to have too much paperwork to do and it would be good if they were free of it to offer more care and communication to residents.

The care given to my father is exceptional. They treat him with love and affection, nothing is out of the question.

I found the care for my mum very good, food and conditions are also very good. The evening entertainment is also good, all in all, it is first class. Thank you all.

As my first visit to Admirals Reach, I was so amazed at how lovely the houses were but more so, of the staff who look after the residents, they were so caring and kind to all.

My father has been in Admirals Reach for over 3 years, I visit him at least twice a week. The nursing and care he receives is of the highest standards and is always delivered with respect, understanding and dignity. We are made to feel welcome at all times and we feel fully involved in his life.

Her only complaint was that there was too much food!

It is about independence - that 's the first impression and they help in maintaining your own standards just like home. This is what is highly inviting. Yes, independence that's the key - remarks can tell you this and by walking around the premises what do you see? Everyone doing their own thing all inspired by dreams of their own by making one big company. There you have it, independence in your hands.

Haven't had any problems. If I worry about anything I talk it through with staff. They are great.

I am impressed by the caring attitude of the staff and the social atmosphere in The Mountbatten House Unit. Also, the arrangement for serving meals is very nice and creates a convivial mealtime atmosphere. The meals are in general very good.

The standard of care that our Mum received whilst a resident of Jellicoe House in Admirals Reach, a dementia unit, was exemplary.

Each member of the multidisciplinary team; qualified nursing staff, care assistants, activity leaders, cleaning, laundry and catering staff strived to see mum as the individual that she was and to care for her accordingly.

After having taken mum out for a ride/walk, getting her back in was never a problem as the staff understood that a fresh cup of tea and some biscuits always worked wonders!

The regular visit of the GP from the local practice was reassuring and valued as was their support after Mum's death on the 17th February.

The atmosphere that pervaded the unit was one of love and compassion, fun and laughter and in no time mum's family had a host of new friends in the staff there supporting us through the night and into the early morning as mum passed peacefully away.
