Nestled within the quiet surroundings of Chelmsford, Admirals Reach care home offers personalised residential, nursing and nursing dementia care to older people.

The professional care team is on hand to help you or your loved one settle into life at the home. Inside, Admirals Reach's modern yet homely interior includes well-furnished lounges and spacious rooms as well as a conservatory. Arranged in five separate houses, four of these provide dementia care and one provides residential care.

The home also offers a range of lovely dining areas where residents can relax and enjoy an intimate dining experience with family and friends, and in addition to the dining rooms, residents can also enjoy mealtimes in the peaceful courtyard garden on sunny days.

The care my mum is receiving is of a high standard along with the meals.
Staff very helpful, caring and understanding. Short staffing at some times and cleanliness slips on bedroom, toilets and main areas. Activities needs a new fresh look into more activities to cater for their needs. We are still
waiting over a year for a new refurbishment, more colour, texture, relaxing for all.

Thank you for your comments on the high standards of care your Mother receives at Admirals Reach. We are in the process of employing 3 new housekeeping staff, meanwhile, we have requested our own staff to cover where needed. Residents have plenty of activities planned by the well-being coordinators following consultation from Residents and their families, however, we welcome any new suggestions. We are still waiting for the confirmation of the date for refurbishment.

We are always welcomed when visiting the home to visit my aunt. She seems very happy and content to be living here. She enjoys the company and does not seem lonely. She enjoys the food and entertainment. We are happy that we do not have to worry about her as she is well looked after.

My Mother-in-law has been a resident for a couple of months now. We have noticed a change in her. She is interacting with staff and residents, very chatty now. She looks well, clean and always well dressed. Her regular medication is also obvious to see. Her room is excellent. Staff seem very knowledgeable

“For me, it’s making a real difference to our Resident’s lives with good care delivery and support.”


Lal is a Registered Nurse with over twenty years’ experience. He is a knowledgeable leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life to older people, to enrich their lives. Lal is dedicated to providing quality care and support for elderly people, to enrich their lives.


Lal closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. He uses his experience to motivate his team to deliver care and support in a way that Residents gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home. Lal is committed to promoting individual choice for Residents, allowing them to feel empowered.


He also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at Admirals Reach.


When asked what he enjoys most about his role, Lal remarked:


“Seeing Residents smiling and knowing that as a team we are making a difference to their lives.”


In his spare time, Lal enjoys playing badminton, travelling to exciting destinations and spending quality time with his family.
