Ashlar House, on the whole, is a beautiful home for any relative that stays here. I feel comfortable that the staff deal with and have Mum's needs covered. Staff are always around and meet any requests made as quickly as they can. They are always pleasant and helpful. The home is always clean and tidy and is obvious that a great deal of effort is put into maintaining standards.

Staff in all departments are friendly and professional. Every effort is made to ensure each client feels at home and has privacy in their own room. Culinary preferences are taken into consideration and used by family or GP. One to one is available for more vulnerable clients with their independence and current abilities sustained as part of their ongoing care ensuring each person reaches his/her own potential. Entertainment is excellent.

A recent period of hospitalisation following a fall in a previous home, provided a good opportunity to move my Dad to Ashlar House where he is closer to his family.
The staff have been attentive and supportive - they have settled Dad in and have got him involved with the numerous activities going on. It is great to see Dad so happy.

Ashlar House put in the extra effort to provide a fun and stimulating home for residents in which friends and family are always made welcome.

I cannot recommend Ashlar House enough, I never at any time had cause for concern. My mum was treated with such care and kindness with all staff encouraging all family members to stay for as long as the family wanted and we were all made so welcome. Ashlar House is like a large family home.

It was my Nan's 100th birthday. The home did an amazing job. They made sure she had the best time (a party and a singer) wonderful. She really enjoyed it and so did all the family. Seeing her smiling and signing was so great to see. It was all down to the wonderful staff. Thank you so much, it really made her day and you all worked as you do every day, so hard. You are all such a lovely caring bunch of girls and it makes us, as a family, happy to know she is in good hands.

Since the day my father arrived, he has been treated with the utmost respect by everyone at Ashlar House, just like he was a member of their own family. The nursing home is spotless, the staff are kind and everything is done to make Dad comfortable. They go the extra mile with food alternatives, care and cleanliness. I really could not wish for anywhere better for my dad.

Our friend died recently after about five years in Ashlar House with dementia. Throughout his stay, he has been cared for with great compassion and the atmosphere created by staff has been one of friendliness and good humour. Being unable to communicate he always ate well until the end and the staff were always on hand to help whenever we visited. Would recommend this home to others.

I am the daughter of a resident from Ashlar House Care Home who sadly passed away in the early hours of yesterday morning whilst in your care. I just wanted to express my deepest felt appreciation and massive thanks for everything that the care staff did for my mum during her last few harrowing months/weeks of her life in at Ashlar House. I simply just cannot speak highly enough of the staff’s genuine kindness, concern and ongoing dedication. I honestly feel that they went above and beyond the call of duty in caring for my mum. They all work so tirelessly hard in carrying out a very physically and emotionally demanding job and I never once heard a single one of them moan. They were always so warm, welcoming and friendly and couldn’t do more to go out of their way to help my mum in any way humanly possible given her high level of requirements.
